I have visited the same-named restaurant in Kyoto Hachiman many times during lunchtime, but this is my first time at this particular restaurant. When I asked the staff, they told me that the Ohigashi branch is directly managed while the Hachiman branch is a franchise. The miso ramen here has a slightly sweet soup with medium-thick curly noodles that are chewy. The thick slices of chashu are so tender that they crumble easily when picked up with chopsticks. I ended up wearing a paper apron at the end, but it was flying everywhere. It's better to wear it. (laughs)

I had lunch at Misoya Shoten, a miso ramen specialty store, in September 2023! I had the cold tantan noodles and got a free grilled chashu slice for registering on their LINE account. It was the first cold noodles of the scorching summer this year. They have delicious options like miso curry ramen, Ise miso mixed noodles, and spicy miso ramen on the menu. The miso curry ramen or Ise miso mixed noodles sound great! I will definitely be coming back here for a while. The seasonal miso cold tantan noodles were delicious and perfect for the hot weather. The tantan meat miso was tasty and the soup was flavorful. It was a great choice for my first and probably last cold noodles of the year. The portion of the grilled chashu as a service was generous and incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal! ❤️

The first time I started to like miso ramen was at a shop in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, but I rediscovered it in Odai City after about 15 years! The reunion was so moving, and of course, the ramen was delicious. The curly noodles with the rich soup were just perfect. I later found out that you can also order the noodles extra firm. The toppings like vegetables are different depending on the region - for example, Shinshu miso ramen has wild vegetables, while in Hokkaido, it comes with fried potatoes. It's a unique topping, but I had forgotten about it until now. There is also shichimi pepper for seasoning, which adds a nice touch. The chashu pork had a hint of gaminess, and it was torched with a burner to enhance the flavor. The soft-boiled egg was gooey and delicious. Overall, it was a delightful experience to reunite with this taste after so long. It was just lunchtime and the restaurant was busy, but we were seated in less than 30 minutes thanks to the fast turnover. The attentive service from the staff was much appreciated. I chose the Shinshu miso ramen (¥847) from the three miso options available. I was served quickly after ordering while waiting. The ramen had minced meat and vegetables instead of chashu, and after tasting the soup, I understood why. The minced meat went really well with the miso flavor. I always associated miso ramen with winter, but eating it while sweating in the summer was surprisingly enjoyable. This bowl made me feel like I could get hooked on summer miso ramen.

I had been curious about this restaurant that serves long-hidden miso ramen, so I ordered the Spicy Miso Vegetable Ramen for ¥1100. It was packed with vegetables!! The spiciness wasn't too strong, and I could also taste a bit of sourness in the flavor. It had a tangy taste similar to Szechuan noodles. The noodles were medium-thick and curly, and they mixed well with the soup. Personally, I ordered something spicy, but the spiciness had a tangy kick, so it was a bit unexpected. The combination of vegetables and soup was excellent! The vegetables were delicious. I also ordered miso fried rice, which tasted more like soba rice than miso.

While out driving, I stumbled upon a ramen shop with a parking lot. When I entered around 11:30, both the parking lot and the restaurant were empty. However, when I left, there was a line forming. I ordered the Kyushu miso pork and green onion ramen with gyoza set, as well as the Shinshu miso tantanmen. The miso ramen had a sweet and rich soup. It was delicious!

Daio City "Menya Tadokoro Shoten" Shinshu Miso Tantanmen for 957 yen, my son had Hokkaido Miso for 847 yen. We also ordered Mini Miso Fried Rice for 396 yen. The miso has a rich flavor and is delicious, but the scent of Nagano Shichimi is also very fragrant. This popular restaurant is recommended for early visits. They offer a variety of miso options, so it might be difficult to choose, but we will continue to visit.

Before watching Nozaki Pro Wrestling, I visited a restaurant and had Hokkaido miso ramen (847 yen including tax) with noodles increased by 1.5 times (121 yen including tax). The ramen did not come with chashu, so I added a topping of miso-marinated chashu for 165 yen including tax. The price for one bowl of ramen was quite high... The soup was rich and delicious. The noodles were short and had a smooth, curly texture, but were a bit disappointing. The service was very polite and I was able to enjoy my meal comfortably. Thank you for the meal.

Headed to the Daiei branch of Menya Tadokoro Shoten. This branch in Kansai has been expanding, offering consistently delicious miso ramen. As a suburban-style store, it has a spacious parking lot and the interior is also spacious with mainly table seating. The current menu features the three mainstays of Hokkaido miso, Shinshu miso, and Kyushu barley miso, along with Yamagata miso and Nishikyo miso. I tried the Yamagata miso ramen, topped with boiled konjac. The rich miso-flavored soup has a strong taste of koji, giving it a unique deliciousness. The umami of the pork bone base also provides solid support. The firm and chewy curly thick noodles pair well with the soup. I added shichimi spice from the table toppings, which goes really well with it. It enhances the richness and sweetness of the miso. I also ordered a mini miso fried rice set. The fried rice has a nice fluffy texture and blends well with the miso flavor. When leaving the restaurant, there were more than 10 people waiting outside. Menya Tadokoro Shoten is popular for a reason. Thank you for the meal.

It was so crowded that it caught my attention, so I went with my mother. Well, considering that there are hardly any shops in the area near universities and high schools, it's no wonder they are so busy. They had three different types of miso and a variety of toppings. I usually don't like ramen, but I found the ramen here quite easy to eat. I added extra chashu, and it definitely tasted different from the packaged chashu you can buy in stores. They even provide paper aprons, disposable plates, and hair ties, which I thought was helpful as a woman.

I received Kyushu Miso Chashu and it was excellent! They offer free barley tea at the store for heatstroke prevention, which I think is a great contribution to the community as a company and as a store. In the neighborhood, they are definitely the top contender for best miso ramen!

Dan dan noodles and chashu rice bowl. Hmm, I think it's better to eat dan dan noodles at a specialty store. I tried dan dan noodles this time instead of miso ramen, but it didn't have any distinctive features and I realized that it's better to stick with miso ramen at a miso ramen shop. The chashu rice bowl had a lot of rice, but since it only had chashu on top, I ended up with leftover rice.

Miso ramen specialty shop. My friend also said the soup is strong, but it depends on personal preference. They can dilute it for you. I ordered butter ramen for 870 yen, chashu for 150 yen, and small rice for 100 yen. It's not the best, but it's delicious. There is no chashu in the ramen, so I ordered it as a side menu. The seared chashu was delicious. The small rice portion is decent. It was a tasty bowl overall.

I went to Menya Tadokoro Shoten and ordered the miso-marinated seared chashu ramen. The man at the table next to me ordered his with okra topping instead of chashu, which I found strange. The ramen and tempura on top were delicious, but the chashu was quite rich and oily. I realized the meaning of the man's order after I started eating. He had also ordered white rice, so he managed to finish his meal, but another person at the table seemed to struggle with their chashu rice bowl. I think this place is great for those who love rich chashu.

During a business trip, I decided to stop for lunch along the way. I came across a ramen shop called "Menjo Tadokoro Shoten Daito Branch" on the Yao-Maizuru Line and was drawn in. It used to be where "Ringer Hut" was located. The parking lot was quite spacious and convenient. The restaurant was bustling, even on a weekday afternoon. It seems to specialize in miso ramen, but unfortunately, they don't offer a lunch menu. I ordered the limited-time Fukushima (Aizu) miso ramen for 880 yen. The soup had a rich miso flavor, and the noodles were firm and chewy. The squid and carrots as toppings were delicious, but I wished there was more minced meat. Personally, I prefer slightly richer or sweeter miso flavors, so next time, I might try the Shinshu miso or Kyushu miso. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely visit again if I have the chance.

Managed to find a spot in the garage and pulled off a graceful drift while moving to park. 🚗💨 Between the sweet Kyushu miso and the spicy Hokkaido miso, I was torn... But in the end, I went with ⭐Hokkaido Spicy Miso Ramen⭐ with miso-marinated char siu on top. Only added one slice of char siu as I really wanted miso fried rice, but my aging stomach couldn't handle it. The spicy miso broth with the sweetness and richness of minced meat and vegetables was delicious ❤️ The crunchy bean sprouts added a nice touch. "Miso is a treasure of the Japanese," as they say. Yogurt and bread are good, but Japanese people are all about meat on top of miso rice with pickles, right? Ah, may miso and soy sauce be eternal partners. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal! ❤️

The miso fried rice doesn't particularly taste like miso, but it's light and fluffy (´∀`) The taste is like regular fried rice, but it's easy to eat and goes well with miso ramen! The miso gyoza is eaten with miso instead of gyoza sauce (´∀`) It's not heavily miso-flavored, more like a hint of vinegar miso! "Tagoto Shoten Daito Branch" opened on the former site of Ringer Hut. It is a roadside restaurant with a large parking lot, giving off a family-friendly national chain store vibe. I finally had the chance to visit. Looking at the menu, I noticed that they only serve miso ramen, with three types of miso available: Hokkaido miso, Shinshu miso, and Kyushu barley miso. It seemed like they have confidence in their miso, so I had high expectations. I ordered the Hokkaido spicy miso vegetable ramen for 1,056 yen. First, the soup. The miso was delicious, slightly sweet and rich in flavor. The soup was not overly strong in miso flavor, thanks to the tasty broth that provided a mild and smooth taste. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles, perfectly complementing the miso ramen. The spiciness paired well with the miso, making it very delicious. I visited around 6:30 pm on a weekday and had to wait for about 15 minutes as there were 5 groups ahead of me. It was quite popular."

Today's lunch is the Hokkaido Spicy Miso Ramen with 2 slices of seared chashu on top. It's my first day back at work in January. This chain restaurant may seem typical, but I came back because the white miso ramen from Kyushu and the seared chashu were delicious last time. Today, I had the Hokkaido Spicy Miso Ramen with 2 slices of seared chashu on top. You can add chashu slices one by one. The sweet and spicy rich miso ramen brings out the elements of tantanmen with minced meat. It's my favorite. So delicious! I added extra spicy miso and chili as a spicy ramen master. Sweet, spicy, and delicious. Isn't it great? So warming and tasty. It was delicious. Next time, I might try the Shinshu miso ramen. Thank you for the meal. ❤️
