I made a reservation for my first visit at 6:00 pm on a Saturday in February 2023. "Aji Sake Kamunabi" is a popular izakaya located between Tanimachi Yonchome and Rokuchome stations, known for its lineup of Japanese sake and delicious dishes. The exterior of the restaurant is stylish, and the interior is a very relaxing space. I could only see counter seats, with chairs in the front and sunken kotatsu-style seats in the raised back section. The owners, the master and the mistress, run the place with a polite and elegant brightness, making it a very comfortable atmosphere. Currently, they offer a set course for 3,300 yen (tax included), followed by additional orders based on your preferences. The sake selection includes a variety from all over Japan, and even some from French breweries, all carefully chosen. The sake and dishes I enjoyed that day included a variety of dishes like salted beans, chawanmushi, sashimi, and more, paired with different types of sake like white sake from Ise, junmai ginjo sake from Hokkaido, and pure rice sake from France. The food was exceptional, using carefully selected ingredients, and the sake had a wide range of flavors to enjoy. I also tried the recommended turnip sushi as an additional dish, which was perfect as a pairing with the sake. Overall, the food and sake were delicious, and I was charmed by the experience at Kamunabi. I would definitely like to visit again in the future.

Located about a 5-minute walk from either Tanimachi Yonchome Station or Tanimachi Rokuchome Station on the Osaka Metro lines in Chuo-ku, Osaka. It's a bit closer to Tanimachi Rokuchome Station. I made a reservation about three weeks in advance as this place is very popular. I arrived a little early and spent some time in the park next door, but it was quite hot that day! Finally, it was time for the restaurant to open, so I went in and took a seat at the counter. I ordered a Heartland beer (bottle) for 700 yen to start and quench my thirst. It disappeared quickly! The chef explained that they would serve about four dishes, including sashimi, followed by a la carte orders. I then ordered a sparkling sake from Ise for 600 yen. The first appetizer was okra and black rice with plum vinegar. The Ise sake was slightly sparkling, sweet, and quite bubbly. The okra and black rice dish with plum vinegar was refreshing and stimulated my tired stomach on that hot day. Next, the restaurant's specialty, salted beans, arrived. I added a dry sake from Okuharima (Shimomura Shuzo) to accompany it. The Okuharima sake was dry and refreshing. I also added a Happy Doburoku sake from Shiga (Happy Taro Brewery) for 850 yen. The salted beans consisted of various types of beans, allowing me to taste the difference in flavors. It was a nice change of pace. The Happy Doburoku sake was a pleasantly mysterious sake with a slightly sparkling, sweet, and acidic taste that left a good aftertaste. It was delicious too. Then came the sashimi (conger eel from Yamaguchi, cutlassfish from Nagasaki) and cutlassfish namero (complimentary). The cutlassfish had different levels of fat in various parts, which was interesting. The cutlassfish namero was my first time trying it, and it was delicious with its fatty taste. Finally, there was grilled mackerel with sweet bean paste, ginkgo nuts, faux eel, and fig peanut salad. I ordered a Shoryu (junmai from France) to go with it. The mackerel was plump and delicious, and the other dishes were great for accompanying sake. The Shoryu sake is made by a Frenchman, Gregoire Bouffet, in Lyon, France. It was made from sake rice exported from Japan, which was interesting. It was delicious, so I enjoyed it. Lastly, I ordered dried persimmon butter for 600 yen, thinking it would go well with the Shoryu sake. And it did! The chef and the lady in charge provided friendly and helpful service with just the right amount of distance. It was a great meal with delicious fish and good sake. Thank you for the meal. I believe reservations are essential for this restaurant. 7200 yen.

First visit. A shop where you can enjoy Japanese sake located next to Doza Park. It was a long-awaited visit. The interior of the shop, with only a counter, has a very charming atmosphere. You can enjoy a course meal and try various Japanese sake that piques your interest. They provide a wide variety of sake and explain the characteristics and background of each sake, making it a very good shop in my opinion. The menu is designed for enjoying sake, with smaller portions, so it may not be suitable for those who want to eat a lot. It was just right for me.

During my stay in Osaka, I was looking for a traditional Japanese restaurant for one of the three dinners, and I found this place. It had previously received one Michelin star and was listed in the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog in 2022. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by a wide selection of sake. I took off my shoes and entered the warm wooden interior. The counter seats were spacious and comfortable. We opted for the chef's choice set menu of 5 dishes (3000 yen) followed by the option to order a la carte. Since I didn't know much about sake, I left the selection to the staff. We started with a beer and a variety of salted beans, each with a unique flavor, making for a perfect appetizer. We were each served different sake based on our preferences. The dishes included dishes like blowfish milt with white sauce, tuna sashimi with tofu and rape blossoms, and grilled turnips with oyster miso. Each dish was delicious and paired well with the sake. We also ordered additional dishes like grilled horse mackerel and shrimp cooked in sansho pepper oil. The atmosphere was cozy, and both the chef and staff were friendly. Overall, it was a great experience for sake lovers who enjoy pairing it with delicious food.

In February 2023, I visited "Ajisake Kamunabi" after a long time. Whenever my sake-loving friends come to Osaka, they always request to go to Kamunabi, so it's convenient for me. We made a reservation for 6:30 pm and sat at the counter. This time, the number of dishes in the course has decreased, but it seems like there are more options for a la carte dishes after the course. The course and additional dishes we had this time were as follows: - Specialty!! Salted beans - Soup: Izuminami snap peas, Awaji fugu shirako - Sashimi: Himi higashage tuna, Naruto Murakouichi's cold bora, Kishu nanohana - Izari Bay oysters, Ogakuro turnip - Kushiro yellowtail, Fukuoka daikon, Naga-hama Happy Taro's koji pickles - Tea and sweets [Additional] - Squid legs of the armored squid - Kumamoto shiba shrimp with sansho pepper oil - Hanamaki Holohoro chicken white liver and natto pate - Dried persimmon butter Sake: - Ise's white sake, traditional two-stage brewing (Mie) - Aizu Musume Yukigasumi no Sato Junmai Nama Sake Usumigori (Fukushima) - Shoryu Akatsuki Junmai Yamadanishiki 2016 (France) - Koikuma Nama Kimoto Junmai Muroka Fire Sake 15-bun Kuma (Fukushima) - Jutoku Asahi Nama Kimoto Junmai Sake "Kyokuso" (Shimane) - Hakutaka Junmai Ginjo Ise Jingu Limited Edition (Hyogo) As always, the content was very satisfying. The bora and higashage tuna were delicious tonight. There were plenty of dishes to go with the sake, and I ended up drinking too much. Thank you for the feast!

This is a sake specialty shop located about 5 minutes from Tanimachi 4-chome. I visited a few years ago and they still only serve sake (they also have bottled beer) and offer courses that pair well with sake. What surprised me this time was that they have homemade soba noodles! I tried the cold soba with salt and the warm nameko soba as well. They also had other ingredients like tender chicken and perfectly blood-drained sea bass by Murakouichi-san. Of course, the sake selection was great, and the proprietress would bring out exactly what you wanted to drink. Plus, she would share stories about the sake, making it really enjoyable. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I heard that Kamunabi sake at Aji Sake in Tanimachi 6-chome is delicious, and when I arrived, I was amazed by the wide selection of Japanese sake available. I started with a toast with a pre-dinner drink! I had made a reservation for a course, and various dishes were served in small plates. Every dish served was elegant and refined, with a simple and light seasoning that allowed the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through. It may feel a bit light for those who are used to strong flavors like fast food or ramen, but I personally think it's great to be able to taste the ingredients. It was delicious!

[Visit Date] Dinner on 7/29/2022 [Order] Chef's Course Beers: Small bottle Sake: Junmai Ginjo Nama Jyokawa, Junmai Daiginjo Toyoemon, Junmai Nama Yamahai Recently, there have been frequent cluster outbreaks at my workplace. Despite that, I have to go to the office every day in a black environment. Fed up with this daily routine, I decided to go drinking at this izakaya, which is known as one of the top 100 izakayas in the area. It's about a 15-minute walk from my house, but on this particular day, it was pouring rain, so I took the train. I arrived at 7:00 PM, and the counter, with about 10 seats, was fully occupied. The course menu for the day included the following dishes (if I remember correctly): Corn, Lychee, New Ginkgo, Agar Agar, Okayama Garlic Mountain Soba, Conger Eel, Golden Eye Snapper Sushi, Matsutake Mushroom, Eggplant, Fig, Somen Noodles, Kabocha Squash, Man'yoji Chili Pepper, Biwa Trout Sushi, Nigoi Tempura, Garofresh, Sweet Red Beans, Cucumber Bonito, New Lotus Root, Ooyama Soba, Tomato, Shiso Baby Leaf, Kudzu Mochi. The Biwa Trout Sushi, Nigoi Tempura, and Soba left a lasting impression. The course had few dishes and portions, so it only filled me up to about 50%. I could have ordered more, but I didn't want to overeat, so I paid and left. On my way out, I bought some natto, which had caught my eye earlier. The total bill was around 11,000 yen. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since my last visit. During the state of emergency, the restaurant was closed. It is a Japanese sake sales and dining establishment called "Yamanaka no Sake." The owner was fascinated by the fermentation of sake and incorporates fermented dishes into the course meals. As an opportunity during the state of emergency, they started selling a unique natural natto called "Tanimachi Natto." It seems to be one of the top 100 izakayas, but in Osaka, "Kamunabi" and "Shimanouchi Ichiyō" are exceptional. Their cuisine is of high quality and not your typical izakaya. They do not offer lunch sets, and the notion that cheap equals high rating does not apply here. The owner, landlady, and staff are all very friendly, making it a beloved spot for many regular customers. It's a place where you can leisurely enjoy your drinks. They have even received recognition from Michelin. The only course available is priced at 6000 yen. The menu lists the ingredients used that day, and additional orders are allowed. The dishes, designed to pair well with the gentle flavors of Japanese sake, are served in small portions. If you're looking for a hearty meal, I recommend their sister restaurant in Ōkunimachi, "Sakafune." They offer a variety of sake from different breweries nationwide, and even some from France. It's worth asking the owner for recommendations! The course includes: - Tofu with crab miso, jelly of red snow crab - Yuzu, Kaga thick cucumber - Soba noodles, Warabi soba - Grilled nodokuro with Kyoto miso - Sashimi (sea bass, red snapper, bonito) - Deer meat soup - Bamboo shoots and itadori wrapped in yuba - Grilled pork stir-fry with firefly squid and mountain udo - Homemade Tanimachi natto goya champuru - Adzuki beans and mango

March 2022. Second visit this month to "Ajisake Kamunabi" restaurant. Went with a friend who loves Japanese sake and came all the way from Tokyo. We made a reservation for 6:00 PM and were seated at the counter. I thought the menu would be similar to my previous visit this month, but I was pleasantly surprised by a completely different lineup. The course and sake we enjoyed this time included: - Sauteed ark shell, urui, new young leaves, firefly squid lübe - One-bite 100% buckwheat soba with salt - One-bite 100% buckwheat soba (warm) with pickled wasabi leaves - Sashimi: longfin tuna, bolan - Mackerel and buckwheat seeds namero-style - Cherry trout emerald grilled with white asparagus - Soup: Tai from Akashi, squid from Kishiwada, bamboo shoots - Biwa trout & red turnip from Nagahama Happy Taro's koji pickles, soft chicken thigh, zenmai - Tea and sweets [additional] Sake was one cup each for the two of us: - Ise white sake, active nigorizake (Mie) - Kamikawa Taisetsu Junmai Ginjo Nama Ginpu (Hokkaido) - Aizu Musume Junmai Ginjo Akikashiyamada Nishiki (Fukushima) - Akikashiyama Murasaki Moyou Yamahai Junmai Nigorizake (Osaka) - Suiyemon Namazake Junmai (Iwate) - Tenon Mizu Namazake Junmai Nigorizake (Shimane) - Niseiko Namazake Junmai (Hokkaido) - Matsunomori Junmai Ginjo Nama (Shiga) Everything from the food to the sake was delicious, but I especially loved the mackerel and buckwheat seeds namero-style! (Definitely a dish that makes you drink more sake~) The bolan sashimi and soba were also perfect with the sake. Looking back, I realize I drank more than usual~ haha. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience once again. Thank you for the wonderful meal! I also got some Tanimachi Natto as a souvenir for my friend, as the chef apparently also enjoys making natto.

I visited the Japanese sake specialty restaurant "Ajisake Kamunabi"! The only option available is a course menu for 6000 yen. I had high expectations for the dishes that pair well with sake! I took off my shoes and sat at the counter in the back of the restaurant. After hearing the explanation of the course menu, I started with Firefly Squid with Vinegar Miso and Onion. It had a refreshing taste and was delicious! It's the season for firefly squid after all. Next was a dish of 100% buckwheat Soba Sashimi (with sea chub and sea bream in sesame dressing). The sea chub was fresh with no fishy smell at all! The meal continued with dishes that paired well with sake. In the end, my friend and I ended up drinking 8 cups of sake together! We got a bit tipsy~ The collaboration of sake and Japanese cuisine was amazing! It was a feast. I will definitely visit again soon. It's a repeat visit for sure!

In March 2022, after about a year, I visited "Ajisake Kamunabi" again. Last time, I was impressed by "Minshuku Toono Doburoku," so I was hoping to encounter delicious sake again this time. I made a reservation for 6:00 pm and sat at the counter. We started with a toast with Shinomine for a pre-dinner drink. The sake and dishes I enjoyed this time are as follows. *We shared 1 go of sake between two people. - Shinomine Moromi Kassei Nigori Sake (Nara) - Rumiko no Sake Junmai Nigori Sake (Mie) - Minshuku Toono Doburoku Namazake, No Additives (Iwate) - Minshuku Toono Doburoku Mizumoto, Aged for Three Years (Iwate) - Aizumusume Junmai Ginjo Sake (Fukushima) Made with Akigakimi rice. The label features an illustration of a deer, the owner's daughter. - Kamikawa Taisetsu Yamahai Junmai Tokubetsu (Hokkaido) The sake was delicious as always. I particularly enjoyed the Minshuku Toono Doburoku, which was still to my liking, and the Aizumusume, with its fruity melon-like flavor, was also a hit. The Kamikawa Taisetsu was dangerously easy to drink. [Recommended Chef's Course] 6000 yen - Firefly Squid Nobiru Gurguru with Yuzukosho - One-bite Jusoba with Salt - One-bite Jusoba (Hot) - Sashimi: Akashi's Madai with Vinegar and Salt, Naruto's Bora with Sesame Dressing with Akita's Mountain Udo - Deep-fried: Akashi's Furuse, Kishiwada's Freshly Harvested Bamboo Shoots - Kuwana Clams with Toba's Aosanori and Saga's Asparagus Meringue - Aomori Sakura Trout with Kagawa Fuki Miso Grilled with Onions and Onions - Hanamaki Ishikuro Farm's Horohoro Chicken Soup with Shizuoka Hanayama Wasabi, Suo Oshima Me Hiyoko Beans, and Tokushima Yuzu Flowers, White Cabbage - Hot Tea and Tea Snacks: Kuromon Kobayashi's Senbei Tanba Adzuki Bean Homemade Anko & Yuzu Jam [Additional] *Price for two people - Specialty!! Salted Beans 500 yen (Crackake Beans, Red Squeezed Beans, Gold Time Beans, Toro Beans, Toyomizuki Beans, Black Beans, Hiyoko Beans, Purple Flower Beans) - Landlady's Onigiri 600 yen (Salt Onigiri sandwiched in seaweed with Soy Sauce-pickled Mountain Burdock) - Akashi's Madai Soup 600 yen The newly added freshly made soba by the new staff, the sashimi, and the delicious sake made for a delightful evening. And the soothing finale of onigiri and soup warmed my heart. Despite drinking and eating quite a lot, the total bill for one person was 11,400 yen. The atmosphere was great, and I still love this place. Thank you for the wonderful meal. I am planning to revisit soon as a friend from Tokyo is coming, coincidentally in the same month. Looking forward to the end of the month!

Located a 5-7 minute walk from Tanimachi Rokuchome Station, Kamunabi is a popular izakaya known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious small dishes. Selected as one of the top 100 izakayas in 2021, this place is perfect for enjoying a variety of dishes that pair well with sake. We ordered the chef's special course featuring fresh ingredients of the day, including unique dishes like natto mochi and succulent sashimi. The combination of these dishes with a wide selection of Japanese sake was truly delightful. In addition to their izakaya menu, Kamunabi also sells homemade natto, which sells out quickly due to its popularity. Be sure to visit this place if you're looking for a great dining experience!

I had heard from my neighbors that the restaurant with the #Sanshin concept was delicious, so I had visited a few times and even called to inquire. Luckily, I was able to secure 2 seats for the 6500 yen course on a Friday night. The meal started with white fish and rapeseed blossoms, followed by a refreshing citrus fruit. The bitterness and sweet-sour taste rolled around on my tongue. Next up was hand-made soba noodles, made by a new girl who had recently joined the team! Of course, I had it with salt. The smooth texture and firmness of the noodles were delightful. I prefer cold soba, but the warm version was enjoyable as well. I usually watch my carbohydrate intake, but not having sake at this restaurant would be a waste. I ordered a crisp and dry #Oku-Harima sake, which had a lingering aftertaste. I also had sashimi, including tuna and rare grey mullet. The highlight was definitely the pufferfish milt, which was incredibly creamy. The large-size Moroko fish from Lake Biwa was also a treat, perfectly cooked and paired well with sake. The sea bream, topped with chopped mullet roe, was delicious. I also tried the homemade #Natto dumplings, which had a strong bean flavor. I ended the meal with a sake lees sandwich, which was a perfect harmony of flavors. The course ended there, but feeling a bit unsatisfied, I added an order of #Oyster Fry, which was huge! The tartar sauce with plenty of lemon zest was very sophisticated. The cozy atmosphere and friendly landlady at the spacious counter table made it a perfect place for a mature adult outing. I will definitely visit again. #WantedToBecomeARegular #TanimachiGourmet #TanimachiGochoGourmet #AdultDate #IdealForOver50s #CuisineThatGoesWellWithSake #NoHighballAvailable #AdachiRecommended #AdachiTabelogRating 3.9

On February 23, I visited a highly praised restaurant in Nakanobucho, Osaka called "Ajisake Kamunabi," which was recommended by the respected Nara-based blogger, Milevi, who said, "There is no other place where you can enjoy such a variety of sake and perfectly matched dishes." The restaurant offers a seasonal creative cuisine and a selection of carefully curated sake from all over Japan. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with hand sanitizing gel and asked to remove our shoes before being led to a long counter seat in the back with partitions for safety. Despite it being early on a weekday, the place was already lively with five other guests enjoying their drinks. We opted for the recommended Chef's Course priced at 5,500 yen per person, which included a variety of dishes and sake pairings. The menu featured dishes like Toba algae and Nanohana, sashimi of various fishes, and unique delicacies like Bora sashimi and Gimbuna fish ball soup. The sake selection was extensive, with options like Ise white sake, Shinomine Junmai Ginjo, and Otokoyama Junmai Ginjo. The service was impeccable, with the staff guiding us through each dish and sake pairing. We even had the opportunity to wash our sake cups with water poured into a Suzu-shaped vessel before moving on to the next drink. The highlight of the meal was the Bora sashimi and Gimbuna fish ball soup, which brought back memories of childhood fishing adventures. The experience was truly exceptional, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique sake and dining experience in Osaka.

In February 2021, I visited "Ajisake Kamunabi" with a friend. We were intrigued by the variety of delicious Japanese sake available, and finally had the chance to visit. We made a reservation for 5:30 pm and sat at the counter. We started with a toast with Japanese sake. Here is what we had for sake and food this time: - Omakase course: 5,500 yen (including tax and service charge) - Various dishes including salted beans, sashimi, oysters, black bean natto mochi, vinegared dish, soup with ginbuna fish balls, turnip sushi, dessert, and more - Before the meal, we had Ise's white sake, Shinmine Junmai Ginjo Yamadanishiki, Takaraken Junmai Ginjo, Ouroku limited Junmai Ginjo, Kamikawa Taisetsu dry Junmai Ginjo, Okunoto Shirokiku Junmai made from naturally cultivated rice - Additional order: Inaniwa udon with spicy daikon radish, cold, 2 servings for 800 yen each (excluding tax) The sake we had this time, especially the "Minshuku Toono Nodoburoku" that my friend ordered, was really good. Among the dishes, the sashimi of bora fish, natto mochi, and ginbuna fish ball soup were outstanding. The delicious appetizers made the sake go down smoothly. There were also many types of sake that we had never tried before, so we were very satisfied. The atmosphere was also very nice, so I will definitely go again with my sake-loving friend. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Kamunabi is a creative Japanese sake cuisine restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Tanimachi Rokuchome in a northeast alley. They offer a wide selection of sake ranging from fresh to aged for many years, paired with elaborate dishes. The combination of sake and food is truly impressive, with unique and surprising sake varieties that you won't find elsewhere. The ingredients used for the dishes are carefully selected, some even aged, enhancing the enjoyment of sake. This is a remarkable place where you can enjoy such a wide range of sake and perfectly paired dishes, unlike any other. Visited in December 2019, I went to Kamunabi for a year-end party with a friend who loves Japanese sake izakayas. It had been about 7 years since my last visit. The restaurant is located in a stylish area with traditional houses, creating a calm and Japanese atmosphere. They offer a set course menu priced at 6000 yen, which includes 6-7 dishes and the option to choose 3 sake pairings. The dishes were beautifully presented and included a variety of ingredients such as salted beans, fresh fish, and seafood rice. The sake selection was extensive, and we enjoyed comparing different types, including unfiltered sake and aged sake. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I highly recommend Kamunabi for anyone looking to explore the world of Japanese sake and cuisine.

It's a counter-style Japanese restaurant located between Tanimachi Yonchome and Tanimachi Rokuchome stations, near Osaka Medical Center and across from Doza Park. The quiet neighborhood with a few shops creates a mysterious atmosphere. Inside, there are table seats and a long counter, creating a pleasant atmosphere for enjoying delicious food and drinks. The menu is extensive and creatively crafted, making it enjoyable to choose from the variety of dishes. The restaurant is known for its delicious food and drinks, and the sake recommended by the proprietress perfectly complemented the meal. It was a great dining experience, and I look forward to visiting again with my Osaka friends.

Today, I visited Kamunabi. I thought I had been there before, but it was actually my first time. I was the first one there because it was still early. It was quiet and relaxing, and the experience was very good. There were a total of 9 dishes, starting with a small appetizer and ending with Inaniwa udon. The first 6 dishes were prefixed, and the last 3 were my choice. Each dish was perfect for enjoying sake. I couldn't help but drink a lot of sake. It was so delicious. Thank you very much. I will definitely visit again.
