Hello. I'm Keinsuke. Today, I would like to introduce a cafe called "Soredoko" in Osaka Juso.
- Atmosphere of the place -
The first floor is a cake shop that opened in February, and the cafe space on the second floor opened in April 2022. The seating is limited, creating an intimate space with slightly dim lighting even during the day, which adds to the atmosphere. The place is filled with greenery and has a well-designed ambiance with plenty of plants hanging overhead. The central counter seats make it easy for solo visitors, and there are also table seats for two people. The menu includes sweets and food, with the open sandwich being a popular choice. You can also choose cakes from the first-floor cake shop. The drink menu offers coffee, tea, and a decent selection of alcoholic beverages, making it a great place to relax with sweets and drinks.
- Food -
- Strawberry Mille-feuille (1000 yen)
Served on a large plate, this tall mille-feuille with fresh strawberries and sweet cream has a great texture and taste. However, I always end up making a mess while trying to eat mille-feuille properly.
- Four Fruit Open Sandwich (1780 yen)
Ordered by a companion, this signature open sandwich is loaded with a variety of fruits, making it visually appealing. Served on Danish bread, it provides a satisfying eating experience.
Despite the nice atmosphere, there weren't many customers when I visited. Perhaps not many people in Juso go to cafes? It's a hidden gem where you can relax, so be sure to check it out. Thank you for the meal.

Hankyu "Juso" station is located right outside the west exit. The first floor is a cake shop, and the second floor is a cafe. To access the cafe, you need to take the outside stairs. You can enjoy the items purchased on the first floor at the cafe as well. The first floor is very small and can only accommodate up to three people at a time. They sell a variety of items such as fresh cakes, cream puffs, and gift cookies, perfect for presents.

I couldn't find the shaved ice shops I was looking for, so I stumbled upon a cafe in a quaint alley. Despite the menu being different from what I saw on Instagram, I decided to try the "Whole Shimizu White Peach Shaved Ice" and "Strawberry Daifuku." The peach and ice cream were delicious, but the ice was too crunchy, reminding me of street vendor ice. The service was lacking in friendliness, and I felt a sense of unease compared to the Instagram vibe. I left with doubts about the quality of customer service. I may not return unless improvements are made and other options are unavailable.

Currently, we are at the second stop of our food and drink tour with Bancho, Sukeban Tsukamoto, and Jusan. We received permission from the irresistible staff at the restaurant "Basuchii" to take photos! We were torn between various photogenic cream puffs, but we were captivated by the Basque cheesecake and decided to go with "Basuchii." We are currently enjoying it at a karaoke place. It is incredibly rich, creamy, and slightly bittersweet on top - absolutely delicious! We are now listening to Bancho sing while Sukeban is getting excited. Next, Bancho will sing "Boy" by "Miss Mystery Lady." Bancho is surprisingly good at mimicking Southern and TUBE for some reason. Sukeban will sing "Boy" by "Honky Tonk Crazy" and "Ziggy" by "Gloria." Once we finish karaoke, Bancho and Sukeban will be hitting up another bar again!

In a stylish cafe located in a downtown drinking district in Osaka, enjoy a luxurious strawberry parfait at SOLE de conon (@cafe_bar_soledeco). The extravagant strawberry parfait (1580 yen) is a must-try. Just a 2-minute walk from Hankyu Juso Station's west exit, this chic cafe and bar is tucked away in an area known for its izakayas. While Juso is often associated with a traditional drinking scene, it is also a hidden gem for trendy cafes like this one. The first floor is a cake shop, while the second floor houses the cafe and bar. Upon opening the wooden door and climbing the stairs, you'll find a small cafe with 6 counter seats and 1 two-person table. The display is lovely, making it a great spot for stylish photos. You can enjoy seasonal fruit parfaits, crepes, and cakes from the first floor. I opted for the seasonal strawberry parfait! It was beautifully dusted with powdered sugar, looking absolutely adorable and delicious. The strawberries had a slight tartness, which paired well with the vanilla ice cream. Not only were there strawberries on the outside, but plenty inside as well. The crunchy cookies added a nice texture to the parfait. I had the place to myself during my visit, allowing for a relaxing time.

I visited around 3:00 pm on a holiday. There were 2 groups ahead of me, so I waited for about 5 minutes. The shop is small, so only one group can enter at a time. They offer Amaou tart for 700 yen, Earl Grey for 600 yen, and Choco-ta for 580 yen. They accept credit cards but not PayPay. I chose the Choco-ta, which had chocolate cream and a thin layer of chocolate on top. Inside the tart, there was a sour sauce that tasted like blackcurrant. The appearance was cute, but the taste was just average.

The appearance is cute, but honestly, the cake itself was not delicious. The strawberries were sour (which is inevitable for fruits...) and the tart crust was too thick and chewy. As for the cheesecake, it really didn't suit my taste and I couldn't finish it. The cakes were quite pricey, so it was disappointing.

I purchased three delicious cakes, each priced between 600 yen and 800 yen. They all have their own unique flavors, but I particularly enjoyed the square apple chiffon cake with mousse. It goes really well with caramel. The chocolate cake was also great, with a rich filling that made it seem small but actually quite filling.

I stopped by this small and cute cake shop at the very end of my trip. The display case was filled with a variety of colorful and expressive cakes. I asked the staff a few questions and ended up buying Earl Grey (600 yen), Choco56 (600 yen), Chestnut (700 yen), and Shortcake (590 yen). The combination of flavors created a light and delicious taste that varied depending on where you ate it, but it always complemented the atmosphere perfectly. The recommended Chestnut Mont Blanc was truly delicious!

I heard that there is a cafe in the charming drinking district of Juso where you can enjoy stylish sweets, so I went to "sole de conon." This two-story shop suddenly appears among the lined up drinking establishments. The first floor is a cake shop, and the second floor serves as a cafe during the day and a bar at night. You can purchase a cake on the first floor and enjoy it on the second floor. However, the highlight is not the cakes but the parfaits and fruit-topped toast. This time, I ordered a parfait! It probably varies depending on the season, but this time it was made with Shine Muscat grapes. The most impressive thing is its appearance, which is perfect for photos! It was a great day to discover that Juso is not just about drinking establishments.

Each cake was carefully crafted and delicious. The lemon flavor was more tangy than I expected. I was quite indecisive when making my purchase, but the staff kindly helped me choose based on factors like lightness, taste, and ease of eating after a meal. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Located just outside the west exit of Hankyu Juso Station, there is a sweets shop that opened last February in the Shonben Yokocho area. On top of that, a cafe has been added, so I decided to check it out. The cafe is called Soledeconon, and it is located on the second floor accessed through a narrow door next to the shop. The interior has a counter and one table that seats up to 8 people, creating a cozy atmosphere. They offer cakes that are also sold downstairs, but they have cafe-exclusive menu items and alcoholic beverages, so you can enjoy until 10 pm.
I ordered the Peach and Milk Rare Cheesecake Toast along with an iced tea, totaling 1,730 yen. The order is made fresh upon receiving it, so it may take a bit of time, but it's worth the wait. The Danish toast was nicely toasted and crispy. The rare cheesecake sauce was refreshing and not too sweet, with plenty of sliced peaches on top. The peaches were slightly firm, but it didn't bother me. The combination of the cold ice cream with the warm toast made for a delightful dessert.
It's amazing to think that you can enjoy such stylish food in Juso. While it is known for its bars, there has been an increase in trendy cafes lately, which is great to see. I heard that they also have freshly baked Financier cakes available from 3 pm, so I will definitely be back to try them. Thank you for the delicious meal, Soledeconon!

I went up the stairs next to the store and used the cafe on the second floor. The interior is decorated with green potted plants and stylish lighting, creating a nice atmosphere. I sat at the counter and looked at the menu:
- Caramel Honey Toast 880 yen
- Orange Sunny Parfait 1,280 yen
- Orange Jet Toast 1,480 yen
- Luxurious Truffle Croque Monsieur 1,280 yen
- Sole Fish Cutlet Sandwich with Salad 1,000 yen
- Salted Shrimp Cutlet Sandwich with Salad 880 yen
The highly praised cakes can be seen displayed on the first floor cake shop. It might be the system to order on the first floor and then go up to the second floor. Drinks range from 450 yen, including coffee, tea, and juice. I ordered the Orange Sunny Parfait. It looks luxurious and delicious. The main orange is sweet, fresh, and refreshing. The cream and crispy crunch add more flavor. This is the best sweet I have ever had. There doesn't seem to be an age limit, so I will confidently come back for more sweets next time. Additionally, the staff at the store are all cute and kind, laughing at even dad jokes.

Teiban - ¥600
Gorugon - ¥500
✨Cafe Latte - ¥500
✨Caramel Latte - ¥500
A cafe that opened in Juso ☕️ There is an eat-in space on the 2nd floor! It seems like it opened in April this year. Anyway, the small cakes are super cute, with adorable names. The strawberry shortcake at Teiban is hilarious, using chopsticks to eat it! Gorugon has honey sticking out, haha. The cheese and honey match so well and are incredibly delicious. You can easily eat two by yourself, haha. I only ordered one at the time, but I slightly regret not getting another one. It's near Juso Station, but can you believe there's such a trendy cafe in a place like this? The eat-in space isn't very large, so be sure to go early! ☺️

■I went to a cake shop located in a drinking district that has started offering super trendy sweets! You can enjoy the cakes sold on the first floor of the café in-store. The main seating is at the counter, with wine glasses hanging down, giving off a chic bar-like atmosphere.
■4 types of Fruit Open Sandwich - 1,780 yen (tax included)
■Earl Grey - 450 yen (tax included)
The fruits are all juicy and go well with the sweetness of condensed milk. The Danish bread is moist and thickly sliced, providing a satisfying bite. It's cut into four pieces for easy eating. There's quite a lot, so it's best to go on an empty stomach!

I revisited the cafe that recently opened and I want to come back again. It has a different vibe from the ones in Juso, but the truffle-flavored sandwich is amazing. I plan to try the fruit sandwich next time. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I found this shop on Instagram and was interested in it. It is located right outside the west exit of Juso Station. Among the yakiniku and izakaya restaurants, there is a cute and stylish shop. As you enter the shop, you can smell the delicious scent of baked goods. The shop is so small that only one person can fit inside. The second floor is a cafe where you can also eat in. The daily tart costs 680 yen, while the pisutie costs 590 yen. The daily tart has chocolate cream on top of oranges. I personally like tart crusts that are firm, but the ones at this shop were not that hard. The cakes were small for the price, and the fruits were average. I love sweet things, but I found the sponge to be too sweet for my liking. The atmosphere of the shop is nice, so I would like to try a different cake next time.

The shop is called "Soredoko" which is short for "Where is this place?" On the first floor, they sell cakes. If you want to eat in, you order drinks, pay at the counter, and take your cake to the second floor yourself. The cakes are all charming. The prices are not small, but the cakes are plentiful and reliable. I want to try the shortcake, but I'm curious about the cheesecake that looks like it came out of Tom and Jerry. Alright, I'll have two! The shortcake costs 600 yen, and the "Gorugon" costs 500 yen. The drink is 350 yen for iced tea. After ordering and paying, you take your items to the second floor. The shortcake was a bit dry, but the strawberries were delicious. The "Gorugon" had honey inside, which was a nice touch! The idea was very interesting. On the way home, I also bought some salt financiers for my foodie friends I was meeting the next day. I enjoyed the hot financiers. The salt flavor was intriguing.

On a regular day, just past 3:00 PM. It was empty at first, but quickly filled up.
A new cake shop at Juso Station. A small and cute shop.
1st floor for takeout, 2nd floor for eating in, both with limited space.
No elevator, narrow and steep stairs.
2nd floor has around 10 seats - counter seating, a few tables for 2, and one single seat.
Tall chairs and tables, no space for bags, not very spacious.
Order on the 1st floor and go up to the 2nd floor. Semi-self-service style.
A wide variety of cakes, but limited drink options. Cakes seem to be the main focus.
- Fureje 550: Strawberry and mousse terrine cake. Light texture, cute appearance, the jelly on top is quite sweet.
- Gorugon 500: Gorgonzola and cream cheese mousse. Cookie base, light mousse, very low sweetness, the gorgonzola flavor is not overpowering.
- Finanche: Delicious. Freshly baked, small size, crispy on the outside, not too sweet.
- Coffee: Paper cup. The cake wasn't really to my taste. Maybe the balance was off? Next time, I'll go for Finanche.
The staff is very polite and hardworking, but they seemed to be struggling with things like missing coffee stirrers and milk being out of stock. They seemed to be understaffed and overwhelmed. Hang in there!
Thank you for the meal.

Hankyu Juso Station West Exit, there is a Shonben Yokocho, and one day while walking, I saw a sign saying a sweets shop was opening. I couldn't go on the opening day, but I finally visited Soledeconon. It's true! It's located on the second floor, and it seems there is a cafe where you can also eat in. It's great because there are not many cafes around here. The takeout area is small, only for 1 or 2 people at a time. The showcase displays various cakes. On this day, there was a special limited item for Hina Matsuri (March 3rd), so I ordered that along with a few other items for dessert time. The Basque Cheesecake was my favorite, with a crispy and dark surface and a creamy inside. The Strawberry Milk Crepe was layered differently, not the typical single-layered style, and had a nice balance of milkiness. The Strawberry dessert was not too heavy, with a good balance of sweetness. I'm happy that a cake shop with a cafe has opened in Juso! I also want to try the freshly baked financiers next time. Good job Soledeconon!
