nishimasa
A shop located a little off Yotsuhashi-suji. It's situated on a corner lot with glass windows, so warm light spills out onto the street, creating a nice atmosphere from the outside. Inside, there is a sense of openness, making it a casual and welcoming place to visit. When looking at the wine list, they offer a variety of options including daily red and white wines by the glass starting from around 700 yen, and bottles ranging from around 3,000 yen to 80,000 yen for a prestigious label like Chateau d'Yquem. The daily wines can be flexible if the bottle hasn't been opened yet, so it's worth going early and asking for a recommendation based on your preference. The food menu includes appetizers, pasta, thin-crust pizzas, and main meat dishes, providing a satisfying dining experience. Prices start from around 600 yen, making it suitable for different budgets. On this occasion, we enjoyed a platter of appetizers, burdock and bacon quiche, cheese platter, and around 6 glasses of wine, costing around 8,000 yen. The quiche was freshly baked with a crispy pastry and the earthy flavor of burdock, complementing the wine nicely. When dining alone, the staff engaged in conversation, but gave space when with company, striking a perfect balance. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable dining experience.
