Akuya... undoubtedly a representative tourist spot in Itoshima. Personally, I love "Akuya no Omon" and often come here alone to admire the view or to guide visitors from afar. On this day, the weather was so nice that I decided to drive to Akuya. The summer crowds at the beach were gone, and the coastline was quiet. After walking around the beach, I climbed Mt. Tateishi and worked up a sweat. It was so refreshing. Even in a short amount of time, you can enjoy yourself. And to top it off, seafood bowl! Whenever I come to Akuya, I crave a seafood bowl. This day, I aimed for "Asahiya" - a well-known traditional inn in Akuya. When I was younger, I came here on a drive through Itoshima and was deeply moved by the luxurious seafood bowl I had, which made me fall even more in love with Itoshima. I prefer the road that goes around from the Omon rather than coming from the beach parking lot. I grinned at the "open" sign. Since I arrived at an odd time, I asked, "Do you have seafood bowls?" and the cheerful lady said, "Yes, please come in." I enjoyed a cup of tea while waiting. This atmosphere is just so lovely. In the middle of the counter, there were abalones and sea urchins swimming in the tank, and the presentation was beautiful. The seafood bowl that was served was visually stunning, overflowing with freshness. I took a bite of the sashimi on the edge of the bowl, dipped in soy sauce. Wow, delicious! I don't care about the freshness of the fish, it's just so delicious. It's nice to eat the seafood bowl elegantly, but after enjoying the targeted fish, the chewiness of the turban shell, the softness of the sea urchin, it's fun to mix it with soy sauce and eat it heartily. I can't show you the sight, but it was incredibly delicious. The rice was also delicious. I was having a blissful time with the seafood bowl when the lady brought a plate from the back and said, "This is a seasonal special." Surprise! Grilled turban shell! Apparently, they include it as a service only in winter when the oyster hut is open. Oh, what a surprise! This is so delicious! I quickly devoured the hot turban shell. It's really delicious. The seafood bowl comes with seaweed salad, chawanmushi, miso soup, pickles, and dessert. Each one was delicious, making me happy. After savoring it, I had the dessert, fruits. It's good for resetting your palate. It calmed my excitement a bit (laughs). Thank you for the meal. Oh, it was delicious. I bid farewell to the cool old master and left the restaurant. That seafood bowl is truly a masterpiece... I thought as I walked along the boat dock in Akuya to the parking lot. Itoshima is really a nice place♪
