Sushi restaurant located in a lively area of Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Initially, it did not appear in the search for "sushi" on Tabelog, and when I was exploring sushi restaurants in Iizuka City and the surrounding area, I did not know of its existence. When I expanded the search word to "lunch," it was registered under "other." The reviews were from a while ago, so I decided to call to confirm if they were still open. I found out that the phone was working, so I searched for the restaurant on site. I went to "Tomizushi" restaurant. The signboard in front of the store had the words "We're open," which was unique (laughs). There was also a board displaying lunch prices. When I entered the store, there were no other customers, and I was seated at the counter. It seemed that the husband and wife were running the business together. I was shown the menu and ordered the "Jou nigiri lunch (1500 yen)." The husband started preparing the sushi, and then two more customers arrived, who also ordered the same thing as me. He quickly made the sushi and lined them up on the sushi geta. After a short wait, it was served with tempura and soup. The assortment included sea bream, salmon, flounder, greater amberjack, tilefish, egg, sea urchin, cucumber roll, and a lot of white fish. All the white fish were delicious. And above all, the vinegared rice was excellent. From my seat, I could see the husband's hands clearly, and he was making the sushi with great care, making the rice airy and fluffy. The tempura consisted of two types of fish, pumpkin, eggplant, and green pepper. One of the white fish, I couldn't quite identify, but the other white fish was plump and incredibly delicious. I wanted to have two more of those. Oh, I also ordered an additional two pieces of flounder, which was the most delicious. The menu listed "Flounder 400 yen," and since it seemed like they were served in pairs, I didn't feel out of place asking for two more. But when I got the bill, it was cheap? When I asked, I found out that the menu price was for two pieces, which was even cheaper! As I don't need to say, the taste of fish varies depending on how it is handled and prepared. In my personal opinion, white fish, with its minimal fishiness, shows the skill of the chef more clearly. A restaurant with delicious white fish is a place where attention to detail equals overall deliciousness. (^-^) Thank you for the meal. My happiness was found here. Keep up the good work, local sushi restaurants.
