There were a lot of tourists and inbound travelers in Dotonbori, where different languages were being spoken. I wanted to try crab and blowfish, so I made a reservation at a restaurant that caught my attention. Although the reservation was fully booked on the food review site, I was able to make a reservation over the phone. I called twice to confirm the reservation date and menu, but both times I spoke with non-Japanese speakers, and it made me a little nervous until the day of the reservation. The staff on the day of the reservation were also mostly foreigners, with about half being Japanese. The place was very busy and bustling. On that day, I ordered the following: - Premium snow crab and blowfish course - All-you-can-drink for 2000 yen The course included: - Crab sashimi with egg yolk and crab miso sauce, which was delicious - Snow crab grilled on a ceramic plate - Blowfish sashimi - Snow crab shabu-shabu - Blowfish hot pot - Rice porridge - Dessert (ice cream) Before grilling the snow crab, they showed it to me for a photo, and the way they grilled it was perfect. The crab miso was slightly undercooked, but when I grilled it a bit more, it was even better and went well with the alcohol. The blowfish sashimi was a bit thin, but considering the price, it was understandable. The snow crab shabu-shabu was easy to eat with just the legs and tasted deliciously sweet. The blowfish in the hot pot was still moving a bit! The total price for this course was 11,550 yen, which I thought was quite reasonable. There were various seating options available, but I chose a seat overlooking Dotonbori. For drinks, I had beer, fresh lemon sour, crab sake, and fin sake. I drank quite a few glasses of fin sake, which was a bit expensive. It was perhaps the first time I had drunk so much of it. Overall, it was a great meal!
