I went to "Thai Food Stall_999" located in Ohatsu Tenjin Ura-dori♪ It's a cozy stall that makes you feel like you're in Thailand, serving dishes like grilled pork and Thai street food Kaomangai! The second party was held at a slightly challenging place with insects and frogs present. Each table had a screaming chicken which, when pressed, would result in a tequila order. The drinks were reasonably priced, although some felt they were a bit weak.

I really wanted to eat coriander, so I searched for it and found it!! I immediately made a reservation because I absolutely wanted to go there!! From the entrance of the restaurant, I felt like I was already there. The food was delicious, and there were so many menu options that I couldn't decide (lol). I loved the atmosphere so much! The Khao Man Gai, Pad Kaprao... everything was really delicious ♡ It was a fun feast.

This is my second visit. I came back again because my first visit was really good! The Pad Krapow was just the right level of spiciness for me! (The person I came with found it too spicy) The Pad Krapow in the photo was actually a mistake in our order, so we had to add rice later. It's lively here, but the seating arrangement is comfortable. I will definitely come back again.

This shop offers authentic street food at a reasonable price. Everything I tried was delicious! However, I wonder if they adjust the spiciness to suit Japanese tastes. Personally, I would be happier if it were even spicier, but I was still very satisfied this day! I love the fresh spring rolls here ❤️ And the beer went down a treat too!

A sunny Golden Week. There was no way we could stay home, so my wife and I decided to go to Otsu. It's about a 10-minute walk from Otsu Station to Lake Biwa. We sat on a bench together, enjoying the pleasant breeze blowing from the lake, which was very soothing. We had planned to eat dinner in Otsu before heading back, but every place we checked was either closed or fully booked. "We should be able to find something in Otsu without a reservation," I thought foolishly. Never underestimate Otsu. In the end, we returned to Umeda and ended up going to "Thai Yatai 999," recommended by my wife. Luckily, they had a table available even with a last-minute reservation. It had been a while since we visited the Tenjin area, and it was quite crowded, especially with younger people. We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by a friendly staff member. We started with Singha beer on tap and Tropical beer (mango) for a toast! It's rare to find Singha beer on tap! We quickly ordered some items that caught our eye on the menu. Shrimp spring rolls (680 yen) were delicious, but the shrimp flavor was a bit subtle. Frog tempura (480 yen) was a whole frog deep-fried without the skin. It might be a bit unsettling for those who are squeamish about such things! The taste of frog is almost like chicken. It was a bit dry, possibly over-fried. Miyako Island green papaya salad (680 yen) was made with unripe papaya and had a crunchy texture. We also ordered bottled beer and continued to enjoy our meal! Dried pork nuggets (580 yen) had a unique texture and a rich flavor that went well with beer. Curry powder stir-fried crab (780 yen) was soft-shell crab stir-fried with curry powder, a great beer snack. Grilled Gaaiyan (780 yen) was bigger than expected, and my wife only had a few bites before feeling full. I finished the rest as it was delicious and moist. The popular Gapao rice (780 yen) was the dish my wife insisted on having from the start, and it was delicious, but we were both stuffed by the end. The female staff on the floor were very pleasant, and thanks to her, we had a very enjoyable dining experience. A big "thank you" to her! Thank you for the meal.

We used it for our second party. It was relatively empty and had a nice street food atmosphere. I had a Singha beer and ate fresh spring rolls, which was satisfying enough. I was too full to eat much more, but there were plenty of other menu items I wanted to try. It's a great place to stop by and experience a bit of a foreign atmosphere.

When I arrived at the restaurant at 10 pm on a holiday, it was almost full. There was only one seat available, so I was able to sit down right away. I ordered a beer as my drink, and as we toasted, I noticed a chicken toy and made a noise with it, which led to a shot of tequila. It had been a while since I had a tequila shot, and as I drank it, I reminisced with my friend about how we used to make noise with it back in our student days. We also tried frog meat, which had a lighter taste compared to chicken breast, but wasn't very delicious.

Last month, I found a restaurant in Umeda, Osaka that I had visited in Shinbashi, Tokyo. This place also gives off the vibe of drinking at a Thai street stall. However, when I tried to order a coriander sour, they were unexpectedly out of coriander...so sad. This time, I ordered frog tempura. It was light and delicious, just like chicken.

I visited this place once before, but I was too full to eat anything, so I decided to revisit on a day when I was exploring the back streets. I made sure to include this restaurant in my list of places to visit and made a reservation. When I came last time, there weren't many people, but this time it was bustling, so making a reservation was the right choice. The interior with Thai street-style lanterns was nice. The smell of various foreign seasonings filled the air. The potato salad served as a complimentary dish already had an authentic foreign taste! It was fun to eat. The presentation of the coriander cold tofu was amazing. I don't particularly love coriander, but there is something addictive about it, and now I feel like I'm lacking coriander. I got hooked on coriander and spicy flavors. I usually eat a lot of Japanese cuisine like kaiseki and dashi, so it's nice to have something different once in a while.

It was cheap and delicious. It was my first time trying Thai street food. I was surprised by how different Thai cuisine is from Japanese cuisine. Even though I've never been to Thailand, I felt like I was there. The staff were all Japanese, but the food was pretty good Thai cuisine catered to Japanese tastes. The staff were also very friendly. There were a lot of items on the menu.

At the back of Ohatsu Tenjin Shrine, there is a restaurant called "Thai Food Stall 999 Umeda Store". The first floor is a popular Chinese restaurant, and the second floor is decorated with colorful exterior and red lanterns that draw you in. The inside of the restaurant is also colorful and fun, making you feel happy just by being there. Today, we had a toast with Thai beer at our second stop. The dishes we tried were Thai-style potato salad, papaya salad, and gapao rice. While I prefer the authentic taste of the Thai food made by RYUTERHUA in Shinsaibashi, I also love the atmosphere of this restaurant. There is a chicken toy hanging from the ceiling that makes a sound when you press its belly. If you can't resist pressing it, you'll be forced to order a shot of tequila. The staff, all women, are friendly and provide great service. Good customer service is important after all. I learned that there is a difference between Thai street food and Thai cuisine, just like the difference between men and women. It was a fun experience to enjoy drinks in a lively atmosphere that resembles a street stall. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Our company members visited the restaurant and thanks to the research done beforehand, we were able to enjoy our time there. Although I have never been to Thailand, I imagine the atmosphere with stainless steel tables reflecting neon signs, various spices and fish sauce creating a unique smell, ice-filled buckets of thin beer, and the attentive service of the staff. The evaluation may vary depending on one's preference for cilantro, but I recommend visiting at least once to try it out. Everything we tried was delicious!

I visited Tenjin-dori for the first time at a networking event with business partners. The street has changed a lot, with many new shops around. I tried various dishes and although I wouldn't say they were authentic, they were delicious. The staff were friendly and pleasant. It seems to attract a lot of young customers, and has a vibe that would appeal to women. Thank you for the meal.

Visited the Thai restaurant "Thai Yatai 999" located in the back streets of Umeda, Osaka. The interior of the restaurant gives off a feeling of being in Thailand. They serve Singha draft beer, which is rare in Japan. Ordered Gai Yang, Pad Thai, stir-fried water spinach, and Khao Man Gai. It brought back nostalgic memories of my past trips to Thailand. The Pad Thai was the most delicious. The stir-fried water spinach had a strong garlic flavor and was delicious. The Gai Yang was smoked, so it had a slightly different taste from the authentic version, which was a bit disappointing. The staff were attentive and considerate, with the female staff in particular being friendly and caring despite being busy. #ThaiYatai999 #ThaiFood #LoveThaiFood #WantToConnectWithPeopleWhoLoveThaiFood #GaiYang #PadThai #KhaoManGai #StirFriedWaterSpinach #OsakaGourmet #OsakaThaiFood #UmedaGourmet #UmedaThaiFood #BackStreetsOfUmeda #SinghaBeer #ChangBeer #Tanalog

I was looking for a restaurant in Osaka near 10 pm, and after being turned down by a few places due to Golden Week, I contacted this restaurant. They don't take reservations, but I decided to visit anyway and managed to get in just in time. The place is located in a back alley near Higashi-Umeda Station, with tables set up on both sides of the alley, making it feel like a night market in Taiwan. The restaurant is on the second floor of the building, with a Thai street stall atmosphere inside. I ordered Tom Yum Goong, Khao Man Gai, Pad Thai, Shrimp Curry Stir-fry, and Fried Bananas. The Tom Yum Goong was incredibly delicious. It had simple ingredients like shrimp and coriander, but the soup was rich and deep. It's a bit noisy, but it adds to the Thai vibe.

Thai Street Food 999 Umeda Store is a Thai restaurant located in Higashi Umeda. It is situated on the 2nd floor, up a narrow staircase after passing through a small alley. The restaurant recreates the atmosphere of a Thai street food stall or street scene. The clientele seems to be mostly younger people, and the upbeat BGM adds to the fun atmosphere. There are toy ducks hanging on the walls, and ringing them makes a Tequila sound, which is amusing.
For Instagram followers, there is a special Happy Hour deal where you can get a bucket drink for 9 yen. I opted for a lassi due to driving later. The appetizer was potato salad, probably with coriander, which I'm not a fan of but managed to eat. The Tom Yum fried chicken was crispy. The stir-fried kale from Eguchi Farm had some spicy parts, so be cautious. The steamed spring rolls with shrimp were enjoyed with chili sauce. The stone-pot basil rice was hot and flavorful, making me want more. The green curry was spicy, but I still wanted to eat more. The dry Thai ramen was like a tasty cup ramen, and I can see myself having it as a late-night snack.
Overall, the experience made me feel like I had traveled to Thailand, even though I haven't been there. It made me want to visit Thailand someday.

This is my second visit here. I really appreciate that they can accommodate our group of 13 people. We were seated on a half floor on the second floor with a 4500 yen course that includes all-you-can-drink. It's not that cheap, but it's not easy to find a place that offers all-you-can-drink and can accommodate this many people, so I'm grateful. Just looking at the brightly colored interior makes me miss Thailand.

Wandering around Umeda... suddenly craving Thai food, so I visited #ThaiYatai999. The atmosphere was lively and nice. Kaomangai, fresh spring rolls, morning glory stir-fry, and basil pasta were all delicious. Two men finished everything.

I arrived in search of a satisfying noodle dish. It was past 12 o'clock and luckily the place was not crowded, which made me very happy. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was just like being in Thailand, a country I have visited several times before. I ordered the Tom Yum Ramen (spicy), Pad Thai, Khao Man Gai, and Chrysanthemum tea mixed with soda. The Tom Yum Ramen came with a shrimp and flat rice noodles. It was filled with ingredients like mushrooms and coriander. The menu seemed to be carefully curated with input from someone living in Thailand. The vibrant and glittering interior of the restaurant made me feel like I was on a trip to Thailand. Although my main goal was to have a satisfying meal, I couldn't eat much this time. I would like to try the Green Curry next time, along with a bucket of beer and a large serving of coriander. Thank you for the delicious meal.
