This is a shop I always use. The highlight of this place is the size of the sushi toppings, especially the volume of eel is overwhelming. They also have a lineup of local sake, and I always drink it. My favorite is the sake from Mie Prefecture called "Saku". Sake goes well with sushi, so I recommend this shop.

I went to Sushinokokoro Minami with the aim of finding a reasonably priced lunch menu. Despite feeling a bit discouraged by the line of foreigners before the store opened, I was surprised to be able to enter quickly. The lunch menu starts at 850 yen (tax included), but I opted for the Special Bucchigiri Set Meal for 1500 yen (tax included). You can order individual items using a QR code. The set meal comes with chawanmushi and red miso soup.

Today's lunch was at the original Bucchigiri Sushi Uogokoro Minami branch, part of the Ajibiru Group, located just a minute's walk east of Hozenji Yokocho in Namba Sennichimae. I have been going to this non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant for about 20 years! The sushi pieces are big and you can't fit them in one bite! You can order sushi items individually. It's a place where both my husband, who enjoys drinking alcohol, and I, who enjoy eating, can have a good time! They have been working hard even during the pandemic, and now they are back to being a popular spot with inbound tourists returning. I can't wait to go back again!

It is located about a 3-4 minute walk northwest from Exit 2 of Nipponbashi Station on the Osaka Metro. When you enter the shop, you will be guided to the counter seats. Let's cheers with a Black Nikka Highball. It is self-service, so let's place our orders one by one. The sushi is served in pairs. There are four types of sushi presentation styles: "Tare nigiri" which hangs down like a flowing stream, "Tomo nigiri" which is piled up like a treasure tower, "Kobore nigiri" which overflows like scattered flowers, and "Bucchigiri" which spills out like a torn sleeve. The fatty iwashi (sardine) is layered on top of each other. Tobiko is overflowing in the gunkan-maki style. The maguro (tuna) is piled up in layers with shiso leaves wrapped around the top. The hotate (scallop) is so large that you can't see the rice underneath. It is served with a sweet and savory sauce. The anago (sea eel) covers the rice in a Tomo nigiri style. Enjoy it with a heated sake. The aji (horse mackerel) is cut into large pieces, providing a satisfying bite. It is topped with bonito flakes and fresh green onions. The natto maki has yamaimo (mountain yam) inside, adding a chewy texture. You can enjoy bold and hearty sushi with large ingredients and overflowing toppings. I would like to visit again. I passed through Hasshoji Yokocho and went on an expedition lunch to Sennichimae. The streets of Namba are bustling with inbound tourists returning to Osaka Metro stations and trains. On this day, there were 5 Chinese guests at the table next to me. They seemed to be a family and were having a great time. The lunch menu was extensive and had many tempting options. After much deliberation, I ordered the eel rice bowl set for 1,000 yen. It came with miso soup and chawanmushi. Both were delicious and piping hot. The eel rice bowl had a generous portion, but the temperature was a bit low. The eel was smaller than the one shown in the menu photo, probably from the lower part of the eel. It seems they differentiate based on the price. They have separate rooms for counter seating and table seating, depending on the number of customers. I paid quickly with PayPay. Thank you for the meal.

The best lunch with great cost performance at 850 yen, popular among tourists, and you can enjoy large-sized sushi at night. I visited for lunch and had 10 pieces of sushi with red miso soup for 850 yen, which is a great deal. There were many foreign visitors, so it seems to be popular among inbound tourists. The sushi for lunch was on the smaller side. I have been there for dinner before, and I remember the sushi being larger, so I was a bit disappointed this time. But for 850 yen, you can't ask for more in terms of cost performance if you want to enjoy sushi.

I arrived 10 minutes early to a restaurant that opens at 12:00, but they were already open and half full. By 12:00, it was packed with customers, many of whom were elderly. It seems to be a popular place, with lunch sets ranging from 750 yen. I had the 750 yen set as my second lunch stop, and the sushi was made right in front of me. For the price, it was great value with salad and miso soup included. It may not be high-end sushi, but as casual sushi goes, it was very satisfying. It's easy to see why this place is popular.

I went to "Uogokoro" in Senri Naka and had some delicious food and beer. The Tekkamaki, Shimesaba, Salmon, Geso, Engawa, Toro, and Iwashi were all delicious and the portions were generous. The ingredients were fresh and the meal was satisfying. Overall, it was a great dining experience!

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I visited this restaurant for the first time at night. I usually come for lunch, but the sushi here is huge! Despite the thick slices of fish, it's really worth it! The lunch menu is very cost-effective, so I was worried that the prices might be higher at night. However, when I visited on a Sunday around 7 pm, the size of the sushi, satisfaction, and reasonable prices did not disappoint. They also have yakitori and salad on the menu, in addition to sushi. I ordered chicken skin in between sushi servings. The miso soup had a lot of fish bones in it, but the broth was delicious! The ikura gunkan was overflowing, the texture of the sea bream was amazing, and I loved the yellowtail so much that I ordered 8 pieces. Despite the low number of customers due to COVID-19, I hope they continue to do well! This is my favorite sushi restaurant. I definitely want to visit this place at least once a month.

Fish Heart is the place to go for sushi with big portions! They recently renovated and connected with the neighboring store where you can enjoy delicious yakitori! The sushi here has huge pieces of fish, so big that you can't eat it in one bite! Personally, I prefer simpler options like Tekkamaki and Tai, as I have a small appetite. I visited "Uogokoro Minami" in Nipponbashi, Osaka for lunch for the first time. I arrived a little after 12:00 and there were no customers in the restaurant yet. There were seats at the counter and tables. I ordered the "Hana" set which included 10 pieces of nigiri sushi, salad, and miso soup for 850 yen. The tuna, squid, salmon, flounder, sweet shrimp, whelk, egg, conger eel, yellowtail, and sardine nigiri were all served cold with a strong vinegar taste. The price was reasonable for what you get!

Fish Heart used to frequent the Umeda main store, but this time I had plans in Namba, so I came here! Still delicious! The sashimi is fresh!! I always just order a few of my favorite toppings. Then I order a sashimi assortment and drink bottled beer (^^) It's a nice place where you can relax and the sushi chefs who make the sushi are also impressive. A wonderful restaurant that can be used for entertaining, business meals, or private occasions. I love it.

Saturday afternoon. My eldest daughter invited me to celebrate my birthday a little early, so the two of us came to the restaurant. Since our family is the only one that loves sushi and seafood, we decided to have sushi for the occasion. This restaurant is known for its large seafood toppings. We started with the recommended snow crab, followed by amberjack, yellowtail, tuna, sea bream, tuna tartare, egg, marinated cod roe, flounder, and sardines, among others. The blowfish tempura as a side dish was delicious, and the miso soup with clams was surprisingly large and had plenty of clams, very tasty. Every seafood dish was luxurious and fresh, living up to their reputation of using high-quality ingredients. I thought that these types of restaurants only focused on large portions rather than quality, but I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors. The restaurant was surprisingly empty, likely due to the effects of COVID-19. I hope that people can enjoy the food here, as I did with my daughter. The service from the staff was impeccable, and they made our meal enjoyable. Each seafood dish was so generous in size that we were full by the end of the meal. Thank you for the feast. When I feel like eating eel, I go to this restaurant (lol). The sushi toppings are big, but the rice is a bit small. I think all the sushi menu items can be enjoyed as side dishes with alcohol! Since I always drive, I stick to just eating ☺️ My go-to orders are fatty tuna, chawanmushi, clam soup, and eel! I always order these four items no matter when I go (^_^)/ The other menu items also have big portions, so I am always satisfied (^_^)/ The counter seats have fixed, slightly narrow chairs (^-^;

It had been a while since I visited Osaka, and I decided to meet up with a friend I hadn't seen in about a year and a half for drinks. We usually go drinking in the Fukushima, Umeda, or Temma areas in the Kita district, but this time, since I finished work late, we met up in Minami. Namba and Shinsaibashi have a different atmosphere compared to the Kita area, with a more lively and bustling feel. We arrived at around 9:30 PM on a Sunday and there were no other guests in the restaurant. I guess it's due to the situation with COVID-19. Since it was our second stop, we couldn't order sushi, so we decided to go for a sashimi platter. It included about six types of fish, such as tuna, shrimp, and white fish. Unfortunately, five out of the six types didn't taste fresh and had a dry texture. The color also didn't look good, and I didn't find them delicious. The only exception was the octopus sashimi, which was fresh and had a nice firm texture, and I enjoyed it.

The dishes here are really substantial and satisfying! The thick portions provide a good chew, but they are very filling, making them popular with men. I ordered the eel, which was steaming hot and delicious with a nice texture. The scallops are also popular here. Despite eating quite a bit and having a few drinks, my bill was around ¥4500. The service from the chef was fantastic, and I left feeling very satisfied.

The portions were surprisingly large!! The scallops were delicious! I tried foie gras sushi for the first time and it was too delicious!! I visited a sushi restaurant in Shinsaibashi because I was craving sushi for lunch. I ordered chawanmushi and sushi as usual. I love the chawanmushi at sushi restaurants! The conger eel and tuna had a satisfying texture! I didn't have any salmon roe so I want to go back and eat it again! The overflowing toppings from the rice gave me 100% satisfaction! I highly recommend this sushi restaurant!

I had my first lunch at this place. Although all the lunch options were a good deal, I decided to order the premium lunch for 1500 yen. The sushi rice and toppings were both generous in portion, and I left feeling very satisfied. We ordered two premium lunches and two beers, and the total came to around 4000 yen, which was very reasonable. The staff were energetic and I definitely want to visit this place again.

The toppings are not only big but also fresh, making them very delicious. It has become a familiar restaurant for me.
