Today I went on a business trip to Hakata. For lunch, the other party took me to a udon restaurant. I ordered the vegetable tempura udon. We chatted while waiting for about 15 minutes. The portion was huge. And all this for only 750 yen, amazing! The noodles were more about the texture than firmness, which was great. It was delicious. Hakata has a reputation for being cheap and tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Located an 8-minute walk from Shiratori Station. Customers are coming in one after another along the main street. Purchasing food tickets in advance, self-service water. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is lively. Although it's an udon restaurant, they also serve alcohol! I ordered the shrimp tempura bukkake udon, vegetable tempura, and pork cutlet rice bowl. The noodles are thin and chewy. The vegetable tempura is crispy with a hint of sweetness, very delicious. The pork cutlet is on the lighter side. Next time, I want to try their hot noodles.

I came here for the first time in about a year. My usual choice, the "vegetable tempura udon," had gone up in price to 710 yen. It's understandable given the current situation. I arrived early, so it wasn't too crowded. You can choose between hot and cold udon, but with the heat today, I went with the cold tempura. I had cycled here, and the heat made me drink two glasses of water before the udon arrived. The vegetable tempura udon was served, and as always, it was packed with vegetables - bell peppers, shimeji mushrooms, lotus root, eggplant, shiso leaves, burdock, and carrots. The batter was thick, but each piece was crispy and delicious. My friend always says it's healthy because it's full of vegetables, but I don't think deep-fried food can be considered healthy. However, I love this dish because I get to taste various vegetables all at once. The noodles were clear and smooth, with a nice texture. They're different from Sanuki udon, but I enjoy them. The restaurant quickly filled up, showing its popularity. I'll definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

I went to visit a friend who lives far away, and we were discussing what to eat together. They recommended a udon restaurant, and I was excited to try it out. I finally made it to Daichi no Udon, which I had been curious about for a while. They have a system where you purchase food tickets. Even though I had checked the menu beforehand, I still had a hard time deciding. This time, I had the warm Bukkake Udon with vegetable tempura. The vegetable tempura included shiso leaf, burdock root, lotus root, pumpkin, bell pepper, shimeji mushrooms, and carrot, I believe. The portion was huge! Since they are a Buzen Uradachi-kai shop, the noodles were clear and beautiful. It was really delicious. I would like to try the rice bowl set next time.

I felt like eating udon, so I went to Daichi Udon. I stood in front of the ticket machine and first struggled between cold and hot udon. Then I debated whether to get tempura or a rice bowl. In the end, I ordered the Daichi Set with udon and a mini katsu bowl. It arrived in about 15 minutes and I enjoyed it very much.

I visited Daichi Udon after seeing it on the Fukuoka vs Kitakyushu Udon Ranking TV show the day before. It was a holiday, so even though it was past 2:00, we lined up. My wife had the Kamaage Udon, and I had the Gomoku Udon and a small Gyudon to share. The noodles were thin and chewy, and both the taste and portion size were very satisfying. The Gyudon came with a raw egg on top. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Daichi Udon is definitely a good choice. There is always a long line during lunchtime, so be prepared for that. This Fukuoka Higashi branch seems to be a former Italian restaurant, with olive trees and other plants growing inside, which is unusual for an udon shop. You can choose to have the tempura on a separate plate. The noodles are plentiful, and you will leave feeling satisfied. As always, the food was delicious!

I tried the Vegetable Tendon for 710 yen at the Takadanobaba branch and it was delicious, so I also tried it in Fukuoka. The vegetables were crunchy and not heavy, and it's great that you can eat this at this price. The udon noodles were chewy and smooth, and the cold broth was not too soft. It's perfect for lunch.

Just made it before closing time. This udon restaurant I visit when I go back home offers a choice between round or sliced burdock tempura on their burdock tempura udon. The round one sits on top of the bowl, which can be a bit tricky to eat. The sliced one comes on a separate plate, making it easier to eat, and the batter feels lighter.

In Fukuoka, the Udon prefecture, I indulged in udon noodles. Each shop has its own unique characteristics. At Daichi Udon, the noodles are of normal firmness, with a smooth and chewy texture. This udon restaurant in Fukuoka is very popular, located 520m from Hakata Station (JR). Although the main store is in Nishi-ku, the number of branches has increased over time. I usually eat at the Hakata branch, but this time I went to the Fukuoka Higashi branch for some errands. There was a long line on Sunday lunchtime, but I was able to get in after about 25 minutes. I ordered my usual Niku Gobo Udon with additional meat and yam toppings. Since I hadn't had breakfast, I also got the Katsudon set. The udon was delicious, similar to the one at the Hakata branch. The thin noodles are rare for Hakata udon, but they were tasty. I tried the Katsudon for the first time, but found the flavor a bit bland and the katsu not very delicious, so I left it uneaten. In the future, I will stick to just ordering the udon.

I visited here for the first time in a while around lunchtime, so I was able to get in without waiting in line. Whenever I come to Daichi Udon, I almost always order the vegetable tempura udon, which makes my friends and family laugh at me. But today, because it was cold, I couldn't decide between that and a warm udon with plenty of broth. In the end, I chose the "lots of ingredients" option, which was a new menu item for me. After ordering and waiting for a bit, it was brought to me. Wow, it really does have lots of ingredients - shrimp tempura, burdock tempura, seaweed, fish cake, and fried tofu. All of this for only 530 yen is quite reasonable! I dug in right away. The noodles were firm and had a translucent appearance, different from both Sanuki udon and Hakata udon, which I like. They were thin and easy to eat, and I was happy to see so many ingredients in the bowl. The different textures of the various ingredients - crispy, juicy, bouncy - made the meal enjoyable. I will definitely order this again in the future. I will be back soon, thank you for the meal!

I ordered the large serving of normal tempura udon. You can choose between round tempura or stick tempura. This time, I chose the round tempura. It's a bit difficult to eat, but dipping it in the broth makes it easier. It's tasty, but the tempura is a bit oily since it's like a snack. The udon has received good reviews, and it is indeed delicious. The large serving is just right! Next time, I might try it without tempura.

I usually eat zaru udon with strong noodles, but today it was cold so I ordered warm udon. The meat tempura udon has a big piece of shrimp tempura in the middle, and the tempura itself is large. The tempura and shrimp tempura are very delicious. I was expecting the noodles to be firm like in zaru udon, but they were soft and disappointing. The soup was also bland. I think zaru udon is the most delicious.

I was recommended by a colleague to try Daichi Udon and I was so impressed by the taste that I wanted to go back again. When I happened to be in Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City for work, I searched for a lunch spot on Tabelog and found Daichi Udon in Higashi-ku. It had the same system and taste as the main branch. I visited at 2 pm, so it was not crowded, and the parking lot was spacious, which was convenient. The texture of the tempura udon noodles was outstanding, and it was incredibly delicious.

I wanted to eat vegetable tempura, so I visited this restaurant after a long time. Since the Fukutsu branch, which was easy to access by bus, has been integrated with the Munakata branch, I come to this store more often. I avoid crowds and eat lunch outside. When it's not busy, I can also buy meal tickets leisurely. I always order the same menu, although I sometimes think about trying something different. I can't resist the charm of this place. This is the Fukuoka Higashi branch of a udon restaurant chain with 8 locations in Fukuoka. It is located along the road leading from Higashi Ward to Shika Island via Uminonakamichi. I couldn't do anything summer-like, so I went for a drive to Shika Island before autumn arrived. There is a spacious parking lot. Inside, there is a ticket machine where you first buy a ticket. The restaurant mainly has table seats and has a feeling of being a former restaurant. I had the "Lots of Toppings Udon" for 530 yen, which includes burdock tempura, wakame seaweed, shrimp tempura, fish cake, and fried tofu, so it doesn't get boring. The noodles are the usual chewy and smooth texture. There are yellow chili peppers and yuzu pepper on the table. My companion had the "Meat Udon" for 580 yen. I wish they would try something different if they have already tried it at a chain restaurant before... The prices are a bit hazy in my memory. The restaurant was busy with customers coming one after another. Thank you for the meal.

I like Daichi no Udon the best among the top 3 udon chains in Fukuoka. Well, I actually like tempura more than udon, haha. I had the Niku Kakiage Udon. The tempura is crispy. The noodles are soft. It's surprising that it's quite crowded even on a weekday evening.
