Having a morning café at Doutor. Ten years ago, Tennoji, including Abeno Harukas and Q's Mall, has completely changed its appearance. While the shopping streets around here have remained unchanged, cafes where you can smoke seem to be fading with the times. It's a morning for enjoying an iced café latte.

After exiting the north exit of JR Tennoji Station and heading towards Shitennoji Temple, there is a Doutor coffee shop located right at the entrance of the approach. I visited this place for breakfast and to pass some time before taking the "Kuroshio Limited Express" south from Tennoji Station. The interior of the shop has a cozy layout, with the order counter and a row of single seats facing the wall near the entrance. Further inside, there are counter seats, and at the back, there is a smoking section with a total of 46 seats. I ordered the "Smoked Chicken Potato with Honey Mustard Sauce" breakfast set, which came with an iced coffee (size M: 475 yen). After waiting at the counter for about 3 minutes, the staff quickly served the dish. The sandwich consisted of lightly toasted bread with potato salad and smoked chicken. The smoky flavor of the chicken combined with the creamy potato salad created a rich taste. The honey mustard sauce had a mild yet slightly spicy flavor, perfect for adults. The toasted bread was crispy and had a good texture. The coffee, made from 100% Arabica beans, was smooth with a balanced bitterness, a hint of nuttiness, and sweetness. It had a universal taste that would appeal to everyone. This Doutor coffee shop doesn't have the pretentiousness often seen in Seattle-based chains, making it a relaxing place to visit. It's conveniently located near Tennoji Station, making it a great spot to pass the time while waiting for a train.

Doutor's Hokkaido soft serve ice cream, available only at certain stores, has also started at the Tennoji Doutor location. It's so satisfying to be able to enjoy rich and creamy soft serve ice cream without having to go to Hokkaido. Happiness! ♡

Just 2 minutes north of JR Tennoji Station. It had been over a year since I last visited this chain store. When I showed my T-Card at the register, I was told to get a D-Card. Embarrassing. I didn't realize the accepted cards had changed. I ordered the B Hot Sandwich with 3 cheeses and bacon & egg, along with a hot coffee, all for 398 yen, just under 400 yen. The service was as slow as ever, with drinks given immediately but a wait for the sandwich, and the area around the register was crowded. The cheeses were Gouda, mozzarella, and cheddar, but I couldn't tell the difference. The bacon and scrambled egg were good though.

It is a 2-minute walk from Tennoji Station. The Osaka area is really focused on measures against corona! There are very few shops that are actually doing it! Or rather, most are not! Maybe if they were open on the ground floor, the locals would come flooding in. Even restaurants with shortened hours were closed, and the streets of Tennoji were emptier than I've ever seen them! Come to think of it, Shin-Osaka was also deserted. Even the cafes inside the station were only doing takeout. It was a bit of a hassle to walk to a distant family restaurant, so I thought I might have to settle for a vending machine. But then I found it - Doutor! They were open as usual, with the entrance wide open for good ventilation. When I poured in an iced coffee, it felt like my body was being freed from a slump.

I visited on a Sunday morning. I had a morning meeting at "Ten Shibai" and used this place to wait for the time. Cafes in this area (such as Starbucks) are located inside commercial facilities, so they cannot be used before the opening time of the commercial facility (for example, 10 am). In that respect, this place is convenient as it is open early in the morning. Plus, it has a view of the park, making it convenient for meetings. I had a large cafe latte for 377 yen, enjoyed plenty of coffee slowly, and the spacious and clean restroom was also very good.

During my morning commute, I often stop by the Tennoji Kitaguchi store. I wonder if I can become a Platinum member next since I am currently a Gold member. My go-to menu item every morning is a small cafe latte. I always seem to need to use the restroom around this time, and luckily it was not crowded this time. It seems like many others also have the same routine, as the restroom here tends to get crowded around 8 am. I wish they would separate the restrooms for men and women at least.

There is organic sugar available at other stores, but not at the Tennoji Kitaguchi store. I would like them to start offering organic sugar. I pass by this store on my way to work, so I visit almost every day from Monday to Thursday. Please consider adding organic sugar!

If I can catch the early morning train, I always ride it on my way to work. As a Gold member, I get a 7% point back, so I also go to the Doutor near my office on my days off. Doutor is cheap and the coffee is delicious, right? There are Doutor cafes all over the Osaka area, so it's easy to find. There is also a certain M shop where you can drink coffee for 100 yen, but it's always crowded with students and children, and the chairs are uncomfortable... I'm not a Docomo user and I don't have a Rakuten card, so I don't accumulate any points there. There's no benefit for me at that certain M shop.

This morning, I arrived early as usual, so I went to the Doutor Tennoji Kitaguchi store. I don't like that they don't have organic sugar at the Tennoji Kitaguchi store, even though they have it at the Tsukuno Ito Yokado store. Please put organic sugar at the Tennoji Kitaguchi store too.

I came this morning too! Doutor Tennoji Kitaguchi store! It's still cool in the morning, so I'm still wearing short sleeves inside my hoodie. I ran out of charge, so I used my points today. The post office near my office closes at 5 pm, and the one near my house is open until 7 pm, but it's cutting it close. I might go to the post office on Friday afternoon to withdraw money since I can still use my points until tomorrow.

This morning I came again to Doutor Tennoji Kitaguchi store. It seems like it's going to rain, and it's getting a little cold. But I still got an ice drink. I finally wore a long-sleeved shirt. Until yesterday, I was wearing a short-sleeved shirt with a hoodie, and if it got hot during the day, I would take it off and wear just the short-sleeved shirt. This morning was cold, so I chose a hot latte. I noticed that they no longer have the organic sugar they used to have. I wonder if it wasn't popular enough. I liked its mild sweetness. I hope they bring it back again.
