I tried the Inote Katsudon for the first time. I went for lunch and it was busier than other places, but the wait time was not too long, about 15 minutes. The staff had a very good attitude towards the customers. They greeted us energetically with "Irasshaimase!!" and it left a lasting impression. The rice was delicious, and the egg was subtly sweet with a crispy katsu that was amazing. The flavor was just right, not too light or too strong. Most importantly, it was served piping hot, which was great. I really think this is highly recommended.

You can enjoy a limited menu katsudon offered at the Saga Takeo main store of "Ide Chanpon" here. On this day, I had lunch here in the food court inside Yume Town Iizuka. I ordered the "Blissful Katsudon" with a soft-boiled egg topping. The katsudon came with a wakame seaweed soup as a set. The katsu used was tender, making it easy for the broth to seep in. The broth was on the sweeter side, resulting in a "tsuyudaku" style donburi. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of Yume Town Iizuka. My family of 4 used this restaurant, but first of all, even though they accept PayPay, the staff didn't know how to use it, and it was getting crowded during lunchtime, so we ended up changing to cash. I wish the staff would properly explain how to use the register. Also, we were waiting with a buzzer-style number tag, but they called the wrong number, and with the register issue, we were very disappointed. I ordered the blissful katsudon, which was delicious but seemed a bit small in portion. Because of the previous issues, I don't think I will ever use this restaurant again.

I love katsudon. I arrived early to avoid the crowd right after the restaurant opened and ordered the katsudon with egg for ¥1150 plus a large serving for an additional ¥100. It's a self-service restaurant in a food court, so the service is basic. Personally, I feel a bit uncomfortable in this kind of setting, so my rating reflects that. However, if you're dining with children and looking for a casual meal, you might have a different opinion. As for the katsudon itself, despite being a specialty of the restaurant, I was disappointed that the pork cutlet lacked the rich flavor, juiciness, texture, and chewiness that I expected. If defining a breaded pork cutlet as tonkatsu, then it fits the bill. The sauce was on the thicker side, which I liked, and when mixed with the soft-boiled egg, it provided a smooth and enjoyable eating experience. However, because I didn't find the pork cutlet particularly tasty, I felt that the price was too high.
