After finishing some errands after work today, my girlfriend and I decided to walk towards the main street in Chikaho. It was already past 7:30 in the evening and we hadn't eaten dinner yet. As we were about to go through the ticket gate, we caught a whiff of that familiar good smell. We decided to stop by Hinode Soba! It was a Sunday and the place was unusually empty with only one other customer. We decided to go all out today and ordered the "Tentama Soba (440 yen)" for me and my girlfriend stuck to her usual "Tsukimi Udon (340 yen)". The food arrived in less than a minute, a characteristic speed of standing soba shops. We dug in immediately! The rich broth of the soba was a perfect balance of bonito dashi and soy sauce, incredibly delicious! The aroma of the soba broth that I'm always tempted by, I savored it as if it were the first time. Ah, happiness! I slurped the soba eagerly. The slightly thicker soba noodles here didn't have that stretchy texture typical of standing soba shops, but the texture was enjoyable. The portion also seemed a bit larger than elsewhere. The tempura was pre-cooked so it was soft, but the soft texture was also good. When you dip it in the soba broth and eat it, it's incredibly delicious. Breaking the raw egg over the soba and slurping it together was a blissful moment. My girlfriend's Tsukimi Udon, which she always eats, had the same broth base but the udon was chewy and also delicious. Udon lovers must try it. Of course, not a single drop of broth was left behind! In about 5 minutes, we finished every last bit. When I handed back the empty bowls and cups, I thanked them, saying "Thank you! It was delicious!" and the lovely smile in return, "You ate everything so cleanly, thank you." This place has been operating since before I was born, with a small kitchen where 4-5 people work efficiently with each person having their own role, so even when it's busy, I've never seen customers waiting. When they have a free moment, they chat and laugh, and it's heartwarming to watch. They seem to get along well. I'll definitely come back for this delicious soba and udon, and to be comforted by the staff. Thank you for the meal!

The noodles and soup are delicious, on par with high-level restaurants in Tokyo. The location is in the subway access passage, next to the stairs, so it can be noisy around, but the mothers in the kitchen are very kind and accommodating. There are counter seats and tables a bit further away, and sitting at the counter can feel a bit embarrassing because you are right in front of the mothers.

The day after overeating, I always have lunch at Hino De Soba in Sapporo. I have been coming here for over 10 years and nothing has changed, which makes me happy. I ordered the Tendo Soba (large serving). Despite the high cost of living, it is surprisingly cheap at 570 yen. Everything is delicious, but for some reason, I like the green onions the most. I always end up finishing the soup as well. Thank you for the meal.

The breakfast for the business trip is definitely here. I was healed by the cheerful greetings of the energetic sisters. I had tempura soba in the morning. It doesn't have a lot of tempura ingredients, but I enjoyed soaking it in the soup and eating it. The smell of this soup is amazing. I sprinkled plenty of shichimi pepper and finished it all! This is a great way to reset a hangover. Thank you for the meal!

The zaru soba was sold out, so I had cold ramen instead. It was hot, so I wanted to eat cold noodles. It's not cold Chinese noodles, so it's a vinegar soy sauce base. Despite being a standing meal, it had plenty of toppings. I finished eating in 5 minutes. Satisfied. I wonder if they'll have more cold noodles in the future. Thank you for the meal! 🍜

When I moved to Sapporo, the thing that surprised me the most was the lack of standing soba noodle shops. When I lived in Tokyo, there were standing soba noodle shops everywhere, and I feel like I used to eat there at least once a week. Recently, I saw a photo of Fuji Soba posted by a friend from Tokyo on social media, and I just had to go to a standing soba noodle shop. I walked in the heat to "Hinode Soba." It's located inside the train station, so it's cooler than being outside. I'm so excited to eat standing soba noodles again after a long time that my hands are shaking. August 2, 2023 Tempura soba ¥420.

I found out that Hinode Soba offers cold ramen, so I decided to check it out. Despite coming here for many decades, I had no idea that they served ramen, let alone cold ramen. It was around 5:45 PM, a bit early for dinner perhaps, but I slid into an empty seat. I saw the menu on the wall and noticed that cold ramen was listed as the second item from the top, priced at 480 yen. There were no signs announcing the introduction of cold ramen, so it was like a hidden gem. I quickly ordered the cold ramen. The coordination among the staff behind the counter was impressive, and the dish was served promptly. The soup had a mild acidity, which I liked. The noodles were medium thickness with a smooth texture. The plate included thinly sliced cucumber, shredded omelette, ham, pickled ginger, and spicy mustard, which I enjoyed. Hinode Soba's hidden gem? It was delicious. I was satisfied, thank you for the meal! With this speed of service and the price of the cold ramen, considering the hot days ahead in Sapporo, it seems like a great option to keep in mind.

It's time to end my daytime drinking♪ Today, I had a rare experience of eating while chatting with my mother♪ I don't remember what we talked about, but we had a fun conversation and I returned home with that memory. This rich broth is really delicious♪ Whenever I'm near this subway station, I can't help but stop by this place with a nice aroma. Thank you for the meal♪

It's been a while since I last came here, maybe since my student days. When I pass by on my commute or to school, if I catch a whiff of good broth, I can't help but stop by. It's been a long time since the start of the pandemic, but I still don't mind the cash transactions or chatting with the older lady. From ordering to serving the tempura soba, it only took about 15 seconds haha. I forgot to take a picture. The rich broth hits you hard and tastes delicious. Fast and tasty. Standing and eating soba is really good after all.

I visited Hinode Soba, where I used to go when I worked in Sapporo. I had a kind of brunch for breakfast, and I got so excited about the tempura soba that I forgot to take a picture. Here is just the menu. I enjoyed the rich broth that you can only taste at Hinode Soba, along with the tempura and a touch of spice. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had known about this shop for a long time and would pass by it during my commute, but I was drawn in by the delicious smell of the broth one morning during a business trip. Since it was breakfast time, I ordered a simple wakame soba (370 yen). Since it was a standing soba shop, it was served to me quickly. The soup had a slightly darker color and flavor. The soba noodles were firm and delicious. I think I will end up stopping by for breakfast again during my business trips.

If you go to Sapporo, you must visit this place. Even if you only have 15 minutes, it's enough. Hinode Soba. This shop inside the station emits a pleasant aroma as you walk by. It's a standing soba shop, run by a few friendly older ladies in the kitchen. "Tempura soba, please." I say, and as I look around after placing my belongings, my bowl is already served. The pre-made tempura has soaked up the broth nicely. The broth is slightly sweet and rich. The first bite of the soba mixed with the broth is amazing. It's delicious. The soba noodles are slightly thicker, with an overall rich flavor and the perfect balance of green onions. The oil from the tempura gradually enhances the flavor of the whole dish. It's so delicious...! There's a unique taste here that you can't find anywhere else, and it's really tasty. And all this for just 390 yen. I want to try it in Tokyo too, but this taste is unique to here. That's why I always look forward to my next trip to Sapporo. Thank you for the meal.

There is a standing soba noodle shop near the ticket gate at Odori Subway Station that seems to be quite popular, especially in the morning. The area near the shop is filled with the aroma of bonito flakes. Just like yakitori and unagi restaurants, it seems like they are attracting customers with their smell! The tempura is also homemade and looks delicious. The soba noodles are served in a rich soy sauce broth, creating a nice balance. The soba noodles themselves are pre-boiled and stored, but they still taste great. I am curious about their cold ramen!

I found an empty seat at the counter at 1:15 PM on 06/23, so I squeezed in and ordered the "Tensou". The payment and the arrival of the dish were perfectly timed! The staff, with only four people, worked incredibly fast. By the way, "Tensou" is a type of tempura, specifically kakiage. The difference from other restaurants is the amount of tempura batter used here. It has a satisfying crunch. The broth is also flavorful, making it impossible to pass by this place without stopping. The taste was just as I expected. I will definitely come back. Next time, I might go for the luxurious "Tendama"!

I went there at 12:30 on a regular day. It was crowded and I waited in line to eat. After about 3 minutes of waiting, they called me to the counter. The soup was sour and sweet, reminiscent of rich Tokyo soy sauce. It was delicious. The noodles had no particular texture, but the soup and the oil-covered tempura complemented each other well, creating an exquisite taste. It felt like a rich Edo-style soy sauce ramen. It reminded me of the famous standing soba in Nippori. However, I must say that the service was terrible. You'll understand if you go, but I hope they improve their service level. Thank you for the meal.

At 8:00 in the morning, a group of women who had been drinking the night before were casually eating tempura soba. Sapporo is such a lovely city. It's so cute to see three mothers making soba in a small space in the corner of the underground shopping area, like a KIOSK. The volume and atmosphere of the place really give off a quick breakfast before heading to work vibe. The broth is dark and rich, perfect for hard-working people. It seems like it's a place for salespeople or those who do physical labor. I hope this place continues for over 50 years, maybe even 100 years!

Before the drinking party, I was wondering what to eat for a quick bite, and then I smelled an amazing aroma...♡ It was the nostalgic Hinode Soba shop. I used to go there a lot during my student days. It's wallet-friendly too. Alright, I'll go here after a long time! I ordered the Wakame Soba. In this era of high prices, is this price really okay? It's too attractive... From ordering to serving, it only took 30 seconds... The portion size was satisfying too... The cost-performance is amazing, and the taste is perfect! I was very satisfied! Thank you for the meal♪

Chikuwa, wakame, tempura, tamago, these four combinations were found to have 16 different options when ordering. There was a shortage of eggs, so it was difficult to go after lunch. Towards the end, it was embarrassing to order more. Despite facing various challenges, the kindness and warmth of the elderly ladies, the deliciousness of the soba, and the convenience of standing and eating all made me realize what a great restaurant it is. I hope it continues for many more years. This restaurant, with a history of 52 years, may not have been eaten by everyone, but many may have passed by or smelled the aroma of the broth. It may be difficult to eat alone, but that is not the case at all! When in doubt, just say "kake soba please" and hand it over. After eating, say "gochisousama deshita" and hand over the bowl. That's all you need to do. You won't regret going there!!

If you walk a little towards Susukino from Odori, you will find the entrance to Hino de Soba in the basement of the Hinode Building. Due to the impact of the chicken culling, the "Tentama Soba" was sold out, so I ordered the "Tempura Soba" for 420 yen. It may just look like soba and tempura, but it's really delicious. I live in Tokyo and eat standing soba there every day, and now that I live in Kansai, I'm hooked on Kansai-style Kitsune Udon. However, for some reason, the Hino de Soba in Sapporo is delicious and comforting. It might be the origin of standing soba. It's heartwarming to see two high school students looking hungry and enjoying their kakesoba. I will continue to rely on Hino de Soba when I work in Sapporo in the future!

Cold soba noodles for 320 yen. Today's purpose is to have a bowl before heading to the stage play "Kingdom." Whenever you come here, the place is always packed with customers. The air is filled with the aroma of the food. Since it's a standing eatery, the turnover is fast, so it's not intimidating no matter how many customers there are. The pitch-black broth highlights the appeal of standing and eating.

It's delicious and quick. You can feel the energy and spirit of the older sisters. Today, they were sold out of eggs so I had soba noodles, but it was delicious. Perfect for the end of a second or third round. I recommend the soba noodles over the ramen.
