I don't usually eat okonomiyaki in Osaka, but I was curious because more and more customers were coming in. I ordered the okonomiyaki set meal. It was my first time trying an okonomiyaki set meal. It came with rice, miso soup, tofu, and pickles. In the end, I couldn't finish the rice. I'm sorry. The okonomiyaki was very delicious.

It's been a while since I visited Fujisan, and as expected, the food was delicious. This time, I also tried the grilled squid. I would love to have some beer with my meal next time! I wonder if it's just me, but I always feel like the food tastes even better when I cook it myself on the hot plate.

Near Hankyu Awaji Station, there is an okonomiyaki restaurant in a shopping street with a Showa-era atmosphere, separated by screens. They offer a large portion of pork yakisoba for 1050 yen, and a mix okonomiyaki for 1400 yen. The yakisoba has a slightly thick and chewy texture with traditional seasoning. The mix okonomiyaki includes thick pork belly, octopus, squid, and shrimp. Customers can mix and cook it themselves in the old-fashioned style.

I went to an okonomiyaki restaurant in the Hankyu Awaji Station shopping street that has been around for a long time. I was tempted by the seasonal dishes, but since it was my first time there, I decided to try the okonomiyaki. It's the type where you cook it yourself. It's been a while, maybe over 20 years. It's a semi-private room type which seems easy to cook in. I successfully flipped it over too. Just as I was about to pour the sauce... rice, miso soup, pickles, and tofu were served. It was delicious, just like homemade. The place was bustling with local customers. Thank you for the meal.

I went for lunch when I was on a work trip (^^) It's located in a shopping street just a 1-minute walk from Hankyu Awaji Station. The sign is big and says "Fuji" so it's easy to spot haha. The interior has a nostalgic feel, like an old-fashioned teppanyaki restaurant. There are about 50 seats, with 4 seats surrounding the teppan grill. This time, I went with a colleague and we arrived around 10:55, just before they opened at 11. The lady kindly asked us to wait a bit and showed us to a table, where we looked at the menu. Shortly after, she came to take our order. Both my colleague and I ordered the Butatama okonomiyaki set. You can choose any type of okonomiyaki for the set, but some may have an additional charge. Butatama and Ikatama are the same price. We also ordered a large serving of mixed yakisoba to share. The Butatama arrived first! And here's the interesting part - at Fuji, you get to cook it yourself (^^) While we were cooking, the mixed yakisoba arrived. It was a generous portion with lots of ingredients like pork, squid, octopus, and cabbage. It tasted like a classic sauce yakisoba. We could add mayonnaise for extra flavor. By the time we finished cooking the okonomiyaki, the set meal was complete with rice, miso soup, cold tofu, and pickles. It was a satisfying lunch and I felt full. I don't go to Awaji often, but I would definitely visit this restaurant again when I do. I recommend it to those who love flour-based dishes. Give it a try!

Ton ebi tamago & mix yakisoba Fuji @ Awajishita no ko came to play, so we decided to have lunch in Awaji and went here~ Okonomiyaki is a DIY style where you cook thick pork belly while mixing the batter~ The batter has plenty of yamaimo (Japanese yam) in it, so it took some effort to mix it well www When it's done cooking, pour plenty of sauce on it and it's fluffy and delicious♬ The yakisoba is cooked and brought to you with large pieces of pork, shrimp, octopus, and squid for a satisfying meal♬ It feels a bit lonely without beer (._.) Even though claiming to be full, the child ate Uji milk shaved ice, saying they have a separate stomach... I got a little bit and the matcha flavor was rich and delicious♬ #Flour dishes #Okonomiyaki #Yakisoba #Shaved ice #Awaji gourmet

This is a shop located about a 2-minute walk from the east exit of Hankyu Awaji Station. I visited for a solo lunch on a weekday afternoon. It's a popular shop locally. I ordered the Buta Tamamodan for 850 yen (tax included). This shop operates in a self-grill style where you cook your own food. After ordering, the ingredients like this are provided in about 5 minutes. *It was my first time grilling Modanyaki by myself (I have grilled at home before). I like my noodles crispy. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Here is the food being grilled. Everyone has their own way of grilling, but I grill it like this.

It is a traditional self-cook okonomiyaki restaurant. I ordered pork okonomiyaki and squid pork okonomiyaki. The batter contains plenty of yam. I like to lightly cook the pork first and then place it on top of the batter to prevent it from falling apart (lol). Once cooked, I top it with the original sauce, bonito flakes, and seaweed (mayonnaise is also available). Even when cooked by myself, the okonomiyaki turns out crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The generous size of the ingredients is also appealing. It is a popular spot, with customers coming in even after 2 pm. The yakisoba seasoned with the original sauce is also delicious, so I will definitely visit again. Just for your information, the yakisoba is cooked on a separate hot plate by the staff. Thank you for the meal.

I knew in advance that it had been a while since I last cooked this style of food, so I expected it to fall apart, and indeed it did, but I managed to salvage it to some extent. While I was cooking the okonomiyaki, the yakisoba came, so the yakisoba I ate in the latter part was burnt and tough. If you lower the heat too much, it affects the okonomiyaki, so I guess you have to eat the yakisoba quickly while it's being cooked. Okonomiyaki Deluxe, Yakisoba, Squid.

I'm not good at cooking, so my husband ordered a yakiniku set for himself, while I asked for a pork modern with ingredients to be cooked for me. The staff at a certain okonomiyaki restaurant insisted on not letting me touch the grill until the dish was ready, which I found to be a bit strict. I tried to ask for it to be cooked a bit more, but they seemed to know better. In the end, the center was undercooked. The sauce was the type you have to brush on, and the container didn't have a lid. The taste was okay, but the price was not worth it. I should have just eaten at home. 😂

I have been going to this okonomiyaki restaurant for over twenty years. You get to mix and cook it yourself! So, each one turns out different (lol). The yakisoba is also delicious with slightly thick noodles. Well, the mayonnaise is so tasty, it's irresistible!

This is a shop I have been going to since I was a child. It's not cheap, but the portions are incredibly large and the seafood and meat are just as big as they used to be, which is surprising! Many ingredients shrink when cooked, but at this shop they stay the same size and are delicious. Their homemade mayonnaise and sauce are also amazing. They sell the sauce, so sometimes when I visit the shop I buy some to take home.
