Opened in Fukuoka/Hakata in 2021, this hotel features an exhibit of the Hakata Yamakasa festival in the lobby, giving off a true Fukuoka vibe. The morning plate at Hotel Oriental Express Fukuoka Nakasu Kawabata is served at "BUTCHER BOX" next to the front desk on the first floor. The stylish space offers a plate breakfast with a choice of rice or bread, and I chose rice to enjoy with mentaiko. The breakfast plate includes a colorful salad, chicken sauté, cutlet, and onsen tamago, packed with a satisfying amount of food. I couldn't resist the combination of rice, mentaiko, and miso soup, which woke up my body after a night of drinking. The juicy chicken sauté and crispy cutlet were delicious, and I found myself eating heartily. Despite not being able to plate neatly, the taste was unbeatable. Eating this combination in one go was a joy compared to slowly nibbling on it as a souvenir. The protein-rich dishes filled me up, and I felt energized for the day ahead. Eating a hearty breakfast like this makes me realize that if the food is delicious, I can eat a lot. After enjoying the meal, I feel ready to tackle the day ahead with energy.

It's been a while since my last business trip. I stayed at a reliable Oriental hotel. Whenever I travel for work, I make sure to stay at a place with good food. This time, I chose a plan with breakfast included, so I'm not sure about the price. It was my first time staying in Fukuoka, and the breakfast had a variety of dishes like carpaccio, salad, simmered dishes, and tamagoyaki, all of which were delicious. The rice went well with mentaiko and shiokara. It was a great power charge before work.
