Harada: "From Shabu-Shabu Anzu Field" Headed to "Shabu-Shabu Anzu Field" along Route 3 in Higashi-ku. It's a restaurant from the Anzu Group. The ceiling is high, which is nice, but it seems like they are short-staffed for the size of the place. It's a shabu-shabu restaurant, but they also have set meals and individual hot pots for lunch. I had a seafood bowl with a draft beer. The 7-piece assortment for 1958 yen seemed a bit odd with the toppings on the ladle. I poured some soy sauce over it and thought it was okay considering the price. My partner had the "Dairyu Don" for 1408 yen, but it didn't feel very "Dairyu" (plentiful). Our child had the daily grilled fish set meal, which was made with leftover fish, turning a shabu-shabu restaurant into a seafood-filled lunch spot. It was a shabu-shabu restaurant that changed its business format from all-you-can-eat to a la carte and all-you-can-eat courses. The Iberico pork was delicious and we ate a lot. The only downside was that even though it was all-you-can-eat, it took a long time for the ordered items to arrive after requesting them from the staff. The staff seemed busy and it was difficult to catch their attention. Perhaps it is not part of the restaurant's policy, but I wished we could place additional orders through a touch panel. Note: The all-you-can-eat course on Tabelog only mentions three choices of soup base - Sichuan, Tonkotsu, and Tomato, but in reality, we could also choose the regular soup base and sukiyaki shabu.

I saw a newspaper advertisement about a renewal opening and decided to visit the restaurant early in the day. There were only 2 groups of customers when I arrived. The restaurant offered shabu-shabu courses with additional menu options, including some a la carte dishes. The prices were divided into three tiers and a premium option. As a first-time visitor, I found it a bit confusing, so I opted for the pork and beef course in the mid-price range. The hot pot was placed on the table first, followed by a serving of pre-cut vegetables. The presentation of the vegetables in a stylish wooden box with olive oil and rock salt was nice, but the olive oil didn't add much flavor after cooking the shabu-shabu. There were self-serve condiments like ponzu sauce and sesame sauce, and the initial Japanese-style broth was a bit weak, so adding condiments was recommended. The amount of vegetables was surprisingly large, and by the time the meat arrived, I was already quite full. For the finale, udon or porridge was offered, but it took a while for the staff to come around to take our order. The porridge was bland, so I added ponzu sauce to enhance the flavor. The dessert was delicious, but the portion was generous, making it difficult to enjoy after already feeling full from the vegetables. When it came time to pay, the staff was hard to find, and it turned out they only accepted cash. Overall, the food was tasty. The positive aspects were that each person had their own hot pot, and the individual servings of vegetables and meat made it easy to dine with friends or family. Areas for improvement included the need for child-friendly seating, a call button for summoning staff, excessive vegetable portions that may not suit light eaters, limited children's menu options, and the lack of card or digital payment options. The whole dining experience took about 1 hour and 30 minutes, with over 30 minutes spent waiting.

I went to eat tonkatsu with apricot sauce, but the apricot field had been renewed and turned into a shabu-shabu restaurant. It seemed like they had just opened because there wasn't a long wait and I could easily find a seat. I chose the double course with beef and pork. The vegetables were colorful and the variety of sauces like sesame, ponzu, and Japanese broth allowed for different flavors. Dessert was also included at the end, and it was satisfying with a generous portion.
