There is a curry restaurant in a mixed-use building above a taiyaki shop at the entrance of Ohatsu Tenjin Street from Higashi Umeda. It takes a bit of courage to enter, but once inside, the shop space is surprisingly spacious and comfortable. This time, I chose the katsu curry. The katsu, fried after ordering, was hot and crispy. There are also two types of curry roux, both delicious. The owner is friendly, and I will definitely visit again when I want to eat delicious curry.

On the third floor of a quite old mixed-use building, there is a curry restaurant. Climbing the narrow stairs to the third floor, you will find the hidden gem named "Kittan Curry." They offer Kittan Curry, Keema Curry, and a weekly special, such as Green Chili Curry. One unique feature is the option to have Katsu Curry with a side of Green Chili Curry. I ordered the Katsu Curry with Green Chili Curry on the side. The pork cutlet is cut and breaded after the order is placed, and it is fried to perfection, resulting in a delicious and crispy texture. The Kittan Curry has a mild European-style flavor, which is easy to enjoy, but it may become a bit monotonous if eaten alone. The combination of the stimulating curry and the Green Chili Curry seems to be a good match. The Green Chili Curry looks like crushed green chili peppers, but the seeds are removed, so it is not too spicy and is suitable for everyone. However, as you eat, it naturally induces sweating. Despite being located in the heart of Umeda, the restaurant has a somewhat hidden gem vibe. There are also plenty of topping options available. Thank you for reading until the end. Your likes, saves, and follows are very encouraging. Please check out my Instagram @ginjirou.star as well. Thank you for your support!

During a business trip in Osaka, I found a curry restaurant by chance near my hotel. It was located on the 3rd floor of a mixed-use building, with no elevator making access quite difficult. I wondered what kind of place it would be. As I opened the door and went in, I was greeted by a bright and stylish interior, which was a pleasant surprise. A young male staff member (possibly the owner) welcomed me and told me to sit wherever I liked. There was one other customer, a woman, who seemed to be a regular as she was chatting happily with the male staff member. I chose to try their signature dish, the "Kittan Curry" with pork cutlet, and asked for it to be spicy level 3. The staff member warned me that level 3 was quite spicy, but I insisted. The curry took some time to prepare, but when it arrived, I was impressed by the generous portion size. The pork cutlet was large and thick, and it tasted delicious when dipped in the curry. The curry itself was not too thick, with a nice spice level that I enjoyed. As I ate, the spiciness started to kick in, making me sweat a bit. The staff member checked in on me to see if the spiciness was okay, and I assured him that I was enjoying it. I savored every bite, especially when eating the curry with the side of onions, which added a refreshing flavor to the meal. Before I knew it, I had finished the hearty curry dish and was thoroughly satisfied with the experience. This curry restaurant exceeded my expectations and I left feeling happy and satisfied. Great job, Kittan Curry! It was delicious and comforting. Thank you for the meal!

Kittan Curry (Osaka, Kita-ku, in front of Ohtenjin) Today, I was looking to heal my body from within, so I headed south on Midosuji in search of curry. The restaurant I had my eye on had its shutters down, giving off an air of being closed for good. So, I decided to check out another nearby place with a sign that read "Curry" out front. It was located on the third floor of a small building, with a dangerously steep staircase that I had to climb. Inside the restaurant, the staff seemed to be relaxing. I was seated at a table and looked over the menu. The restaurant was named "Kittan Curry" and offered options like "Kittan Curry" and "Keema Curry" with various toppings available. The Kittan Curry was 100 yen cheaper. Since I had a meeting in the afternoon, I decided to go with the Kittan Curry with pork cutlet. The staff took my order, then proceeded to slice the meat, coat it, and fry it. This process took some time, but since there were no other customers, it would be ready in time for my lunch break. After about 20 minutes of waiting, the Kittan Curry with pork cutlet arrived. By then, there were four other customers in the restaurant. I was warned that the curry was quite spicy, so I ordered it with medium spiciness. The curry had a slightly thick consistency but was more on the watery side, with no visible chunks of ingredients. However, the blend of various spices created a harmonious yet complex flavor. I was glad I ordered it with pork cutlet, as having just the curry would have been a bit plain. The meeting went smoothly, with some constructive feedback given. (April 25, 2023) Kittan Curry Osaka, Kita-ku, Sonezaki 2-7-2 Matsuda Building 3F Phone number not available

Located between Ohatsu Tenjin Street and Osaka Station 4th Building, on the 3rd floor of Matsuda Building, there is "Kittan Curry." I decided to try it out and ordered the mixed curry (950 yen). The place has a counter with about 10 seats and two tables for four. The onion pickles were slightly spicy and served as a nice palate cleanser. The Kittan Curry had a classic European curry flavor with a good level of spiciness. You could taste the fruity sweetness of the well-cooked vegetables and the richness of the meat. The Keema Curry had a generous amount of lean minced meat with less fat and a strong richness. The pork cutlet was just the right thickness, with a crispy coating and a good balance of lean and fat. This European-style curry won't leave you feeling heavy, making it popular with evening customers as well. Whether it's lunch or dinner, be sure to give it a try! Thank you for the meal. [Situation] Located in the hidden gem of Solo Umeda, Ohatsu Tenjin Street, this curry shop is surprisingly not well-known. There is little information available, but the taste surpasses expectations. The spicy level is manageable for anyone, and the flavorful curry pairs well with rice. The fact that you can enjoy such delicious curry at this price feels like a charitable act. Plus, the operating hours are convenient. You can have it even after lunchtime, until the date changes at night, and even early in the morning on weekends. It's practically a welfare service. If I ever become a rice refugee, I will definitely come back! Thank you for the meal♪

I went to Umeda for some errands and had lunch at a curry restaurant right by Osaka Metro Higashi-Umeda Station. I ordered the Kintan Curry, which costs 780 yen. I chose the normal level of spiciness. The menu had options ranging from 1 to 3, so I assumed it was either 0 or 1 in terms of spiciness. The curry had just the right amount of spice with a slight acidity and a simple, smooth texture. It came with onion pickles in oil, which were delicious. I'm not really into the trendy colorful curries, so I appreciated this kind of curry. I'd like to try the Keema Curry next time.

On Sunday morning, the restaurant opens at 5 o'clock, so I visited around 10 o'clock. There were no other customers. I ordered the special curry of the day and the "kikutan curry" with a side-by-side arrangement. I chose toppings of minced cutlet and vegetables. For spiciness levels, I selected mild for one and medium for the other. However, the curry was overwhelmingly delicious when it was spicy. Level 3 was just right, and I could have even gone for level 4. Thank you for the meal.

Open for just one year, this restaurant is gaining a reputation for its specialty European-style curry. I visited Kintan Curry at night, where they offer a variety of dishes to enjoy with drinks. I decided to start with some appetizers like sliced bell peppers and fried yam. Each dish was delicious and made me want to try more. But I couldn't leave without trying their main curry dishes. I ordered the Kintan Curry and Keema Curry combo. You can choose the level of spiciness, but I went with the regular option. There are also many toppings to choose from, but I kept it simple for my first time. The first bite of the Kintan Curry was fruity and had a satisfying kick of spiciness. It was truly delicious and lived up to the hype. The Keema Curry was also rich and flavorful with a nice level of heat. The pickled onions served on the side added a nice touch. It was so good that I finished it in no time. This unique European-style curry is something you won't find elsewhere. Kintan Curry is definitely a satisfying restaurant experience that you have to try for yourself.

I arrived at Kintan Curry Rice around 1:35 pm on November 12, 2022 (Saturday) and had their curry rice. I was intrigued by their European-style curry. With the trend of spicy curries these days, it's refreshing to see a place proudly serving European-style curry. I opted for a smaller portion of rice and medium spiciness, which was just right. The onion pickle added a nice touch. Today I played it safe with the regular curry, but they have multiple curry options and various toppings to enjoy. I need to explore more. Inside the restaurant, I noticed they had mushrooms. Seriously? That would go well with this curry! Next time, I'll try that as a topping! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived before noon on a regular day. No other customers. One owner in the shop. Ordered today's two curries plus minced meat curry. Today's curries are pork belly curry and clam paste lentil curry. Chose level 3 spiciness for the minced meat curry, which is free. Total cost was 1200 yen including tax. The owner heated up each curry. Served in about 10 minutes. The minced meat curry at level 3 spiciness was quite spicy with a slightly bitter taste, similar to Mori's beef or Gyaa curry. (Of course, it's not as spicy as those.) The pork belly curry was quite sweet. The lentil curry had a strong clam flavor and wasn't spicy. Mixing all the curries together seems to be the best way to enjoy them, as the complex flavors come out. There's a little bit of pickled onions on top, but GHAR's onion achar tastes much better. The curry flavors here are not outstanding, just average, so I hope they can be more creative with their curries in the future.

I was curious, so I looked up at the building in front of the station and saw the word "CURRY" on the third floor of the building across the street. One day, I went down to the bottom of the building and saw a sign that said "European-style curry". I decided to go up to the third floor and found that there were no other customers. I sat at the counter seat by the window. I ordered the chicken curry with sausage and a raw egg on top. It had a gentle flavor followed by a moderate spiciness that came after. It was easy to eat and I really liked it! Since there was a lot of curry sauce, I plan to try ordering a large portion of rice next time and topping it with tonkatsu and a raw egg to make it more adventurous!

Keema curry. Level 3 spiciness! 880 yen. It was said to be quite spicy, but I was fine! However, spicy food is still spicy (laughs). I did break a sweat! Feeling energized with the spice charge! If you want to enjoy toppings, the cuttan curry is recommended. Toppings like hamburger, croquette, fried oysters, seafood, etc. seem fun to try out (≧▽≦)

On Sunday at 13:45, I went to "Kittan Curry" in Higashi Umeda. It's located on the 3rd floor of a mixed-use building in the bustling area, making it a bit of a hidden gem without a sign on the ground level. The interior has counter seats surrounding the kitchen and counter seats by the window. I ordered the "Kittan Curry (780 yen)" with a topping of "Ham Cutlet (200 yen)". I chose the spiciness level of 3, which is free up to that point. In just 7 minutes, the dish arrived. With the first bite, I found it delicious. The curry had a blend of various flavors, leaning towards a Western style. It was slightly sweet and definitely spicy, especially at level 3. Perhaps due to the multitude of ingredients blending together, the spiciness seemed to overpower the distinctiveness of the dish. Unfortunately, the "Minced Cutlet (200 yen)" was sold out, so I opted for the "Ham Cutlet", which was thick and crispy with a thin coating. Next time, I would like to try it with either the "Minced Cutlet" or the "Handmade Pork Cutlet (380 yen)" on top, but this time with a milder spiciness level of 1 to fully appreciate the taste of the curry sauce. Thank you for the meal.

When looking at numb's Instagram post, there were mentions of a collaboration between Kitan Curry and noodles! numb had made plans to meet up with a fishing buddy, so they invited the friend to visit Kitan Curry for the first time. The address for Kitan Curry is 2-7-2 Sonezaki, Kita-ku, Osaka City, and it is a 3-minute walk from Osaka Metro's "Higashi-Umeda" station. After exploring fishing stores, they arrived at the restaurant a little past 1 pm. The friend had already arrived, so numb apologized for being late. The main attraction for the day was the limited edition noodles! They went up to the 3rd floor of the building, sanitized their hands with alcohol, and got permission to take photos before sitting at the counter. numb greeted Chef Hase and ordered the husband's chicken crab white broth spice noodles with extra toppings of flavored egg and char siu. They were asked if they were okay with cilantro, as seen in numb's Instagram story. The char siu looked incredibly delicious, and numb couldn't wait to try it. While waiting, they took photos inside the restaurant, which had a cozy atmosphere. When the food arrived, they dug in. The rich broth was flavorful, with a clear and easy-to-drink soup base. The noodles were firm and matched perfectly with the soup. The char siu was melt-in-your-mouth tender and full of pork flavor. The cilantro and green onions added a nice touch. After finishing the noodles and char siu, they ordered a mini portion of the regular keema curry to dive into the soup. Chef Hase suggested enjoying it as is or mixing it with the soup. The European-style spiced curry was delicious. numb wanted to try combining this curry with the chicken crab white broth soup. Adding a creamy flavored egg made for a blissful meal. After thanking everyone, numb left Kitan Curry, feeling satisfied and promising to return. Thank you for the delicious meal!

At a unique building in Ohatsu Tenjin, there is a collaboration curry with Numb at a standing bar on the 3rd floor. The atmosphere is cozy and the dish served that day was "Chicken Crab White Soup Spicy Noodles with Extra Keema Rice." The noodles had a strong crab flavor with a nice balance of chicken white soup and spices. The Keema rice was a delicious authentic European-style curry with a good texture. The combination of European style, Keema, and limited edition was impressive!

I visited the restaurant on a night close to the end of the year. It is located on the 3rd floor of a mixed-use building near Omi Tenjin. There are two types of curry base available: "Kittan Curry" for ¥780 and "Keema Curry" for ¥880. I chose the simple "Kittan Curry" with a spice level of 2, which turned out to be quite spicy. Next time, I will try adding various toppings. It's convenient that they are open until late hours. Thank you for the meal.

Please visit the blog for a better experience: https://spicepaccho.com/2021/12/24/kittancurry/ 【Kittan Curry: Osaka - Umeda】Visited on December 9, 2021 (Thursday night) from "Higashi Umeda Station" 3 minutes on foot (about 8 minutes on foot from Umeda Station and Osaka Station) Zero wait time at 5:30 pm. Go up to the 3rd floor of the building from the building sign outside. Exterior of the store Located on the 3rd floor of a building on the way from "Oe Tenjin Street" near Higashi Umeda Station to the main street on the station building side, "Kittan Curry" is a European-style curry restaurant that opened on December 3, 2021. Amazing system where they are open from 11:30 am to midnight every day except Sundays, and you can also order alcohol. It's a great location in the center of Umeda's drinking district, perfect for finishing with curry or going for a drink. The interior of the store is bright and clean with a green theme! It's much larger than I imagined, with many seats. Counter seats on the right side after entering the store, and table seats as well. The kitchen and kitchen equipment are also sparkling clean. The curry is based on European style with only 2 types, "Kittan Curry" and "Keema Curry". You can add your favorite toppings! Curry menu, izakaya menu, drinks, onions, pickles. I later realized that the "handmade tonkatsu" seems to be popular. A simple white plate with a distinctive brown curry roux arrives! It's nice to have plenty of roux. Keema Curry (880 yen), Ham Cutlet (200 yen) Keema with plenty of ground meat on top of Kittan Curry base. It's meaty and juicy. Ground meat ham cutlet. The freshly fried ham cutlet is very satisfying to eat! I ordered it spicy, but personally, it was quite spicy and I started sweating. I felt like having a beer, but I had to resist that day. I'm interested in the izakaya menu, so I plan to stop by again when I drink in Umeda. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ I'm sharing on my blog, Instagram, and Twitter!
