This is a cake to celebrate one month since the birth of Mitzuki-chan. She can't eat it herself (lol) but the kids love this cake. Tomorrow is Mitzuki-chan's Omiya visit and her older sister Mihane-chan's 5th birthday, so maybe another cake? I asked and they said they can add a plate for an extra 64 yen.

On Premium Friday in February, after having a daytime drink at the sushi restaurant "Osushiya" in Tani 7, I returned to Osaka Minami and found that my Nespresso coffee capsules at home were running low. So, I decided to buy capsules at Takashimaya's Depachika and while exploring the food floor, I came across a shortcake made with incredibly large strawberries called "Large Strawberry Shortcake". The name itself is so fitting (*´ω｀*) Yummy! I bought it along with my favorite pudding and cream puffs. Back at home, I brewed Nespresso coffee and tried the sweets I purchased. Here's how they tasted... [Large Strawberry Shortcake (650 yen)] The cake is cube-shaped and small, making the strawberries on top look even larger. The cake also has sliced strawberries inside, so there's quite a lot of strawberries in it. The sponge is soft and fluffy, and the cream is smooth and just the right amount of sweetness. It tastes like a regular strawberry shortcake!! Well, that's expected!! (lol) [Basque Cheesecake (380 yen)] A traditional pastry from the Basque region in Spain. It has a crispy top and a soft, moist base. The rich flavor of the cheese is also great!! Yep, no doubt it's delicious. It would go well with wine too (lol) [Cream Puff (250 yen)] The choux pastry is lighter than I expected, and the custard cream inside is very creamy and rich. Yep, I really like the cream puffs from here!! [Dad's Pudding & Mom's Pudding (each 350 yen)] Dad's pudding has whipped cream on top and is very rich. It also has a strong vanilla bean flavor. On the other hand, Mom's pudding has a hint of liquor and a light, egg-flavored custard. Comparing the ingredients, Dad's pudding is trendy while Mom's pudding is more retro. This could be a matter of preference, but alternating between the two makes Dad's pudding's rich taste stand out. Overall, all the sweets I ate this time were delicious, but personally, the cream puff was the highlight for me. Sweets after drinking are always great (lol). It was a satisfying meal. I've been wanting to eat some delicious cake lately, but I couldn't find any near my house and I felt hesitant to go out just to buy one or two. However, while shopping at the basement floor of Takashimaya, I decided to look around. There were many beautiful cakes, but I chose a large strawberry shortcake from this shop as there were only two left. I bought two of them and a Mont Blanc for my wife. I plan to enjoy them before evening. I'm looking forward to how delicious they will be.

Received from a customer on August 10, 2021 during work. They purchased it at Namba Takashimaya. There were many options, but I got two for my wife and me, and brought them home. Strawberry cake and Mont Blanc. Both were shared. This Mont Blanc ❤️( ﾟДﾟ) was amazing!! Among all the Mont Blancs I've had, it might be number one? The strawberry was delicious too. It's been a while since I had a Levedoucheff. The shop in Sannomiya closed down, so I haven't had the chance to buy from the Kobe shop. I decided to try their cream puffs, where they fill the custard after you order. The pastry is soft and the custard is generous, which I found satisfying. The size is quite big and seems worth the price. Personally, I prefer a pastry with a firmer texture.

I chose a "Lev Duche" cake for Hina Matsuri in March 2019! Every year, I struggle to decide where to get my Hina Matsuri cake, but this year I fell in love with the decorations and colors of this one. Lev Duche always makes the plate decoration look cute, so I love it. The cake was delicious too! ☺️✨

In the shop showcase and shelves, there are cakes, chocolates, and sweets displayed. I chose a pistachio cookie to purchase. The cookie was crispy with a buttery pistachio-flavored dough. Next time, I plan to try the luxurious chestnut pie, pomme, and rich and fluffy cheesecake.

Mille-feuille (only available at Takashimaya) is very crispy.

While walking around the Namba Takashimaya department store, I came across a roll cake with the letter "R" engraved on it. Priced at just over 1000 yen, it seemed like a good deal so I decided to buy it as a souvenir for my family. The taste was delightful, with the sweet cream in the cake melting in my mouth and spreading a fluffy sensation. It was a long time since I had such a delicious roll cake.

There are many cute cakes, but since I have a pet frog, I bought some sweets in a frog-shaped pouch. Even after finishing the snacks, I am happy that I can still use the frog pouch. The snacks include several types of baked goods, which are enjoyable.

I've been curious for a while and wanted to eat, so I bought a cream puff, papa pudding, and mama pudding. ・Cream Puff A custard cream with a rich milky flavor and a soft choux pastry. The choux pastry is pretty ordinary, like the kind you can find in convenience stores or old-fashioned bakeries. It tends to get dry as time passes. The custard cream is sweet but not too heavy, and delicious! Just as I imagined, it was filled with a lot of cream and very tasty! I would love to eat it again and would be happy if someone bought it for me! In terms of Osaka cream puffs ranking, I would say it's around 4th place... but it's delicious! ・Papa Pudding A soft and creamy pudding with a layer of thick cream on top. A two-layered pudding. It has a simple taste and is delicious! It has a shelf life until the next day! ・Mama Pudding This one has alcohol in it. It's a regular pudding without cream on top like the papa pudding. My brother tried it and liked it. I want to buy the pudding and cream puffs from here again!

In the basement of Takashimaya in Namba, there is a shop called "Glamacy New York" between Henri Charpentier. I was looking for cakes in the Takashimaya basement. When I saw this shop, the cakes looked delicious, but the bread looked even more delicious! Although my original intention was to buy cakes, the cakes were cute with rabbit and bear motifs, which made me feel a little hesitant to buy them as a middle-aged man. So, I skipped the cakes and bought an anpan and walnut bread. Both breads were delicious. Especially the anpan was filled with red bean paste and it was really good. Therefore, I found other bread that caught my interest, so I decided to buy bread here occasionally.

I went along as a companion and bought two crispy mille-feuille pastries. I had them after dinner. The crispy pastry and the cream inside went perfectly together! There was one strawberry cut in half inside. I wished there was one more strawberry inside. I love strawberries. It's been a while since I had mille-feuille, but it was delicious! I bought cream puffs and a Swiss roll cake. The cream puffs are filled with plenty of custard. The cream feels more sandwiched inside the choux pastry rather than just being inside. The top part is cut and placed on top of the cream. The pastry is of a soft type. The Swiss roll cake is not pre-sliced but comes as a whole. There is a moderate amount of cream inside. Both my husband and I prefer this amount of cream. We don't like Swiss roll cakes where most of the inside is cream, so this type is light and easy to eat.
