After enjoying delicious udon at Mr. Yen's Udon, I visited Mochikichi Hakata Honten. By chance, they were having their anniversary celebration, with many items being 20% off. I purchased a Fukuoka-exclusive product called "Can't Give Up Even if It's Spicy!! Mentaiko Flavored Rice Crackers." The inside has a fluffy texture, and the spiciness of the mentaiko comes later. It might be perfect as a snack with alcohol.

While visiting Kushida Shrine, Tochoji Temple, and Seifukuji Temple, I stumbled upon the main store of Mochi Yoshii. I decided to stop by and purchased the "Ajitoppu" for 280 yen as a snack to enjoy at the hotel. After paying, I noticed they had an eat-in corner and some limited edition mentaiko rice crackers next to it - what a shame I didn't see them earlier!

I visited this long-established store out of curiosity and found a variety of snacks, including the typical rice crackers and senbei as well as unique options like the ones in the photo. Everything was reasonably priced at around 200-300 yen. Personally, I liked the salad-flavored senbei the most, but all of them were delicious, and the staff was very friendly.

A cozy cafe near the hotel that serves traditional Japanese sweets like matcha and mochi. The seating area is small, so it's not ideal for lounging, but the ice cream is delicious. I ended up enjoying it outside on my way back!

This is a senbei (rice cracker) shop near Gion Station. I often see advertisements for Mochi Yoshi, a popular Fukuoka souvenir, on trains. I decided to take a morning stroll around my hotel and found this shop, which opens at 9 am. I arrived at 9:01 am, and the shop was already open. There were a few customers inside, so I waited a bit before entering. The staff recommended the "Don't Give Up Even If It's Spicy" senbei, which pairs well with beer and melts in your mouth. They also had Japanese sweets, and I couldn't resist trying the "Lucky Money" dorayaki. I bought the one with white bean paste, and it had a moist and gentle sweetness. I also purchased some senbei, which had a soft texture and was delicious. I heard they have a branch in Tokyo, so I'd like to visit if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal! ★3.11

Today's lunch was very satisfying. I went to work feeling excited, and my colleague was handing out souvenirs from Hakata. They brought me some Mochikichi senbei (rice crackers)♪ I gratefully put it in my bag to enjoy as a snack with my beer on the way home (lol). After work, I cracked open a long can of beer on the train and opened the senbei bag. Crunch, crunch, it tastes so good. The aroma of the rice is delicious. Mochikichi has over 200 stores nationwide, and now you can even buy them online. It's been a while since I've had them. They make a great snack with tea, but they're also perfect for a little drink. Thanks to them, I enjoyed my beer even more. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Mochiyoshi-san located next to Higashi Nagadera in Hakata. There are many confectionery shops originating from the Chikuho region, right? I have always been interested in the CM for inari-age mochi that I hear on the radio, and this time I purchased a set of ayame and mitarashi dango. I usually buy mitarashi dango at the supermarket, but the taste of these dango was completely different. Next time, I want to get the inari-age mochi. After making a purchase, I received a bottle of Chikara-mizu. I guess it's delicious because it's made with this water, right?

This is a review of Mochikichi's snacks. I bought both Shoyu Flavor and Karakute mo Akiramenntai. Shoyu Flavor is a sweet soy sauce taste from Kyushu. It was crispy and I couldn't stop eating it. Karakute mo Akiramenntai has a spicy mentaiko flavor. It goes well with beer. It seems like a popular souvenir gift.

When boarding the subway from Fukuoka Airport, you'll notice an advertisement for "Mochikichi." The "Inari Mochiage" looks delicious. After searching for Mochikichi's store, I found the main store is located across from the hotel, so I went to buy some. In addition to the "Inari Mochiage," there were many other products to choose from, but I decided to buy only three to avoid carrying too much weight. Once I got home, I tried the "Fluffy Amazake Rice Cracker" first. With just one bite, you can taste the gentle sweetness of the amazake flavor. Next, I tried the "Inari Mochi." It was very easy to cook using only the microwave, although it was a bit messy. However, once I tasted it, the hassle was forgotten as the perfect harmony between the sweet and salty sauce of the fried tofu and the mochi was beyond delicious! Highly recommended!

Rice crackers are delicious, but this time I went to buy mochi-filled kinchaku. It can be stored at room temperature and easily made in the microwave, which is recommended. Even in the microwave, the mochi becomes soft and the flavor of the inari is added, but I found it a bit too intense for my taste. I sent it to my sister and she was happy, saying it was delicious.

I bought some souvenirs at Mochi Yoshi in Gion, including senbei (square cans are popular!?), but since it's Children's Day, I got kashiwa mochi!! My partner bought it and it was yomogi mochi kashiwa mochi!! It was slightly sweet with a nice yomogi fragrance!! They didn't have chimaki, so my partner, who loves chimaki, seemed a little disappointed haha

The location and appearance of the store make me think for a moment that it's a temple - Namu Amida Butsu~ Hello, Mochi Yoshii-san is truly impressive with a wide variety of rice crackers, mochi sweets, and baked goods. The café corner also offers drinks and even ice cream. Ice cream is a nice addition! I might find myself stopping by in the summer without realizing it. I usually use station or department store shops, so coming to an independent store like this allows me to discover unexpected products and services, which is great. They had sakura mochi on the lineup, but it was sold out in the afternoon. It often sells out quickly. Next, I wanted to try the seasonal limited edition sakura series, and there it was - the En Mochi Sakura An. I love the sakura series, so I was really happy. In spring, many sweets are filled with pink limited edition products, but sometimes I get a bit disappointed because of the abundance of strawberry series. Spring isn't just about pink - there's also green like matcha and mugwort. So, I also got a Yomogi Daifuku to take home. The En Mochi Sakura An surprised me with its mochi texture, similar to a famous confectionery. It was completely different from what I had imagined, with a chewy texture and a spread of sakura fragrance and sweetness as you chew. It's a shame that it's a seasonal limited edition - I wish they would make it a year-round product. The Yomogi Daifuku had a vibrant green color from the Yomogi, and the texture was extremely rich. It felt like I was eating the actual ingredient! The mochi was soft and stretchy, and the sweet red bean paste supported the Yomogi mochi beautifully. It was delicious and wonderful. Thank you for the feast!

The purpose was to land at Fukuoka Airport due to weather conditions, so I decided to stop by in Hakata. Since it was my first time landing in Hakata, I decided to walk along the main street from Hakata Station. Before reaching a large temple, I came across "Mochikichi Honoten"! As expected, it's the main store, with a large storefront and a big sign. There was even a water wheel! I crossed the pedestrian crossing and entered the store. I bought some of their recommended "Inari Age Mochi" for myself and as souvenirs. The "Inari Age Mochi Limited Yuzu Flavor" comes in a pack of 4 vacuum-sealed pieces, with 2 pieces of mochi in one pack and 2 pieces of fried tofu. By putting the mochi inside the fried tofu and microwaving it for about a minute, you get a delicious treat with a soft and juicy texture that perfectly combines the mochi and the fried tofu. The yuzu flavor adds a nice touch, and the sweetness of the fried tofu complements it well. It was excellent! For souvenirs, some people preferred the regular flavor over the yuzu one, so next time, I might go for the classic Inari Age Mochi. I definitely want to try their limited edition items at home. Enjoying a warm treat like this traditional Japanese sweet with the sweetness of the fried tofu wrapped around the mochi is a delightful experience, especially in winter. The store had a wide variety of products, including free samples and self-service tea. They also offered snacks for dining in, and I saw some ladies enjoying their snack time with friends. The reasonable prices make it a place where you could visit every day. It felt like a cozy spot where you could take a break. My encounter with Mochikichi began during a trip to Shikoku when I first learned about it in a shopping street in Uwajima. The attractive display of traditional Japanese sweets, perfect for souvenirs, caught my attention, and I ended up making a purchase. I even received a bottle of water as a gift, maybe it was called "Chikara Mochikichi" or something similar. The bottle cap had "Mochikichi" written on it, and its charm still sits on my desk. I don't know why, but the name Mochikichi is just so adorable and irresistible to me. I hope to visit their factory someday.

A box filled with various snacks. We shared them all. They all looked delicious, but I managed to get the "Shrimp Mayo" and "Soy Sauce" flavors. The "Shrimp Mayo" was delicious! It was a light and crispy rice cracker coated with shrimp and a mild mayonnaise flavor that wasn't overpowering. The "Soy Sauce" flavor was also light and crispy, with a sweet and salty taste. Both flavors were nostalgic and tasty. I would love to try all the snacks from this place. Thank you for the meal.

Before heading to Tochoji Temple from Gion Subway Station, I stopped by the "Mochikichi Hakata Main Store" next door. I have a weakness for their main store, so I visited and bought two "Inari Fried Rice Cakes" for 345 yen each including tax. The expiration date was a little over a month. They kindly offered me a sample, which I felt a bit guilty about, but when I tried it at home, it was even more delicious than the sample! I think the sample was cut into small pieces, so I couldn't fully appreciate the flavor. I'm glad I bought it.

In October 2014, there are many interesting temples in Hakata. While exploring, I came across the main store of "Mochikichi," which is famous for online shopping and retail stores. The store had a majestic appearance, and it got me excited. They not only sell rice crackers but also soft serve ice cream. I took a break with Mochikichi matcha gelato. It was cold, sweet, and delicious.

It's been a while since I visited Mochikichi. I purchased the rice cake. It had a slightly moist texture, like the kind you would find on a table at a ryokan.

I received a thank you rice cracker from a customer via home delivery. It's my job to respond, but it still makes me happy. The festival rice cracker has a reliable delicious soy sauce flavor. The shrimp crackers have shrimp in them and are not too sweet, which is great.
