Meshiuma's Delicious Dish (68th dish in 2023): I got a cake to go from Genre Plan in Tsurumi. The shop has a cute and lovely exterior. It seems like you can also dine in. The choux cream puff had a strong sweetness and was filled with plenty of cream, making it really delicious.

I received a cute snowman tote bag with delicious cookies and baked goods inside for Christmas. The set included madeleine cookies, marble cake, galette, and orange cookies. I am grateful for such a small but thoughtful gift. Thank you for the feast!

I had been curious about this cake shop. The prices are mostly in the 400 yen range per piece, so I think it's pretty reasonable. I bought seasonal cakes and they were surprisingly generous in size. They also look cute, so they would make great gifts!

Located on Hanakou Kinen Park Street in Tsurumi Ward, Osaka City, is "Genre Plan" restaurant. I was curious about the popular trend these days... Oh! That's right, Maritozzo! But before that, I realized I hadn't tried Taiwanese Castella yet. I ordered the "Akadama Taiwanese Castella" for ¥810. It is made with rich red eggs, giving it a vibrant orange color. The texture of the cake is soft and fluffy, similar to a souffle cheesecake, and the inside is slightly undercooked, like a rare cheesecake. I tried to shake it to give it some freshness, but it didn't work (maybe I needed a knife). I imagine it would have been even more delicious if I had eaten it fresh out of the oven. I'll have to try it that way next time.

At "Genre Plan" on Hanahaku Kinen Koen Street in Tsurumi-ku, Osaka City, we got some cakes to go. My son chose the "Melon Shortcake" for ¥432, which he said was delicious. I chose the "Fresh Fruit Tart" for ¥410, which was full of fruits and looked glittery. When we cut open the Fresh Fruit Tart, we found a soft custard cream and even a Swiss roll in the middle of the cake. It was a unique and delicious cake with plenty of fruits.

Today's sweets at Genre Plan Tsurumi Hanamatsudori store are cold ice cream, ice eclair with vanilla and mascarpone cheese sandwiched in bread. The chocolate base of the classic chocolat is excellent. The cafe corner inside the store offers ice cakes and Taiwanese castella. Of course, there are plenty of main cakes as well. A cake shop near the Expo Commemoration Park. I often stop by for a break during work and have used it for souvenirs a few times. There is a parking lot for 5-6 cars behind the shop, which makes it easy to enter. Once, some local ladies were there and it seemed like there wouldn't be a seat available soon, so I had to give up and go home. It would be helpful if there were a few more seats.

I visited the shop on Sunday. I usually have no interest in pastry shops or sweets, but I was looking for a cake or something Instagram-worthy for a surprise celebration at a gathering on Sunday. When I saw some posts from others, I thought it might be good, so I quickly looked at the pictures and found a fruit tart! I had visited the shop the day before and after asking the staff, I decided on this tart. The staff were very helpful, and the shop was bright and clean. I told them I would pick it up the next day in the evening, and I went back home that day. I went to pick it up the next day in the evening, and everything was ready for me. I received it almost immediately. The event started in the evening, so the photos were taken in the dark, but they turned out well. Even an old guy like me thought it was delicious! Now, it's time for a home café. I chose the lemon tart for my snack. The whole peach cake was taken before I could get it. The lemon tart was quite sour and lacked the refreshing taste. It was a bit too sweet and sour. My family struggled with the whole peach cake in front of me, as the peach was hard and the cake was not as good as expected. It was a bit disappointing. I remember the delicious whole peach cake from Lupino Tamazo store. It was not as good as that. The peach was rubbery and the cake was quite plain. I wonder if they really pay attention to the quality. From the tables where people were eating the cake, there was no comment like "it's delicious". It was a somewhat frustrating snack time. Maybe the taste has declined, or I made a poor choice. It seems like it will be a while before I return.
