I wasn't sure where to go that day, but I ended up choosing Fujiyoshi as usual. I ordered my usual dish and enjoyed it slowly. Thank you for the meal.

Located in Sakai City, Sakai-ku, Ebisujima-cho, the folk craft restaurant Fujikichi Sakai Ekimae store was the venue for our hot summer gathering after four years. The young organizer from the office took care of the arrangements, and we enjoyed a full-course kaiseki meal with premium all-you-can-drink option. A welcome board greeted many guests at the entrance. Once seated, we checked the menu for the day and awaited the arrival of the main dishes. After the toast, we were served appetizers on large plates, with sashimi also served in a similar manner. While individual items like lotus root manju and tea-pickles were served separately, dishes like Akagi beef tataki salad and chicken breast chashu were shared on large plates. If this is considered kaiseki, then it may not be suitable. Also, the premium all-you-can-drink option did not include sake. For 7000 yen, I personally found this to be disappointing.

Mini Katsudon set meal for around 900 yen. They offer a variety of set meals for lunch, and this time I ordered the Mini Katsudon set meal. Even though it's called "Mini," you can actually get extra rice, so it ends up being like a regular Katsudon, haha. However, be careful because even though the rice increases, the amount of egg and katsu stays the same, so you might end up feeling empty and just eating the white rice towards the end. I forgot the exact menu details, but the set meal comes with mixed rice, and if you get extra rice, you'll get a bowl full of mixed rice, so be really careful when ordering, haha. Maybe it was just my experience, but the service was a bit slow. If it's your first time, it might be better to go when you have some extra time.

We enjoyed octopus simmered in soy sauce, lotus root manju, squid and cucumber with spicy cod roe, assorted sashimi, grilled sea bream with salt, assorted pickles, squid tempura, tomato slices, draft beer, cocktails, and sake. We also bought some nigiri sushi and rolled sushi to take home! Thank you for the delicious meal ❤️

Fujiyoshi Sakai Ekimae Store, Sakai-ku, Sakai City, Ebusushima-cho
After work, my colleagues and I got caught in a sudden thunderstorm when we got off at Sakai Station. We decided to take shelter at a drinking party, which turned into a fun night. We headed to Fujiyoshi for some draft beer and shochu highball to kick things off. They were having a beer festival with a lucky draw, and I won a 500 yen voucher for the next visit.
We ordered dishes like boiled hamo fish, grilled beef sinew, and savory egg, enjoying them with our drinks. The pace of drinking picked up, and we ended up ordering more rounds. The manager came over and shared some nostalgic stories from past parties we had there. As a bonus, they served us their famous lotus root bun.
Feeling content, we wrapped up the night on a high note. We look forward to the next opportunity to have a party here.

Lunch on this day was in Sakai City. It was a support lunch for a restaurant that is still operating despite the pandemic. On this day, relatives gathered and enjoyed a banquet meal together. This place, Fujiyoshi, is an izakaya located in the basement of Agora Regency. It's not directly operated by Agora Regency, but rather a tenant. The atmosphere was casual, unlike a hotel restaurant. We had a private room separated by sliding doors, which could accommodate about 16 people. There were 11 of us, so the size was just right. The payment was contactless, so I don't know how much the course was. We started with sashimi and also had fillet cutlets. The food was really delicious. I didn't take many photos, sorry. The food at Fujiyoshi was so tasty!

The lunch menu was great~\(//∇//)\ They have a variety of set meals too(^○^) Next to it is a unique shop, a bookstore that also runs a udon and soba restaurant. It reminds me of the old robatayaki place in Tsukuno. I had the mini katsudon and udon set for 935 yen. The katsudon wasn't really mini, it was a regular size(o^^o) The broth was flavorful and delicious( ^ω^ ) Thank you for the meal~(~^○^~)Fujiyoshi Sakai Ekimae Store050-5596-33594-45-1 Ebisujima-cho, Sakai-ku, Sakai City, OsakaHotel Agora Regency Sakai B1Fhttps://tabelog.com/osaka/A2705/A270501/27008723/

We went to Fuyoshi with three people! The eggplant ohitashi, tender octopus simmered in soy sauce, lotus root manju, dashimaki buri daikon, chicken nanban, kinki dried fish, and more were all delicious! The eggplant ohitashi was amazing! It was so delicious! The tartar sauce for the chicken nanban was not too heavy, you could dip it generously! It was so tasty! The buri negi shio was delicious when wrapped with garlic and wasabi! It seems they also have online shopping, so I definitely want to place an order!

Visited the restaurant before 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Got off at Sakai Station and went to a place to eat and drink, heading to the basement of a hotel near the station. The restaurant was spacious with both tatami and table seating available. Started with a draft beer. The flounder sashimi was from Wakayama, very fresh. One notable feature of this place is the wide variety of menu options. They have everything. The deep-fried shrimp and grated daikon radish were delicious. We finished a bottle of shochu between the two of us. The smoked mackerel was a great accompaniment. Sakai Station's west exit may be a bit quiet, but it is a historic town with a port dating back to the time of Rousou Sukesaemon.

After participating in the "Great Health Charity Walk in Sakai Toshimasa-no-Mori," we had lunch at "Mingei Fujiyoshi" in front of Sakai Station. It is located on the B1F of Hotel Agora Regency Osaka Sakai, formerly known as Regal Royal Hotel Sakai. First, we ordered a "Premium (medium)" beer for 580 yen (excluding tax). We must have walked about 14 km, including some detours during the walk. The beer was exceptionally delicious! Then, I ordered the "Hire Hitokuchi Katsu set meal" for 850 yen (excluding tax). It came with salad, miso soup, small side dishes, and pickles. The freshly fried "Hire Hitokuchi Katsu" was served hot. I dipped it in sauce with a little bit of mustard and savored it. The meat quality was superb! It exceeded my expectations by far! Although the restaurant is called "Mingei Fujiyoshi" Sakai Station Front Store, it seems to be the only store of its kind. Across the aisle, there was a related store called "Udon Soba Fujiyoshi." Both are owned by Fujikichi Shoten Co., Ltd.

Fujikichi from Tsukuno used to visit often. After it closed down, I knew there was another one at Agora Regency, but it was my first time visiting here. It's very convenient to go by car as it is directly connected to the parking lot on the basement 1st floor of Agora Hotel. On this day, I was lucky enough to have someone drive me as I wasn't drinking. Lucky me! The food is typical izakaya menu, but even though it's a big place, the serving time is quick and doesn't feel stressful. It's great to have hot dishes served right away. Also, the alcohol serving time is very early, which is a great service for alcohol lovers. It can be frustrating when the alcohol serving is slow, right? Drinkers can be noisy about that. We started with edamame from the speed menu, and then the orders kept coming - tekka maki, enoki bacon, karaage, dashimaki, potato fry, chijimi, crab cream croquette, hirakatsu, eihire, etc. We ate a variety of dishes, enjoyed some highballs, and this place is cheap and good value for money. Thank you for the meal!

After finishing a meeting with a competitor company, I was invited to have lunch by the head of the department at the hotel Agora Regency. We sat in a spacious tatami room and ordered the recommended curry udon, which is a favorite of the tough department head at the other company. The portion size of the bowl made me momentarily flinch, but I admired the vitality of the department head as I started slurping the udon. The curry, with tender simmered beef tendon and fried tofu, had a slightly spicy kick to it. I kept slurping the plentiful udon without getting tired of the delicious flavors. I was initially worried I wouldn't finish it, but I managed to enjoy it to the last bite. After the satisfying meal, I returned to the office to continue promoting the matters discussed in the meeting. Thank you for the meal.

I used it for entertaining people. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and the staff were very polite. It was a bit difficult to serve and clean up with the large dishes, but the food was delicious. I would like to visit again when I go to Sakai.

I had a mini shrimp tempura rice bowl set for lunch. The shrimp was plump and the soba noodles were flavorful and warming. Even though it's called mini, it's filling.
