Chirashi bowl. The seafood was thick and delicious, regardless of the type. There are many seafood bowl restaurants, but this one stood out as one of the best! The restaurant also has an ocean view, which adds to the dining experience. It's a hidden gem that I highly recommend and would love to share with others!

The entrance of the restaurant is on the second floor, and once you enter, you have a stunning view of the sea right in front of you. The seafood bowl I ordered had a variety of fresh fish. It would have been nice if they explained what each fish was when they served it. But overall, it was a satisfying restaurant.

Before visiting our first business partner in Otaru on our Hokkaido expedition, we enjoyed a satisfying lunch. With a view of Ishikari on the right and Shukutsu on the left, and facing Ishikari Bay, it was a bit cloudy but still a beautiful sight. We ordered a 10-piece sushi set for 1,650 yen, which was served in about 10 minutes. The soup was called "arajiru," but it didn't have much fish bones, mostly just meat. The taste was average. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I decided to go to Zenibako to have some seafood. It feels like I haven't been in the Zenibako area for almost 40 years... I haven't been there since Zenibako Station was renovated. I only know the station that appears at the beginning of the movie "Station". I arrived at the restaurant around 11 o'clock, it took about 25 minutes from my house. It's quite close. When I parked my car in the parking lot and entered the store, there was only one other customer. It seemed like they were eating the same thing I was planning to order. I sat down and quickly ordered the "nama chirashi" lunch menu for 1680 yen including tax. It was ready in about 5 minutes. It's a bit over 1000 yen for a weekday lunch... There's a little bit of ikura on top. The bowl is in the shape of a mortar, and it looks big when you look at it, but it's not that big. The rice comes with vinegar unless you specify otherwise. So it's not too hot, and there's no risk of burning your mouth on the toppings. The toppings are all fresh and the seasoning is just right... It seems like they really bring out the flavor of the toppings. However, they are all thinly sliced... so the flavor of the toppings seems a bit weak. For this price, I wish they were a bit thicker... maybe 30-50% more thickness would be better. As I started eating, it had been a while and the deliciousness overwhelmed me, so I ate it all at once... By the time the complimentary soup had cooled down, I had almost finished eating. The soup is simple, but it seems like it has been simmered for quite a while. It would be better if it came in a larger bowl... Overall, it's not amazing, but I can say I am satisfied with the seafood bowl after a long time.

Today's highest temperature in Sapporo was -8.9°C and the lowest temperature was a whopping -12.8°C. My face hurts from the cold, with whiteout conditions all around the city. I made my way through to the nearby town of Otaru, where the sea was predictably rough. It was around noon, so I decided to have lunch while enjoying the view of the stormy sea. It was a fantastic experience.

There is a parking lot so you can come by car, but you can also come by train to the store near the station, close to the station, and near the sea, which also has a balcony with a nice view. I ordered a seafood bowl and was told there was no rice because it was in the evening, but they had sushi rice, so I had a bowl and sushi with shrimp, salmon roe, dried herring, scallops, tuna, and more. I ended up eating too much. It seemed that sea urchin would be available from June, but I had purple sea urchin from Otaru, which was my favorite, and it was deliciously creamy. They also serve lunch. It's a hidden gem in Otaru with a lot of buzz, located near Zenibako Station and close to the sea.

I received a chirashi sushi at Zenihan! The seafood bowl has the toppings on top of white rice, while the chirashi sushi has the toppings on top of vinegar rice, making a clear distinction! The freshness of the toppings is overwhelming! And the ocean view!! I heard they serve beachside Jingisukan until Obon in the summer in Hokkaido! I would love to visit in the summer next time! Thank you for the meal!

On this day, I went on a drive around Otaru and Zenibako aiming for a seafood bowl! I found this restaurant here. There was a sign saying that it's popular and reservations are recommended for lunch, but since there were no reservations at that time, they let us in right away. We got a seat with an ocean view! It was a bit cloudy and windy that day, but I could tell it must be really beautiful on a clear day. From the menu, I chose the Nama Chirashi (¥1595) and added some crab (around ¥500). It came with miso soup and fruits. I enjoyed my meal while looking out at the sea. The Nama Chirashi came with shrimp, egg, salmon roe, tuna, and a few other things. I also added some crab. You can add different toppings for an extra charge. The location and the food made me feel like I was eating the real deal. It was a delicious meal!

I ordered a special deluxe bento box, while my mother, who has allergies, can only eat squid and octopus. We also got some dried gourd rolls to go. Overall, the sushi was delicious in Otaru. It was a long weekend, so there were a few groups dining before and after us. It felt like a local sushi restaurant. Thank you for the meal! 🍣💕

Looking for lunch at Zennyaku. ✲Service & Atmosphere✲ Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted with a large window overlooking the vast ocean. You can enjoy your meal while taking in the blue sea and clear sky. The interior of the restaurant is quite clean. Customers trickle in one by one, but steadily. The staff are quiet and seem to have a pleasant personality. ✲Food✲ True to its local quality, the food was fresh and delicious. It also came with a clam soup, which was a nice touch. ✲Summary✲ I was satisfied eating delicious seafood while overlooking the sea.

I visited for lunch! We had a large group, so we called ahead to reserve the menu and were seated on the second floor. The wall facing the sea was all glass windows, and the view was great because the weather was nice! We had the deluxe sushi bowl, and every piece of fish was delicious, so we were very satisfied. The staff were also very friendly. I would love to go back for another delicious lunch while looking at the sea!

A vast expanse of blue, stretching to the faraway boundary of sea and sky. When you gaze at the unknowable blueness beyond the horizon, it is not a shape but a universal truth in the metaphysical sense. Looking out at the vast sea, the closest island to heaven, a sushi lunch that evokes such thoughts. It almost feels like the song "Love Let's Sushi Together♪" is playing in the background. Self-BGM flows through the heart, as sushi... not just a beautiful view, but the delicious food makes it even better. A plate of 10 pieces of fresh sushi, beautifully arranged on the plate. Tuna, salmon, white fish, squid, salmon roe, and more, a popular and basic lunch set. The miso soup, made with shrimp broth I believe, is unexpectedly delicious. The rice doesn't taste too vinegary, and the sushi rice is also delicious. The seafood bowl looks even better, with a whole shrimp, scallops, and egg visible, making it seem more appealing. The popular "nama chirashi" is the number one choice here, and even if you don't need the sea urchin, you can't help but expect it to be good. The "chawanmushi" for an additional 400 yen (excluding tax) caught my attention, and I might try it next time when I feel like gazing at the Ishikari Bay from the window.

I have been wanting to write reviews for a while now, but never got around to it. I want to start with the most memorable restaurants and work my way through. This review is from my first visit on August 10, 2019, with my mother, who is still alive, and it was the last restaurant we visited together. My mother and brother had been there before, so this time we went with my wife and brother, a total of four of us. It was early August, so we were just in time to enjoy fresh sea urchin. The restaurant is located right across from JR Hakodate Line's "Zenma" station, making it convenient for those without a car. The interior was clean and typical of a sushi restaurant, but the view outside was stunning. Even though it was a cloudy day, the view was still impressive. I ordered the "Daiha Chirashi," while my wife and mother had the "Daiha Nigiri," and my brother had the "Uni Don." I remember the price being around 3300 yen. The Daiha Chirashi I had was perfect in both appearance and taste. The sea urchin, salmon, tuna, and other seafood flavors were unique and delightful. If you're planning a trip to Hokkaido, I highly recommend adding this restaurant to your itinerary. I have recommended it to my colleagues planning trips to Hokkaido. Even when I took my wife's parents there, they were very pleased. Spending 3000 yen per person was definitely worth it. It's hard to travel during the pandemic, but if you have the chance to visit, I highly recommend it.

I saw the restaurant on Jalan and decided to visit because they have herring until March. The location of the restaurant is right next to Zenihama Station, so it's easy to find. I ordered the Herring Set for 1,620 yen, which included sushi, sashimi, simmered fish, and small dishes all featuring herring. The taste was homey and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. I realized that it's important how they enhance the ingredients.

It was my daughter's birthday, so this time we visited Kaisentei, a sushi restaurant with a stunning view of the sea in Otaru Zenihama. We enjoyed delicious sashimi, sushi, and fried dishes. The view from the window on the 3rd floor is breathtaking, so I highly recommend it. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It was my first visit while driving by the seaside. The seafood bowl was neither good nor bad, just average. There are other delicious restaurants around here, like the jumbo dumplings, so I probably won't visit again.

Mini crab and salmon roe bowl for 1200 yen. It was just the right amount, like a small rice bowl. My mother had a mini sea urchin and salmon roe bowl with crab for around 2000 yen. Miso soup was included and it was delicious!
