After a long time, I visited this restaurant. I had the Chicken Nanban set with extra rice! Oh, I'm so full I can't move. I took a break at the cafe next door right away. The side dishes of eggplant, nori with miso, and pickles are doing a great job as supporting roles. The Sawara miso-grilled fish ordered by the customer next to me is huge. I'll try that next time! Thank you for the meal. It was delicious.

After finishing work at Yotsuya, I went to "Senbiru" for a drink. The rustic and lively appearance of "Madomoazeru" caught my eye, which is located in the 4th building, but I have visited the one in the 9th building a few times before. The exterior design of both places is quite similar. I tried asking if they had Sapporo Black Label bottled beer, even though it wasn't on the menu, and they actually had it. I was pleasantly surprised. Since seafood is their specialty, I ordered the bonito tataki for 380 yen, which was thick and generously portioned. The garlic chips and green onions added a nice touch. I also ordered the tonpeiyaki for 430 yen, which was flat and wide, with fluffy egg and strong seasoning. With a solid lineup of dishes, I decided to have some sake. I ordered a 2-go of Ozeki in a tokkuri. I also couldn't resist ordering the tekka maki. With everything in place, I enjoyed the sake and food in a lively yet not too rowdy atmosphere, perfect for working adults. It felt like a casual izakaya for the working crowd, and I liked it.

Located on the B2 floor of the 4th building of Sakaisuji Honmachi Station, this izakaya is quite popular despite the area being filled with wholesalers. They serve lunch at reasonable prices and the menu is extensive. Even on a Saturday close to 2 o'clock, the place was bustling. I tried the katsu-don this time, but the fish dishes looked really delicious. I'll definitely try them next time.

Madomozelu! Right near the super popular udon restaurant. Located on the B2 floor of the Senba Center Building. I gave up waiting in line for udon and impulsively walked in. In that instant, I was guided to a seat and asked what I wanted. Without hesitation, I ordered the ¥750 Niku-Tama set meal that I saw outside. Within 30 seconds of entering, my order arrived in less than 5 minutes. Fast! The sweet and savory sauce is reminiscent of sukiyaki, with a generous amount of meat. In fact, there is a lot of meat. Although my photo quality doesn't do it justice, there is surprisingly a lot of meat. I love places like this in the Senba Center Building that serve set meals.

There is a cafeteria area on the 2nd floor underground of Chuo Dori, lined with 700 yen-inclusive rice restaurants. While wandering without a specific purpose, I came across a restaurant with a wide variety of fish set meals. I entered without high expectations, but it turned out to be a very good restaurant. The portions were generous, the prices were low, and the variety was perfect. A must-visit restaurant for sure.

When it gets warmer, I want to go on a drive to the seaside and eat seafood ❤️ March 2023❗ This is the dining area at the B2 floor of the Senba Center Building 4. I was torn between the incredibly voluminous chicken specialty store, but it seemed like a lot of fried food... I just came from the hospital and my numbers are high, so... I chose this place. The Egg and Beef Hot Pot Set for ¥700 is definitely popular and the main attraction of the restaurant. However... I went with the ⭐ Kamaage Shirasu Bowl for ¥680. Oh no, they put too much soy sauce! Even though my GNP is high... (bitter smile) I was pushed by the cheerful and lively lady to order it... but it's grilled fish, right? ❤️ (bitter smile) Well, now it's about my liver... it's the salt and alcohol, right? Should I also try to lose weight? Salt is bad but tasty ❤️ Bad for the body but tasty ❤️ The shirasu bowl is not good for you ❤️ The miso soup here also seems to have a lot of salt. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal ❤️.

Daily special set meal Madomoazeru @ Sakaisuji Hommachi I was almost becoming a lunch refugee when I spotted the daily special eel bowl on this day. It was close to 1 p.m. and the restaurant was almost full, with lively middle-aged ladies (laughs). After a short wait, my eel bowl arrived. The thinly sliced eel was tender, and there was plenty of rice. Today's lunch was at "Madomo Azel" a seafood and Japanese-style izakaya located in Osaka, Sakaisuji Honmachi at the "Senba Center Building". It's been quite a while since I last visited, maybe a few years? I had the following dish: Oyster Fry Set (700 yen). Oyster fry, a winter specialty that gets tastier as it gets colder. The restaurant has a spacious interior. After 12 o'clock, the customers started pouring in. The veteran waitress was unusually flustered. Soon, my order arrived - a plate of 5 oyster fries. I poured plenty of tartar sauce and dug in. It was delicious, with the perfect amount of crispiness in the batter. Maybe if the oysters were a bit bigger, it would have been even better in December? The side dishes were average. I'm curious about the "Tuna Steak Set" on the lunch menu, which is not commonly seen in other restaurants. The storefront displays various samples. The 8th gourmet spot in Senba Center Building. It's my first review on Tabelog, but like Chanpon Daifutei and Karē Karai Meshi, I used to frequent this place. Whenever I felt like eating fish, I would come here. Feeling nostalgic, I decided to visit after a long time. The variety of the menu, cost performance, and speed of service remain unchanged from the past. I ordered a classic item, which nowadays is rare to find lunch under 600 yen. ・Salted Mackerel: 650 yen Grilled mackerel with grated daikon, raw egg, side dish of burdock, miso soup, and rice. As usual, I made the raw egg into tamago kake gohan. In the past, I would easily finish the tamago kake gohan and get a refill, but now I have to watch my weight due to slow metabolism (^_^;) The size of the mackerel is also a relief for fish lovers, as it's becoming rare to find a set meal with this size of fish due to inflation. Looking at the Senba Center Building website, it says, "The cheapest place in Senba for fresh live fish dishes!!" "... Seafood is delivered directly from Ishinomaki Port in Miyagi, Toyama Port in Toyama Prefecture, and tuna is directly delivered from Ōmagari, excellent freshness!!" I haven't been to Madomoazeru 9th Building, which seems to focus on Shinshu soba, so I'd like to try it out. A restaurant located on the 2nd basement floor of the Funabashi Center Building. Many samples of set meals are displayed in front of the store, all of which are reasonably priced. It seems to be a popular spot among office workers due to its cheap prices and quick turnover. I ordered the service lunch of "yakisoba set meal" for the day. And guess what, it was only 550 yen including tax! Plus, you can get free refills of rice and miso soup. The yakisoba was a bit more like fried udon, but it was still tasty with vegetables and meat in it. The service was good, but it was a shame that they didn't provide wet towels. I wish they had at least paper napkins on the table.

I don't know any shops in Sakaisuji-Honmachi, so I decided to have a light dinner at a place where I could easily catch a train after my first day of training. Hmm... when I searched later, I found that this place has received great reviews for lunch. The service is fast, the prices are cheap, and the flavors are rich. They recommend dishes like donburi. However, in the evening... it was indeed cheap. And at a time when everyone is afraid of COVID-19 infections, the sauce for the kushikatsu came in a nostalgic square dish. I got excited just about that, so I did a pretend dive into the air sauce and had a photo shoot all by myself... After enjoying the photo shoot, I finally used the sauce on the table normally. At some point, I suddenly felt like eating chicken skin, so I ordered it from the part-time girl, telling her to "cook it well." However, it seems my Japanese was difficult to understand, as the order was not processed correctly and I had to wait a long time. When it finally arrived, the chicken skin was very chewy, so I left it and paid the bill. On that day, I ordered: Oolong tea for ¥300, a 5-piece kushikatsu set for ¥550, a 3-piece chicken skin set for ¥300, and a table charge for ¥100. The total came to ¥1375. I think I would have been better off with a convenience store bento... (laughs)

I went to a lunch spot at the Senba Center Building. It's always crowded with office workers, so it seems to be quite popular. I ordered the pork cutlet with egg, which is a dish I often like to order for protein intake. It took a while for them to fry the cutlet and add the egg on top. When it was ready, it looked nice and appetizing. The cutlet was thick and delicious, and the broth was flavorful. It was a satisfying meal, and I ended up finishing every last bite. Overall, it's a cheap and tasty restaurant, and I had a great dining experience.

I went to Madomozel for lunch today, aiming to conquer the Senba Center Building No. 4. Yesterday, I had delicious grilled mackerel for dinner, so I wanted to have a fish-based lunch as well. The restaurant was offering a 100 yen discount on lunch, so I decided to try their mackerel salt-grilled set meal. The meal came with a generous amount of grated radish, and the miso soup was served separately. The mackerel was slightly salty but balanced well with the radish. The rice was delicious, and I also enjoyed a second helping of egg over rice. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

At the end of the month, I arrived late at 14:20 and ordered the oyster fry set meal for ¥750. It came in 5 minutes, which was surprisingly fast. The taste was okay, but it felt like a mass-produced meal. It had egg and you could get free refills of rice, so my stomach was satisfied. However, when two other customers arrived, they asked me to wait at the counter until a seat was available and took away my plate. It felt like they were rushing me to leave. I paid and left. I don't think I will visit this place again.

I visited during lunchtime. Located in the underground of the Senba Center Building, there is a food court with various restaurants. I was craving seafood, so I stopped at this place where many set meal samples were displayed. The restaurant was not crowded as it was past the busy hours. They had a counter for grilling food and about 6 table seats. There was a TV showing news about professional baseball struggling due to the coronavirus. The set meal menu consisted mainly of udon, soba, rice bowls, and also fried dishes like tempura and curry. I ordered the "Healthy Bento" for 900 yen. They told me it would take some time to grill the fish, but it arrived in less than 5 minutes. The bento box included tuna and squid sashimi, mentaiko, fried white fish and shrimp, and grilled mackerel. I expected more vegetables since it was labeled as "healthy." Despite not being cheap, the quality of the sashimi, grilled mackerel, and rice was good, and the portion size was satisfying. Thank you for the meal.

The Big Service 500 Yen Reiwa Service Set is amazing not only in terms of price but also in the menu names, which are very Osaka-like. The outside of the restaurant is filled with meal display items. When someone walks by and looks at the display, a powerful middle-aged female staff member from inside the restaurant enthusiastically invites them to come in and sit at a table, saying, "There's seating available!" This is quite effective in attracting customers. According to my research, about 89% of people who look at the display end up entering the restaurant. I wish they would increase the hourly wage for that middle-aged lady to around 1500 yen - she has a special talent. Despite being located in the business district of Honmachi, the restaurant is bustling even on Saturdays. By the way, the lunch menu is not displayed inside the restaurant, so make sure to check the display outside before entering. I was able to pay with PayPay.

I casually dropped by around 2pm on a weekday. They serve set meals until close to 4pm. I had the mackerel set meal for 680 yen. The food comes out quickly. It comes with raw egg, miso soup, pickles, and mixed beans, so it's quite filling. The grated daikon radish is refreshing, and the mackerel is delicious! It's a comforting set meal. They also serve set meals even late in the day, so it's convenient. It was a hearty and homey set meal with generous portions. Thank you for the meal.

Sakaisuji Line Sakaisuji-Honmachi Station, located in the basement of the Senba Center Building No. 4, is a great place for lunch. The food is average overall, but there is one exceptional dish - the famous grilled mackerel set meal for 650 yen (tax included). The mackerel is thick and juicy with a perfect amount of salt. It's a great deal for the price. After a week of endless meat-filled dinners, it's nice to have a healthy lunch option like this. The fried food may not be the best, but the grilled mackerel is absolutely delicious at this restaurant.
