A few minutes from Akasaka Station on the Fukuoka subway. On my visit, I was thinking about what souvenir to get, and I was advised to get cube castella. I found a branch of the famous Fuku Sandaya shop, and bought a box of 10 for 2,700 yen (tax included). It's for home use, so it came in a recommended vinyl bag. It is always bustling with people as it is situated in a corner of Fukuoka's bustling district. This shop is a long-established store of Nagasaki Castella, known for its unique baking method that leaves sugar crystals at the bottom of the Castella. There are other famous Nagasaki Castella shops, but in my opinion, this shop is the best. Nagasaki Castella from this shop makes a great gift that will surely be appreciated.
