Today, the usual bread I buy was sold out, so I tried another popular bread called "Meihouge". They also had walnut bread, Danish rolls, and red bean paste buns. I recently found out that my favorite bakery also has a store in Tennoji. I don't visit the one in MIO Plaza building much. I used to have coffee in the morning, but I stopped last fall. I still crave it though. I pay with PayPay at the bakery. When I said there was no signal, the staff kindly told me, "It's hard to get signal here. You can catch it if you go outside." So I hurried outside with my phone and got the signal near the door. I tried a German pastry called "Mandel Eck" that I had been eyeing. It was heavy when I picked it up. It was a bit sticky when I bit into it. It was crispy and sweet. Oh no! I had been thinking of cutting back on sweets for a while, but I ended up eating it. Oh well, it was delicious, so just for today, it's okay.

When I used to work at OIOI, a new bakery opened in the basement. I often bought bread there to take home. I've always been a fan of having bread for breakfast. Nowadays, I try to be trendy with smoothies and such, but I still love my bread. The Deluxe Sliced Bread, 5 slices for 300 yen, is my favorite. It's best when toasted. I felt like going out somewhere on my day off. How about visiting Shitennoji Temple? On the way back, I noticed a bakery at the station and decided to visit. I used to use Tennoji Station when I was a student, but it has changed a lot. The bakery had a lot of bread varieties! Which one should I choose? There were red bean buns in the case. Is that where the name "Kokoro ni Amai Anpan-ya" comes from? I love chestnuts, so I decided on a chestnut bun. I was also drawn to a bread with cream and almonds on top. I ordered a green tea with the chestnut bun. It was small and easy to eat. It may not be all chestnuts based on the price, but I could taste the chestnuts in the filling. I also tasted a sweet bread with cream filling. The cream was delicious! I wanted to eat more, but I had to resist because I wouldn't have room for dinner. For breakfast, I had a croque-monsieur-style bread with potatoes, cheese, and mayonnaise. It was simply delicious. The bread with egg salad was perfect for breakfast too. The total cost for four items was 766 yen, which was very reasonable. If this bakery had been around when I was a student, I would have definitely been a regular customer. Thank you for the meal!

Custard-san used to go there often, but for some reason hadn't been going recently. I went there thinking of getting a chicken and burdock sandwich (but ended up not buying it, haha). I really like the hot sandwich with coarse ground meat and tomato cream for 260 yen, so I end up buying it quite frequently. It's packed with meat sauce and very satisfying to eat. The fig and black sugar (black syrup?) bread has a unique style. The fig bread is usually on the harder side, but this one has a chewy steamed bread-like texture that is really delicious. I like it. I've been hooked on their canelé recently. Custard-san's canelé doesn't seem to use rum. It's a sweet canelé that even kids can enjoy. I bought the raisin oatmeal cookie as a snack for the late afternoon when I get a little hungry. It's a fairly large size and moist. The oatmeal provides a nice chewiness, and I feel satisfied even with just half of it. I like this. I'll definitely buy it again.

I was taken to a bakery that has a delicious red bean paste bun shop inside. There used to be a showcase of red bean buns outside the shop, near where the panda is, but now it has been moved inside the "Cuscad" store. There is a sign with an arrow saying "Selling red bean buns inside" as well. The shop offers a variety of small red bean buns like Kimuraya. They all look so tempting! The bread was displayed in glass-door shelves, possibly for COVID-19 measures. Half of the shop is for bread sales, and the other half is for dining in. I had coffee for ¥260 (excluding tax) and a baguette sandwich for ¥310 (excluding tax) for lunch. The coffee was light and refreshing. The sandwich had three fillings: egg salad, tomato and ham, and tuna salad. The baguette was crispy on the outside and soft inside, very tasty. I also bought three types of red bean buns from "Selling red bean buns inside" for ¥130-170 each: classic red bean, black bean with large sweet beans mixed in the dough, and chestnut with cashew nuts on top. The chestnut with cashew nuts was a seasonal item and had a great flavor with the crunchy nuts inside the chestnut paste. I also bought a Taiwanese castella cake, which unfortunately got flipped over in the bag when I got home. The surface stuck to the bag, but the cake was still fluffy, moist, and delicious. I would definitely go back for more.

I visited 'CASCADE' for the first time to get a takeout in Tennoji, imagining a scenario where the train stopped due to heavy rain. There were about 15 takeout customers on a weekday evening, with around 5 dine-in customers. The store is located in the Tennoji MIO shopping mall, a busy area due to the subway and JR train transfer, with all 4 cash registers busy serving customers. I purchased the following items: 1) Salted Butter and Homemade Condensed Milk for 173 yen - The balance of saltiness and sweetness was excellent. The staff recommended enjoying it on the same day, and I agree that it's best fresh! 2) Red Bean Paste and Butter for 184 yen - Mixing red bean paste and butter together, would French people understand this? Japanese people are truly passionate about delicious food, and this item with the perfect combination of butter and red bean paste has a satisfying texture. 3) Hot Sandwich with Coarsely Ground Meat and Tomato Cream for 280 yen - I had it toasted, and it was surprisingly delicious! My favorite item. Some said it was delicious even without toasting. I was recommended the Hankyu 3rd Avenue store by a senior at work, so I'm glad I could try it out. Considering the price and taste, I think this bakery in Osaka offers high satisfaction. All three items were delicious, so I'm happy with my experience. My favorite chain bakery is "Cascad San". I didn't know they had one in Tennoji. I decided to have lunch here in front of the hospital! It's reasonable and filling. But today I'll go for something lighter. I had an iced milk tea for my drink. I can't remember the name, but the ham, cheddar cheese, and onion sandwich was delicious. And this bread with a chocolate coating on top of the salt bread was also good, although the chocolate was a bit hard to eat as it crumbled with every bite. But the taste was great. In the contact passage of Tennoji MIO, there is "Cascad" cafe. The cafe space is spacious, but I don't have much time, so I'll buy some bread to take home. ★Fuji Apple Pie 195 yen including tax ★Molt Walnut Bread 184 yen. I had one Fuji Apple Pie because I had it at Cascad in Umeda and it was really delicious! They put it in a case properly, so the pie crust is still nice and crispy. I'm happy (^-^) If you microwave it for 10 seconds or lightly reheat it in a toaster, the pie crust becomes crispy! The buttery aroma and the sweet and sour apple are delicious! The pie crust is light and the balance is very good. Apple pie is still my favorite at Cascad. The Molt Walnut Bread has a moist dough with plenty of walnuts as an accent. I also like the slightly sweet taste. It goes well as a side dish with a meal (^-^) The bread I always end up buying at Cascad. I didn't know you could freeze it. I might try it next time.

I decided to stop by this bakery while shopping nearby for an eat-in experience! I ordered a Bacon and Mozzarella Cheese Sandwich for 230 yen, and a freshly ground blend coffee for 260 yen. The blend coffee was served freshly ground, and I took my bread and number tag to an open seat. Although there are some 4-person seats, most are for 2 people. I made sure to watch out for the acrylic dividers and enjoyed my coffee while waiting for my sandwich. The Bacon and Mozzarella Cheese Sandwich was made with a multi-grain bread filled with thin slices of bacon and mozzarella cheese, a perfect combination that was absolutely delicious! The coffee was aromatic and delicious, thanks to being freshly ground. It was nice to see that this bakery pays attention to their coffee as well, making it a great spot for coffee lovers. I would definitely like to visit again when I'm in the area. Thank you for the meal!

Kobe-originated popular bakery with a surprisingly long history dating back to 1961. With 16 stores in Kobe, Osaka, and Kyoto, including one in the Namba Food Street in Umeda, this bakery, known as "Kokoro ni Amai Anpanya," also operates the "Gokou Shichifuku" bakery in Nishinomiya Kitaguchi. Whenever I take the subway to Tennoji, I always end up stopping by this bakery because all the bread looks so delicious and I can never decide what to buy. In the end, I always end up making a purchase.

I bought some bread on my way back from Tennoji. Recently, it seems like there are more and more sweet bread options available. Among them, I bought two types of scones, whole grain bread, and a Kouign-Amann. The scones are quite large in size. The fact that they are not too sweet is what I like the most. Eating them for breakfast instead of tea time makes me feel quite stylish. The whole grain bread, along with walnut bread, is a staple that I often buy. It has a distinct taste of wheat and brown rice, with just the right amount of sweetness. The Kouign-Amann bread is like a cross between a pastry and a baked good. The buttery Danish-style dough is not fluffy but rather firm, which adds to its deliciousness. It's no wonder this is my favorite bakery among chain stores.

There was also a Cascard bakery at MIO in Tennoji Station. It is a bakery with its main store in Kobe. In my memory, the oldest bakery is Cascard. When I was a child, a Cascard opened near a nearby station. The Western-style bakery felt very modern and unusual. Even now, I wonder if they still exist. I used to love their mini French bread, which was smaller than a tennis ball and cost only 10 yen each. Oh, so I've loved French bread since those days. It's almost closing time, but let's buy a few things to take home. I got a curry bun. They put it in a paper bag and then in a plastic bag. I see, by doing this, the fried curry bun won't get sticky because the oil will be absorbed by the paper bag. I'll warm it up in the microwave. The bread dough is very fluffy. Sometimes I come across curry buns with this kind of dough, and it makes me very happy. I also got a cream bun. I'll warm this up in the microwave for about 20 seconds. The cream gets warm, and it's really good.

Adjacent to the sweet Anpan shop in my heart, is this place. It seems that the payment can be combined, so I wonder if they are the same shop but with different names? My son loves chocolate, so I picked out some chocolate bread and milk bread that he would enjoy. As for me, I chose my favorite cranberry and cream cheese bread. It's quite hard, but incredibly delicious.

There is a bakery located in the basement of MIO at Abeno Bridge that is open from morning. You can also eat inside the store, making it a perfect place to relax in the morning. Personally, I recommend the financiers and piroshki. The piroshki is full of filling and quite satisfying. The financiers are very sweet and go well with tea.

In October, when we visit Tennoji MIO, we often shop at "Kaldi Coffee Farm". There's a new bakery that opened next to "Kaldi" called "Kokoro ni Amai Anpan-ya" and "Cascade". They are both part of the same group. "Cascade" has a dining area, so let's try that today. There were many delicious-looking breads. I want a sandwich, while Chibitsunu wants a sweet bread. Chibitsunu chose a pumpkin-shaped bread with pumpkin filling inside. There were also cute ghost-shaped breads. I had a sandwich with tonkatsu, which was great because I could try different flavors. We both had iced coffee. It's convenient to have a place to dine in. The bread was delicious, so we'll definitely come back again! Chibitsunu agrees.

Had a morning at Cuscad with some delicious bread. I couldn't decide between the sandwich and the tart, but ended up choosing the edamame cheese bread and melon bread. I had them in the store and they were so good! They have a toaster and microwave for customers to use, so the bread was warm and fresh. The edamame bread was soft and fluffy after microwaving, while the melon bread was slightly crispy after toasting. Oh, this is definitely a perfect match with milk! It was a luxurious bakery morning. MiO, although most shops are closed now, the bakery was open. I bought some pastries to take home. You can also eat in at the shop. They have a lot of European hard bread, but I prefer sweet pastries, so I often buy sweet treats like matcha red bean bread, cheesecake, and crème brûlée. They are all priced around 100 to 200 yen, so it's easy to buy for snacks or breakfast. I haven't tried their homemade cream bread yet, so I want to buy that next time!
