About 20 years ago, I used to work nearby and my boss would often invite me to go to this restaurant called "〇〇-kun". However, I never ended up going because back in those days, I preferred fancy restaurants. Now, I find the charm in the simplicity of this place. First, let me point out a few negatives. The sauce didn't quite suit my taste. It's a matter of preference, but I like a bit of sweetness and a fruity touch would be nice. Smoking is allowed. While some may see this as a pro, I can't imagine wanting to eat while smelling cigarette smoke. I would prefer if it were non-smoking. The charcoal grill is weak. The meat ends up overcooked while waiting for the nice charred texture. Those are the negatives. Overall, I was very satisfied. The staff provided just the right amount of support for a comfortable dining experience. The meat was flavorful and juicy. It may not be refined, but it's bold and delicious in a rough and hearty way. As strange as it sounds, I feel like I'm saying something clever (*´꒳`*) I usually order beer in bottles if available. Bottles have more volume, haha. Also, poorly poured beer doesn't taste good. I'm quite picky about the pouring method, having received the title of a draft master from a certain beer company. The draft beer here had a creamy foam and a good ratio. It was poured by a young female staff member, and I would like to give her top marks. It was really delicious. For the first order, we had a mixed grill and a mixed offal platter. The mixed grill had a perfect texture and just the right amount of fat, making it delicious. As I've gotten older, too much fat can be overwhelming for me. However, when we ordered the premium harami as an extra, it was incredibly delicious. The mixed offal platter had a variety of cuts, allowing us to enjoy different flavors. Ordering a platter is great because you get to try cuts that you wouldn't order individually. Personally, I'm not a fan of tripe. This is not a negative point, just a personal preference. Everything else was delicious. Although it wasn't listed, there was a type of meat that seemed like tripe in the platter. It was thin but had a nice chewy texture and was tasty. Ordering an extra harami and kalbi platter allowed us to try the meat before ordering, which was great. However, the additional kalbi had too much fat. The harami was excellent. Adding the premium harami was a great choice. It was the most delicious meat of the day. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Namboku-en, a small restaurant that I had been wanting to try for a while. The place has about 10 seats at the counter. I tried the top sirloin, top salted tongue, and top harami (each priced at 2,050 yen) and they were all delicious. The meat was cut unevenly but the taste was amazing. The kimchi was also tasty, and I couldn't resist having some rice as well. The restaurant may feel a bit warm with no air conditioning, but the taste is definitely worth it.

Nanba Minamiichien in Namba was a great place for solo yakiniku dining. The first floor had a counter, while the second floor had seats for multiple people. I chose to sit at the counter. What was great was that almost all menu items had a "small" option available, which was a nice touch. For reference, the regular size was 100g, while the small size was 60g. I started grilling the meat on the shichirin (charcoal grill) in front of me. On this day, I had the upper harami, upper loin, upper tongue, salted tripe, and raw liver. The standout for me was the tongue. When it arrived, it looked a bit discolored, which made me hesitate, but once I grilled and tasted it, it was surprisingly delicious. The tongue was cut quite large compared to the usual, with a good thickness that provided a new sensation in my mouth. Paired with the salty sauce, it was a delight to savor. The upper loin was also good, with a nice thickness that allowed for a great combination of fat and juices. While I usually think the effect of charcoal in grilling meat is overrated, I reconsidered while enjoying the upper loin. On the other hand, the upper tongue with salt was just average. It wasn't bad, but compared to the other meats, it fell short. You might consider skipping it and focusing on the other meats instead. I was drawn in by the atmosphere, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the restaurant. It was a fantastic lunch yakiniku experience.

Nanba's most famous restaurant for yakiniku is Naniwaen. It's perfect for those who love charcoal-grilled meat. The menu may seem a bit pricey with items like raw intestines, but the portion size makes it worth it. And the sauce is so delicious! Whether dining alone or in a large group, this place is very convenient to use.

"Hey! I'm craving some horumon (offal)!" With that in mind, I decided to visit this place after a long time. The meat menu offers 100g per serving, with a smaller option of 60g, and a combination platter. The prices may be a bit high for horumon, though. The meat ordered is served on a silver plate, generously coated in a special sauce. The interior of the restaurant is quite crowded, with no clear boundaries between tables. They will squeeze in more chairs as it gets busier. The clientele mainly consists of solo male diners, but there are also many couples with a significant age gap for some reason. I tried the raw liver (small) for 680 yen, dipped in sesame-flavored sauce. It was delicious and fresh, with a nice chewiness. I also had the upper mino (small) for 780 yen and urute (small) for 680 yen, both cooked to juicy perfection over charcoal. Coated in sauce and savored, the texture was amazing. It's a different kind of deliciousness compared to cooking on a gas stove. A large bottle of beer costs 700 yen. The menu prices are all inclusive of tax. Thanks for the meal!"

After watching it on YouTube, I would say my visit to the restaurant was a one-time thing. The price was reasonable and the quality of the meat was good, but it was just an average place that is popular. The sauce was delicious, and they had a spicy sauce similar to Karajan on the table. You can request fresh garlic for an extra 100 yen, and buying green chili peppers can make the sauce even better. However, the staff was not very impressive.

This is a restaurant located across from the Bic Camera Namba store in the Namba Center Gai shopping street. I stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to eat during some free time. The enticing smell of grilled meat and the rising smoke from the charcoal grill in front of the shop immediately drew me in. The first floor has only counter seats, giving it a deep and authentic feel. I was lucky to find a seat right away in front of the charcoal grill. The restaurant seemed quite popular as customers kept coming in. I started with a draft beer, served in a stainless steel glass that kept the beer cold for a long time. I ordered the Yakiniku Assortment set, which included a good mix of cuts like loin, kalbi, and harami. Each cut was nicely marbled, especially the loin and kalbi. The harami was a thick cut of red meat, offering a satisfying bite. Grilling the meat over charcoal enhanced its flavor even more. The marinade was slightly sweet and savory, complementing the meat well. I also ordered Namul, Kimchi, and a small portion of egg soup to accompany my meal. The Namul had a simple and rustic flavor, while the Kimchi was not too spicy and easy to eat. The egg soup was a nice finish to the meal, with a fluffy texture and rich taste. The set meal was filling and satisfying, with good value for money. I left the restaurant feeling content and would consider coming back again. Thank you for the meal.

In Minami, there is a popular yakiniku restaurant called Minami Ichien on Minami Street that is open for lunch. While Tanpei is the most famous yakiniku restaurant in Minami that is open for lunch, Minami Ichien offers slightly lower prices with set menus available. I ordered the yakiniku set for 2280 yen. One thing I really like about this place is that their sauce is miso-based. Another famous restaurant known for miso-based sauce is Sairai in Zaura. Miso sauce goes well with rice, making it perfect for lunch yakiniku. Unfortunately, Sairai doesn't open for lunch, but Minami Ichien does, which is convenient. They also offer a generous portion of Namul for 500 yen. Just be aware that the lunch yakiniku is charcoal-grilled, so the smell might stick to your clothes.

I visited the yakiniku restaurant "Nan'ichien" near Namba Station. I casually walked in and found a traditional restaurant with only a counter. They use shichirin charcoal grills, which is a common style in Osaka. It may be a bit intimidating to enter, but it was quite good. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious.

This time, the order is just reversed from last time. We had a pretty substantial meal at the second place. We had a bottle of Asahi Super Dry beer for 650 yen, a Black Kirishima on the rocks for 500 yen, Ulte for 800 yen, Akasen for 800 yen, Harami for 1080 yen, Oikimchi for 380 yen, Senmai (small) for 480 yen, Mino (small) for 480 yen, and Kimchi for 380 yen.

In March, the atmosphere of self-restraint is increasing more and more in society... I have been going to the dentist since the end of last year, and I have been enduring not eating what I want for a long time, but finally, my dental treatment has come to an end. I went to have dinner in Namba, Osaka, for the first time in a long time, and I had a strong craving for "yakiniku horumon"! I knew about this long-established yakiniku restaurant called "Nanichi-en", so out of curiosity, I had dinner there. When I entered the restaurant, it was small and had a nostalgic Showa-era yakiniku restaurant atmosphere that I liked! Since it's charcoal-grilled yakiniku, there was quite a bit of smoke billowing. However, it seems like there are many regular customers because everyone was enjoying a tremendous amount of yakiniku very deliciously. A seat opened up right in front of the entrance, so I sat down and looked at the menu. The popular "yakiniku set" and "horumon assorted platter" seemed like good deals! I ordered the "horumon assorted platter" (1,580 yen including tax), "large bowl of rice" (300 yen including tax), and "large beer" (650 yen including tax). About 5 minutes later, all the items arrived promptly. First, I poured the ice-cold beer into a glass and thought, "Ah! This beer I have after finishing work really brings me back to life!" I tried a bit of the yakiniku sauce with chopped green onions, and it had a mild acidity and a savory soy sauce base that was comforting! I added some grated garlic and gochujang to make it my preferred taste. 1. "Horumon assorted platter" [Appearance] The horumon looked fresh at first glance! Each piece was a bit small, but it included various types of horumon like mino, akasen, tecchan, torotecchan, heart, mame, urute, and senmai, making it very luxurious! You can enjoy various types of horumon, and it's a perfect amount for solo yakiniku. I placed half of the horumon on the grill, and since it was charcoal-grilled, I focused on grilling it carefully! After about 5 minutes, it was ready to eat. [Favorite horumon] After trying all the horumon, here is my ranking of favorites: 1st place: "Torotecchan" 2nd place: "Tecchan" The fatty torotecchan with a crispy outer layer matched well with the yakiniku sauce, and placing it on top of the Niigata Koshihikari rice, which was glossy and cooked beautifully, to eat "torotecchan on the rice" made the sweetness and umami of the rice stand out even more, exploding with deliciousness! The tecchan, which had no fat, was very tender and juicy, making it delicious! 3rd place: "Mino" The thickness of the mino was quite significant, but the tender texture and chewy sensation were very pleasant, and it went very well with beer. 4th place: "Kimo" The kimo was also delicious! The melt-in-your-mouth texture and umami of the kimo were excellent, especially when eaten with "kimo on the rice" and washed down with beer. 5th place: "Urute" It had a very delicate knife work, and the soft and chewy texture of the esophagus cartilage was very comforting, making it a great taste to accompany beer. The other horumon like "akasen," "mame," "senmai," etc., were also fresh! The horumon, grilled to be juicy and flavorful without losing the meat juices, was really delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the "horumon on the rice" and finished with a gulp of beer. [Overall evaluation] This time, I had the "horumon" platter here, and it was a delightful experience. The various types of horumon were all fresh and tasty, and the flavors were well-balanced. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy, and the service was friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying yakiniku experience!

I don't remember the details, but I have notes and pictures. I ordered the premium yakiniku set and the regular yakiniku set on December 4th. I thought the premium set had better value for money. The meat was juicy and delicious. It's a counter-style restaurant that is easy to visit alone. I heard the oxtail soup is also delicious, but this time I only had the meat. I would like to visit again.

<Osaka Business Trip Meal> After finishing my business trip, I went to eat horumon in Namba. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere both outside and inside. The horumon platter was delicious with every cut being top quality. I especially enjoyed the freshness of the senmai (pork intestine) sashimi. The prices were a bit on the high side, but overall, I was satisfied. Thank you for the meal.
