The whipped cream here is not too sweet, but very smooth and has a taste that brings happiness. When I lived nearby, we always chose their strawberry whole cake for family birthdays. Even though I have moved away, I went to buy one today after a long time. I am looking forward to enjoying it with my family tonight.

I visited this shop as part of the "far from the station" series. You really need a bike to get there. I bought two types of madeleines here: matcha butter and earl grey butter. There was a difference in preference between us on which one was better. I personally thought the matcha butter was delicious, but my wife said the earl grey butter was better. Both were tasty, but I didn't expect our preferences to be so different. Well, they were both delicious so it was good.

This time, I bought a shortcake for my wife's ◯◯th birthday. We usually reserve a whole cake for our children's birthdays or Christmas, but we don't do that for my wife's or my birthdays. When it comes to cakes, I can only eat chocolate, so our whole cakes at home are always chocolate. I went to buy the cake with my two sons, and I got a chocolate cake for myself, a strawberry shortcake for my sons, and a matcha cake for my wife. Each cake had a lovely name, but it's impossible for us, the hopeless father-son trio, to remember them f^_^; After dinner, the four of us enjoyed the cake together. My sons sang a Happy Birthday song to their mother, but they were surprisingly tone-deaf, just like me. After my wife endured a birthday song that sounded like Gian's recital, we all enjoyed the cake. The cake was as delicious as ever ^ ^ We will continue to rely on them for our family's birthdays and Christmas in the future.

<November 2016> This week, we celebrated the birthday of our eldest son, who turned 15, by enjoying his birthday cake on the weekend night. As teenagers grow older, they don't seem to appreciate being celebrated by their parents as much. But the birthday cake from Atelier Fraicheur always brings joy to our son. It was a brief but enjoyable moment after dinner. As always, it was very delicious. <May 2016> Our youngest son also turned 8, and we decided to have his birthday cake on the following Saturday since his birthday was on a weekday. Of course, we reserved the cake from our favorite bakery, Atelier Fraicheur. When we picked up the cake, we found out that the owner-chef had changed. The previous owner's wife, who used to greet us with a smile, now only visits for special occasions like Christmas. The birthday cake we had this time seemed to have a slight difference in taste, but it still maintained the deliciousness and pleasant atmosphere that we love about this place. We look forward to continuing our tradition of visiting three times a year for birthdays and Christmas. <December 2015> On Christmas Eve, unsure of when I would return home from work, I pre-ordered a cake for December 23rd. I don't like white cream, so I ordered a Gateau Chocolat this time. As always, it was delicious and made our children very happy. The delicious cake made our early Christmas enjoyable. <May 2015> It has been about 14 years since we discovered this bakery, and it has become our favorite place. Although we don't usually eat cake, we order three times a year – for our eldest son's birthday, our youngest son's birthday, and Christmas. We always order a chocolate cake, and this time it was for our youngest son's birthday. The cake was beautifully made and delicious as always. The staff always treat us kindly, and this time they even gave us 6 macarons as a bonus. We appreciate the excellent service and the consistently delicious cakes from this bakery. We look forward to continuing to visit three times a year.

Visited the store around 11 am on Sunday. Unfortunately, the cream puffs were already sold out, as there was nothing in their place. I tried the Chocolate Cake (399 yen) which was supposed to be moist and rich because of the name "chocolate." However, it was dry and the chocolate was just average. It would have been better if there was some chocolate on top of the whipped cream. I also had the Triple Chocolate Cake (380 yen) which had three layers, but it didn't have any standout features. Overall, I didn't find the flavors very impressive. I haven't tried their famous Strawberry Shortcake, so I can't say much about their desserts, but it seems like chocolate might not be their specialty. Perhaps my expectations were too high. The young staff member (who seemed like a pastry chef) was not very good at customer service. Thank you for the meal.

For some reason, I have been visiting cake shops a lot lately (laughs). This shop, with the French flag as a landmark, is located on the opposite side of the road from Hankyu Oasis. I had tried their chocolate chiffon cake before, but I hadn't reviewed it, so this time I bought a whole cake for 1412 yen. It looked delicious with a thick layer. The topping included small chocolate pieces and orange. Chocolate and orange go well together, right? The bitterness of the cocoa on the surface was nice. And it was fluffy. The whipped cream was not too sweet, but refreshing. Hmm, I didn't remember it leaving such an impression on me when I tried it before. It was delicious. I would like to try other cakes from there again. They also have a variety of baked goods available. Thank you for the meal!

The convenient Toyonaka Suita Line leads to the Kanzane Line in the west, which is a local road in Toyonaka. The shop is located across the street from Nissho. It is a casual cake shop where local residents visit on their bicycles. It is quite far from Hattori Station, so it would be a bit of a trek to walk there. I visited on a Saturday afternoon. There is a forecast for a once-in-a-decade cold wave approaching. There were only a few cakes left in the showcase, with 2 or 3 pieces of each remaining. There were no staff members present, and the chef himself was behind the counter. You can see the kitchen through the glass, but there was no one there. As I was looking at the tarts, I happened to notice a sign for "Freshly Baked Red Apple Pie" made with Shinshu red apples. Red apples are known for their tartness, and according to Oishinbo, they are essential for making apple pie. The words "freshly baked" were irresistible. "We intentionally left the lid open because it's still hot." I purchased a quarter of a ¥1500 whole pie. The top layer was crispy but not hard, retaining some elasticity. The pie crust was crispy and moist at the same time. The apples were half-melted, with a balanced tartness that complemented the crust. The buttery flavor of the crust was also delightful. Despite its remote location, the apple pie is definitely worth trying.

We had a small gathering at Sushidokoro Ihara and later enjoyed cakes from Atelier Fraicheur at home. The shop is located in Toyonaka City, but their cakes are also sold at the Hankyu Sapie Nissei Chuo Western-style restaurant. We bought 8 cakes ranging from 350 to 380 yen each. They were all elegant and artistic, making it hard to choose which one to eat! Before diving into the cakes, I taught my younger son about wine. My husband opened a bottle of red wine from the cellar. We enjoyed wine with shortcake (my brother and his wife, and us), while my niece had cake and tea since she was driving. My older son made banana juice for the little one and kept him entertained with a "Toy Story" DVD. It was a delightful time with my brother's family. Yesterday, my brother sent us a high-quality wine as a thank you gift.

After having lunch at Zenigata on December 12, 2010, we headed to Atelier Fleur for dessert. The owner and pastry chef, Chef Okamoto, honed his skills at the Hotel Hankyu International Plaza Hotel. The shop is located on the 1st floor of the Sunward Midori building, with a stylish tile and glass exterior. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting, with a showcase of cakes and a shelf of baked goods. We chose the Mont Blanc, Trois Chocolat, and Choux Cream cakes to try. The Mont Blanc had a layered structure with chestnut cream, custard, candied chestnuts, and sponge cake. The Trois Chocolat cake had layers of cream and chocolate sponge. The Choux Cream was a cream puff with a flaky pastry and rich custard. We also got to try a cut of the Cow Cow Roll cake, which had a soft sponge and a milk pudding center. Overall, the desserts were more on the Japanese-style side, with a focus on being universally appealing rather than bold flavors. It may not satisfy those looking for rich French-style cakes, but it is a top-tier cake shop in general. It's worth a try, despite being a bit out of the way to get to.

I visited the store on a Sunday morning. I heard from my companion that the cream puffs here are delicious, so I came specifically for them. In addition to cream puffs, there were various cakes displayed, and I bought two cakes as well. The cream puff (190 yen) had a hand-woven pie crust with nuts sprinkled on top. The buttery crust was crispy and fragrant, and the generous amount of cream had a good vanilla and egg yolk flavor, with just the right amount of sweetness. It was also quite filling. The Caramel and Banana cake (380 yen) had a caramel mousse with a hint of banana fruit inside. The bottom layer had a hint of liquor. I felt it could have had a bit more caramel flavor. The taste was light. The Matcha Mousse cake (380 yen) had layers of sponge and mousse, with red beans and green beans (?) at the bottom. The matcha flavor was quite prominent in the mousse. It had a sweet taste. I prefer a bit more bitterness in matcha and less sweetness. Overall, the cream puff was delicious with a generous amount of filling, but the cakes I tried were quite ordinary and lacked a punch.

A must-try is their cream puffs, which sell out quickly due to their high quality and affordable price. Customers come from far and wide for these handcrafted treats. While the appearance of the pie-shaped puffs may not be perfect, it is a testament to their handmade quality. The texture is creamy and smooth. Chef's recommendations include the Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake and the Mango Chocolate Cake, which expertly balances the sweetness and acidity of the mango.

Cream puffs are definitely delicious. They cost around 190 yen each, but the cost performance is good. They have a good volume and the cream is delicious. I have repeated purchases multiple times. However, the other cakes lack uniqueness. They look beautiful, but I don't have any strong memories of them being either delicious or not delicious. They are forgettable cakes. In my case, I only repurchase the cream puffs, which is just right for me. One thing to note is that, while I understand that they may be busy, there are some aspects of the customer service that I find concerning. When I left without buying anything because I didn't see what I wanted, the attitude of the person who seemed to be the owner drastically changed. It was a bit off-putting.
