On this day, I drove to the southern part of Osaka for work. After finishing my errands and heading back to the city, I stopped by this restaurant called "Santen Izumisano Tsuruhara Store" for lunch. Lately, I've been seeing Santen's tempura restaurants along major roads more often. They offer great value for money, making it easy to enjoy tempura. While there are similar chain restaurants in the Kanto region, Santen seems to be gaining popularity in Kansai. I ordered the "Shanghai Tempura Set Meal for 790 yen" that came with 3 shrimp tempura, 3 vegetable tempura, and an egg tempura, providing a satisfying amount of food for a reasonable price. The tempura soybean rice bowl includes tempura soybeans, asparagus, baby corn, cherry tomatoes, and shrimp tempura. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, I have been seeing this shop a lot in various places. It seems to have a large chain presence, and each location seems to have a decent amount of customers. When it first opened in Kishiwada, it was always crowded, so I would wait for it to calm down before going. But lately, there are too many locations and they all seem to have a decent amount of business. Using the ticket machine is convenient because you don't have to interact with anyone, but it can be a bit challenging when there are people waiting behind you and you feel rushed to make a decision. The taste is consistent and the food is crispy. The ingredients themselves are not the best quality, but at this price point, it's not a problem. I particularly like the seasoning sprinkled on top. I will definitely come back again.

They offer takeout at reasonable prices. One of their limited winter menu items is the "Snow Crab and Scallop Seafood Tempura Bowl" priced at 690 yen including tax. It gives a premium feel by using scallops and snow crab. The quality is decent considering the price, but the lotus root could have been a bit crunchier.
