I was invited by a friend to try out a stylish Korean restaurant in Honmachi, so I decided to go. The restaurant is located further west from Honmachi Station on the Yotsubashi Line, along Honmachi Street, south of Utsubo Park. It's a bit hidden at the back of an apartment entrance, so it may be a little hard to find. The interior of the restaurant has a stylish feel with white as the main color. It seems like a place that women would enjoy! [Menu Ordered] - Champon Nabe The dish was cooked by a female staff member. It had various cuts of pork and plenty of vegetables. The seasoning was just right, not too spicy. The udon for the finale was delicious too! - Pork Kalbi Jjim It had a sweet seasoning. It makes you want to have rice! The meat easily comes off the bone. I even chewed on the bones (lol). - Seafood Jeon It was cut like a pizza, which is rare for jeon. It's a Korean-style pizza with shrimp, which got me excited. I also ordered various other dishes like Japchae, Kimchi, etc., and everything was delicious. I also ordered a Korean pomegranate chu-hai, which was unique. The color and sweetness were good, and it seems like something women would enjoy. The female staff all had smooth skin. I wonder if Korean cuisine is good for the skin? The portions were quite generous, so I think even men would be satisfied. It's stylish, and I think women would be delighted if you take them there (^_-)≡★ Thank you for the meal!

Today, I had Korean cuisine for lunch at Hyang-san. I ordered the Sundubu jjigae with hormone for 900 yen. This restaurant offers a side dish buffet with unlimited rice. The buffet includes lotus root, boiled cabbage, potatoes, harusame, and kimchi. The side dishes are all Korean-flavored and taste delicious. The main dish arrived in about 5 minutes - a hot Sundubu jjigae pot. It contains tofu, green onions, and hormone. It's not very spicy, but it made me sweat from my head and face because it was so hot. At first, I thought the flavor was a bit weak, but as I continued eating, I realized how delicious the jjigae soup was. I had seconds of rice and side dishes, and it was a very satisfying lunch. Thank you for the meal.

I usually visit this place around Tsukiji. The atmosphere with Korean language being spoken all around creates a wonderful foreign feeling. There was a change in ownership at one point, and the taste and service declined for a while, causing me to stay away. However, the taste has improved again and is closer to what it used to be, so I am a regular customer now. It's heartwarming to see the staff trying their best to communicate in Japanese. I always look forward to the Sundubu jjigae lunch. If you go after 1 pm, you get a free coffee. One of the attractions is the buffet-style lunch where you can freely choose from various side dishes like jeon and banchan. Perhaps the high number of female customers is due to the many handsome staff members. Lunch: Sundubu jjigae with ramen topping. Likelihood of revisiting: 80%. Number of visits: 5 times. Level of spiciness: Not too much. *Please note that this is just my personal opinion and I have not confirmed it with the restaurant.

I had the Spicy Sundubu (with egg). It looked very spicy, but it wasn't actually that spicy and was easy to eat. It was delicious.

I went to the Korean restaurant Hyang, which is a favorite of my company's boss. It is located near Naniwa-suji on Honmachi Street, with a beautiful exterior and interior. All the staff are Korean women. I tried the winter limited Oyster Sundubu for 1200 yen. Lunch is 100 yen off. While waiting for the Sundubu to be ready, I had some Makgeolli. It's ready! The hot pot of boiling Sundubu is served. It comes with rice, kimchi, Korean seaweed, and pickled radish. The boss mixes the raw egg right away and eats it, but I prefer to wait until the egg is cooked before eating it. It's hot, spicy, and delicious! I enjoy it with rice. It's popular for lunch, but it's quite empty at night, so it's a hidden gem. There are various hot pots and side dishes available! Thank you for the meal.

Good evening. Today, I will introduce Korean Kitchen Hyang in Nishi Ward, Osaka City. Located 200 meters from Honmachi Station on the Osaka Municipal Subway Yotsubashi Line, it takes about 6-7 minutes on foot to reach Korean Kitchen Hyang. This restaurant is known for its Sundubu-jjigae set for lunch, but today I visited for dinner. The upscale interior has around 30 table seats with a comfortable distance between them. On this day, I ordered dishes a la carte. - Seafood Pajeon: The outside is crispy and the inside is chewy, with delicious seafood toppings. It's hard to find a Pajeon as good as this one. - Samgyupsal Set (serves 2): Thick pork belly is grilled on a hot plate to a crispy finish. It pairs perfectly with garlic. - Stone Bibimbap: The balance of Gochujang, namul, rice, and vegetables is excellent. It's delicious. - Signature Sundubu-jjigae: Comes with a blend of 30 multigrain and white rice. Served piping hot at the table. This soup goes really well with rice. Korean Kitchen Hyang is one of the top Korean restaurants in Osaka, especially known for its Seafood Pajeon and Sundubu-jjigae. Once you try them, you'll be hooked. Korean Kitchen Hyang Address: 1-13-31 Nishihonmachi, Nishi-ku, Osaka 550-0005 Phone: 06-6533-6566 Business Hours: Lunch 11:30-14:00, Dinner 17:30-23:00 Closed on Sundays.

I tried the "Jundubu Jjigae Set Meal" at "Korean Kitchen Hyang", but it wasn't as spicy as I thought. This restaurant is located in Nishihonmachi, Osaka (a bit of a walk from Honmachi Station or Awaza Station). The restaurant on the first floor of a building resembling an apartment has counter seats on the left side and 4-person table seats on the right side (there are also seats at the back for group customers), giving off a slightly upscale Korean restaurant vibe. The customers were mostly groups of salarymen and solo female diners. This time, I ordered the lunch menu "Jundubu Jjigae Set Meal" with the "standard" option (without any toppings). When I tried it, the bubbling hot small pot of jjigae contained tofu, onions, clams, and other ingredients, and while the soup was bright red, it wasn't as spicy as it looked. It was hot but still easy to drink as is, and it was delicious even when mixed with rice. It came with kimchi, Korean seaweed, and refillable rice (a blend of 30 types of grains and white rice, slightly sticky) for 850 yen, but with early bird or late night discounts, it could be 100 yen cheaper, making it feel reasonably priced depending on the timing. There are various toppings available for the "Jundubu Jjigae Set Meal" (there was even one with takoyaki), as well as other classic Korean dishes like Bibimbap and Kuppa for lunch. There were also various Korean dishes that would go well with alcohol in the evening, so why not stop by when you feel like having Korean food near Jinya Park.

This restaurant is located near my workplace, so I often go there for lunch. I always order the pure tofu set. The set comes with rice (5-grain? 10-grain? white rice), kimchi, Korean seaweed, and one small side dish, all for 850 yen. I think the cost performance is good. There are various other lunch menus that all look delicious and have good cost performance, but for some reason, I always end up ordering the pure tofu. That's because I really love the taste here. I try ordering pure tofu at other Korean restaurants too, but none can compare to here. Personally, I wish they sold the broth. I would definitely buy it! That's how much I love the pure tofu here. I think most people who come for lunch probably order this menu, right? Maybe. The stone pot bibimbap is also popular, but I haven't tried it yet. It's not like it's my goal for this year or anything. ===========

I had a slow-cooked beef tail for lunch today at "Korean Cuisine Hyang" in Nishimotocho. I tried their tail soup, which had a rich flavor that must have been simmered for a long time. Despite its cloudy appearance, the umami flavor was abundant and the ginger added a nice touch, making it easy to eat. However, it was a bit on the rich side. When biting into the large bone-in meat, the cartilage would easily melt away. It's a bit frustrating that there's mostly bone and just a small piece of meat. Compared to Senbayashi's master's Sundubu or my colleague's stone pot bibimbap, the main dish was a bowl full of soup, so after finishing it, I was left with a full belly of broth. But you know, the value of things is not always constant. In the past, freshly harvested rice in autumn used to be the best, but nowadays, rice with mixed grains is considered a treat. Older generations like my parents, who remember the wartime and post-war era, don't appreciate rice with mixed grains. It's interesting, isn't it? I took a detour to Futo Tsubo Park. The yellowed cherry blossom leaves were falling off in the rain. Seeing this, I think the cherry blossoms might not be as vibrant this year. Thank you for the meal.

There are many restaurants around the park, offering Italian, French, Japanese, Okinawan, Indian curry, Chinese cuisine, but not many Korean restaurants. That's why Hyang, a new Korean restaurant, is a great addition. The interior is stylish, with a small counter and about 10 tables. The staff are Korean and the food is authentic. The Chapchae, slightly spicy and chewy Korean-style glass noodles, is great. The seafood pancake is crispy and delicious. The Samgyupsal, Korean-style grilled pork belly, is cooked in a unique grill that makes it crispy and tasty. It's satisfying, although the menu prices may be a bit high. They offer beer sets with Namul or pancakes at a reasonable price. I would definitely want to visit this place again.
