I had curry soba at a shop in front of JR Teradacho Station. I was a little surprised because I thought the noodles in curry soba would be Chinese noodles, but it turned out to be Japanese soba with curry sauce. However, it was a unique and delicious taste. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, it can be said that M○cd○nald's is always in front of the station. On the other hand, standing udon shops are declining. One day, while searching for standing eateries, I came across a shop with a very intriguing exterior. I visited for the first time on a holiday after 11:00 AM. The shop mainly has counter seats, and there are chairs at all seats, not just standing. The interior maintains a Showa era atmosphere while being bright and clean. I sat at the counter in front of the kitchen and ordered the "oboroudon" and onigiri. I also ordered the onigiri because I saw inari sushi and onigiri in the display case in front. This onigiri is clearly huge! Moreover, it is a mixed rice onigiri with ingredients such as carrots, konnyaku, and shiitake mushrooms packed in. The rice ball is soft and the seasoning is gentle with a light soy sauce flavor. The udon broth is a bit salty, with the flavor of the bonito overpowering the salt. The noodles are of the standard type found in Osaka, with a familiar soft texture. Although the kelp looks good, it is ultimately overshadowed by the broth. It was tasty, but not quite the expected flavor. Thank you for the meal.

I was debating whether to have sashimi or moon-viewing, but in the end, I couldn't resist the smell of curry inside the restaurant and ended up having curry udon! I debated whether to have one or two thick rice balls, but one was enough. The curry was piping hot and had plenty of meat in it. The rice ball was as delicious as ever. It's recommended for those who like strong flavors. The service was faster than a certain beef bowl chain. I opted for rice ball and side dish. They also offer side dish rice, but the rice ball is just the right amount for me. It was served promptly during lunchtime. The rice ball was really thick. Thank you for the meal! It was delicious!

I want to eat something warm, so I ordered soba or udon, or maybe curry. I ordered udon and onigiri from the old lady. Would you like 2 onigiri or 1 onigiri? I'll have 1 onigiri. 2 is too much for me. The onigiri here is thick and you can also choose the filling. The onigiri is really thick. The order came quickly and the hot soup really warms you up. Thank you for the meal! Next time, I'll try the soba. My stomach is satisfied.

Starting from the year 2021, my dining options and commuting habits have changed. Although I had only used JR Osaka Loop Line Teradacho Station once in the past, now I find myself getting on and off at this station quite frequently. Right outside the north exit of the station, there is a udon restaurant called "Meidai Ekimae Udon." It is truly located "in front of the station," in terms of proximity. However, it is tucked away in a side alley, so it is not immediately visible to people coming out of the ticket gates, giving it a somewhat hidden gem vibe. The restaurant itself has a sophisticated look, with a sleek black exterior. Glancing at the menu samples outside, it is evident that they offer a limited selection of dishes at affordable prices, fitting the image of a "station udon" spot. Inside, the place was bustling with activity. The staff were elderly, and the main clientele seemed to be older as well, but there was a warm and lively atmosphere. I ordered the zaru soba, and before it was served, I was asked, "Would you like to add an egg?" It seemed to be the default option for zaru soba at this restaurant, as other customers were asked the same question. I was a bit surprised by the idea of adding an egg to cold soba, but it turned out to be quail eggs on the side. The soba noodles were slightly thicker than expected, with a texture that leaned more towards soba than udon. I had underestimated the quality, assuming it would be soft and almost like udon due to the "station" and "affordable" factors. Overall, it satisfied my hunger, and I may visit again when I want a quick bite.

Recently, I often visit Teradacho when working in Kansai. Today, it was just before noon, so I searched on Tabelog. And there it was. A nice standing-style restaurant. I immediately went in. After reading other reviews, I felt comfortable ordering the tempura soba. They have round stools instead of standing. When the food arrived, I paid at the same time, just as mentioned in the reviews. The broth looked beautiful, very clear. The tempura was shrimp tempura, but it felt nostalgic. Small, slightly hard shrimp with a large coating. The soba itself was soft. Overall, it's like a regular station soba, but the friendly aunt and uncle were chatting while efficiently doing their work. The menu signs in the restaurant are very retro, which adds to the charm. It's a shop rooted in the local community. It has a lovely nostalgic atmosphere. Osaka is really nice. I'll definitely come back again! Thank you very much!

Cheap, fast, delicious. The broth is also well-balanced. The ingredients are plentiful and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly.

I went to a udon restaurant in front of Terada-cho station. The name of the restaurant is "Ekimae Udon," which is a very clear and easy-to-understand name that reflects the location of the store. I was a little hungry, so I tried their kitsune udon. The atmosphere of the restaurant is similar to a standing udon shop, but they also have seating where you can enjoy your udon. As for the taste of the kitsune udon, it was just delicious. The noodles were not extremely firm, more on the softer side like Osaka-style udon. The sweetened fried tofu was tasty. The price for a bowl of kitsune udon is 280 yen, which is about average. It was quick to prepare, so it's convenient if you want to eat udon quickly and smoothly. If you have the chance, I recommend you to visit this place.

With an empty mind, I pondered deeply♪ (singing "Ekimae Blues" by Naotaro Moriyama) I visited the "Ekimae Udon" near Terada-cho! After reading reviews, I heard they have a popular "Curry Soba" dish, so I decided to try it~ (*^_^*) The clean interior of the restaurant made me a bit nervous as I wondered whether to buy a meal ticket, but the kind lady said, "Please place your order. I will bring it to your table~!" I was touched by her kindness...◎ The Curry Soba costs 390 yen (lol)♪ This Curry Soba consists of boiled soba noodles with curry sauce, green onions, and fish cake! I've never had anything like this before! !(^^)! The spicy and rich curry flavor was quite good~! It made my throat a bit dry afterwards (lol), but my heart felt warm and content~ (*^_^*)

Exiting the north ticket gate of JR Osaka Loop Line Teradacho Station, you will find a udon restaurant without a doubt right on the side street to the right of McDonald's after crossing the pedestrian crossing in front of you. Just next to it is a famous shop that attracts otaku fans. Upon entering, you will see a cozy atmosphere with a counter facing the kitchen with 10 seats and another counter along the wall with 7 seats, totaling 17 seats. Inside the kitchen, there are two middle-aged individuals, a man and a woman, working diligently. I ordered the highly recommended curry soba (370 yen), which was promptly served in just a few minutes. The noodles were not particularly impressive, lacking in firmness and texture. However, the standout was the curry broth, which was exceptional. Unlike the typical thickened sauce in udon shops, this curry broth was made by simmering a large amount of vegetables and meat until it turned into a puree-like consistency, then diluted with dashi. Although it lacked spiciness and strong spices, the concentrated umami flavors from the ingredients exploded and spread throughout the broth. To enjoy such a delicious curry soba at a price almost equivalent to standing and eating... I wish I had known about this place sooner. Next time, I might try the curry udon.

JR Kanjo Line Teradamachi Station, this restaurant is located just across the street from the north exit of the station. It has a standing-style setup, but there are chairs available. There is an L-shaped counter facing the kitchen and counter seats facing the wall, with customers sitting back to back. I tried the plain udon. It seems like it's a prepayment system as the customer before me paid when placing the order, so I followed suit and paid in advance. However, I read a review on Tabelog later that mentioned it's a post-payment system. Not sure if they recently changed their policy or if it's flexible. The udon noodles were thin without much firmness. The portion of noodles was generous, which was nice. The soup was on the lighter side. Toppings included tempura crumbs, shredded seaweed, and green onions. Overall, it was decent for the price. They provide shichimi pepper as a condiment on the table. I had about 20 minutes for lunch, so I tried to go to a ramen shop next door, but there was a line, so I gave up. If I had a bit more time, I would have tried the ramen. Menu items include udon and soba ranging from ¥220 to ¥420, curry rice for ¥370, onigiri for ¥160, inari sushi for ¥160, zaru soba for ¥350, zaru soba large for ¥450, and more.

I visited a restaurant in Terada-cho that I had always known but never been to. After reading reviews, I decided to try their curry soba, which was highly recommended. The restaurant is located right outside the north exit of Terada-cho Station, next to Saikyoutukemen. It has a counter with seating for about 20 people, and there is no parking available. I ordered the curry soba for 370 yen and also tried the inari for 160 yen. The curry soba was delicious, with the curry sauce blending nicely with the soba noodles. The inari was slightly sweet, which complemented the spiciness of the curry. The total bill came to 530 yen. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

When I went to the neighboring restaurant, it was closed...what a lie (ToT). Feeling too lazy to move, I decided to head to the nearby "Meidai Ekimae Udon" restaurant instead. Despite the name of the restaurant, it is actually located in a back alley near Terada Station. Ramen lovers may have passed by it before. I ordered the Curry Soba for 370 yen. Despite the restaurant's name, I ordered soba. The price is similar to standing soba shops. The soba seemed to have been boiled once, then boiled again before being served in a bowl. The special curry was poured over it, with a bit of broth added. The soba, which had been boiled once before, was surprisingly fluffy, but the curry on top had a rich flavor. It reminded me of demiglace sauce. The meat and carrots were almost completely dissolved, leaving almost no trace. "Wow, this curry is really delicious..." I thought, enjoying the jazz music playing in the background. The curry here is not like the curry you would expect from a regular udon or soba shop. The portion size is typical for a standing soba shop, disappearing in an instant. But I poured the curry broth into my stomach, and it was delicious. I paid the bill to the old lady and left the restaurant. The curry here is really good...thank you for the meal.

The restaurant is located in front of the Marutora Main Store. Despite the neighboring popular restaurant with long lines, this quiet "udon" shop continues to operate without being affected. It is an old-fashioned type of "udon" shop in Osaka, not a stand-up style. While there are some seating options, orders do not come out in a matter of seconds. The taste is comparable to shops where orders come out quickly. However, the prices are not set in the same range as stand-up style shops. Their main selling points are being "fast," "close by," and "affordable," providing a stable dining experience. It is perfect for breakfast, lunch, a quick meal during breaks, or as a snack. If you happen to be disappointed by the neighboring restaurant, it might be worth stopping by this reliable shop. You can see the continuous flow of regular customers from the nearby patisserie. With a large capacity, there are no long lines... because of their large capacity. Thank you for the meal.
