Hello! It's RamenWalking here! Today is also Sweets Day, and I visited Mochisho Shizuku in Nishi-Nagahori to try their "Sakura Mochi." This shop is known for its craftsmanship and dedication to quality ingredients. Despite arriving close to closing time at 17:50, the staff warmly welcomed me. Here's what I ordered: - Sakura Mochi: 302 yen - Tanba Black Bean Mochi: 324 yen - Strawberry Daifuku (with white bean paste): 508 yen The Sakura Mochi was a seasonal treat with a subtle saltiness that complemented the sweetness of the red bean paste. The Strawberry Daifuku featured pesticide-free strawberries, offering a perfect balance of tartness and sweetness. My family enjoyed the Tanba Black Bean Mochi, as they are fans of bean-filled sweets. I was hoping to try their "Rich Chestnut Mont Blanc," but it was already sold out as a seasonal item. Currently, the Sakura Mochi is a limited edition treat, soon to be replaced by "Oak Leaf Mochi" next week. Additionally, the Kishiwada branch offers a unique treat made with "soil" called "Soil." Thank you, Mochisho Shizuku in Nishi-Nagahori, for the delightful treats! Today's step count: 16,145 steps. Calories burned: 598 kcal.

This is a soft and delicious Japanese sweet. It is recommended as a gift for the elderly. I also purchased it as a gift. I enjoyed it with tea when I visited. The daifuku is delicious, and the shigure is not too sweet and easy to eat, which was well received by the elderly. I want to go again.

I had a raspberry daifuku and it was delicious! However, when it comes to the price, I thought it was fine but the man I was with thought it was too expensive. It would make a great gift for work-related occasions as it is well-received. The shop where you can buy and eat is on the same floor, so it doesn't feel very special. People around you are talking while you eat, so it's hard to fully immerse yourself in the experience.

While exploring the area near the hotel, I came across a shop and decided to stop by. They had a variety of unique and beautiful daifuku (rice cakes filled with sweet bean paste). They were perfect for gift-giving as they could be packed in a mist box, and the prices were reasonable. I purchased the raspberry daifuku, ground cherry daifuku, and walnut mochi. They were all delicious.

Visited on Sunday, waited for 3 groups, visited at 15:18, placed order at 15:28, then left. Peach mochi was sold out. It's about a 15-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station. They also have an eat-in option. It was full house. Ordered Daifuku (ground cherry, matcha) and mochi (grass, black bean) for ¥1890. Both Daifuku and mochi were very delicious. I was particularly surprised by the ground cherry Daifuku. It's not overly sweet, but the balance between the juiciness and the sweetness of the Daifuku dough was just right.

There are a variety of daifuku available. I ordered peach and black ones. They are large, so it's best to eat them in two bites. They are soft and the filling is rich and delicious. The unique thing about this place is the restroom, where the manager's attention to detail is evident. One thing to mention is that the toilet paper is rolled on a thin, silver, upright L-shaped rod emerging from the ground. You should definitely check it out.

The appearance is cute and colorful, making it perfect for souvenirs. You can choose your favorites to have them packed for you. My favorite is the matcha daifuku! The raspberry one was also delicious with sweet and sour berries inside. They also have warabi mochi and other options. The packaging is cute and really lifts your spirits!

After enjoying a delicious Italian lunch, I stopped by Mochijo Shizuku, a sweets shop popular among the top 100 in Japan, to get some delicious fruit daifuku to go. I didn't realize that the main store of Mochijo Shizuku is actually in Kishiwada, even though I'm a local resident. I'll have to visit the main store sometime. This time, I chose the refreshing Miyako Island mango daifuku and their most popular item, the raspberry daifuku. While waiting for my order, the staff kindly offered me some leftover fruit juice from making the mango daifuku, which was amazingly delicious. Apparently, this is a special treat for customers who buy the mango daifuku. Both the mango and raspberry daifuku were delicious, and I was impressed by the atmosphere and service of the shop. I'd love to try their seasonal fruit daifuku in the future. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Japanese sweets are truly works of art. Their appearance is elegant, graceful, and delicate. While cakes may surpass them in terms of taste nowadays, when it comes to delicate beauty, Japanese sweets take the lead. Shizuku Shinmachi store has a system where only two groups are allowed inside at a time. Customers can take their time to choose their treats in a calm atmosphere, with attentive service from the staff. The interior is designed with a stone theme, and the displayed items are arranged effectively to exude a sense of luxury. You can also enjoy your treats inside the store, aiming for a photogenic effect. I ordered: - Peach Daifuku 240 yen (excluding tax), a small yet reasonably priced treat. - Gastronomic Herb 575 yen, a bit on the expensive side, but perhaps worth it for the complexity. - Deep-steamed green tea 825 yen, a pricey tea menu option for just two small cups. The total came to 1,804 yen including tax. The flavors are elegant, but in my humble opinion, the taste didn't quite reach an impressive level. I would prefer fruit daifuku over the peach one. The Gastronomic Herb tasted like a flavorless pudding with a hint of herbs. It seems that the focus is more on the aesthetic experience rather than the taste. This review is based on the dining experience. While I may not personally buy these treats for myself, I would consider purchasing them as gifts. However, I wonder if the recipients would appreciate them.

I was surprised by the punch of mango scent (^O^) It's high-quality mango. The peach daifuku was also delicious with juicy white peach. The balance of white bean paste and mochi was perfect. They had black bean daifuku at 2:30 on Sunday. You can pay by credit card.

For a souvenir, I visited Shizuku-san, a place I had always wanted to go. The interior decor is simple and very stylish. The seasonal Japanese sweets are also beautifully presented. There were about 10 different types available. Putting them in a wooden box would make them look very presentable as a gift. Next time, I would like to try dining in the restaurant as well.

A shop located south of Orix Hall in Osaka. The interior is very clean and stylish, fitting for a shop in Shinmachi. There is also a cafe corner where you can enjoy tea with sweets. Today, I ordered a set of 9 traditional Japanese sweets for souvenirs. Depending on the combination of sweets, the price is around 4000 yen per set. The presentation is really lovely. The staff's service is elegant and not at all rude. It's a perfect gift for someone special.

The fashion of the place is amazing! I tried a raspberry daifuku that I've never had before ❤️ It's refreshing and I think it could become addictive! Next time, I want to try the matcha soy latte... I'll take it to go next time when it's not so hot! I wanted to show the inside, but I couldn't cut it neatly, so I took a picture of my friend's daifuku instead ✨ It's still a bit messy, sorry it's not helpful. Each person had different dishes, so the cute look of the place lifted my mood.

I finally visited a shop that I had been curious about (*^^*) I tried their limited edition peach daifuku and their popular raspberry daifuku. The peach was very juicy and the fruit juice spread throughout my mouth! The raspberry was sweet and sour, which was a surprise when eating it as a daifuku (* ´ ▽ ` *) This place is perfect for souvenirs too♪ Thank you for the delicious food☆

I stopped by because I was passing by. The shop only allows two groups inside at a time, and there were already two people, so I had to wait a bit. You choose the items one by one like at a cake shop, so it takes a while for each person. I was able to enter with a short wait on a weekday, but I imagine it gets crowded on weekends. I knew that the traditional Japanese sweets were smaller and more expensive than usual, but that also raised my expectations. I bought bean daifuku and peach daifuku for myself. They were wrapped together, but one is meant to be eaten at room temperature and the other should be chilled in the fridge. It was a bit troublesome to separate and store them at home, so I wish they had put them in separate packages. The bean daifuku had large beans that added a nice texture and flavor. It paired well with the refined sweet bean paste. I want to eat 10 more. I haven't tried the peach one yet, but I have high expectations. It's a bit pricey for everyday consumption, but I think it's a great Japanese sweet to give or receive as a gift.

As expected, the mochi shop did not disappoint. The gyuhi was delicious (^O^) Unfortunately, the black bean daifuku I wanted was sold out by 4 pm on Sunday (T . T) It has just the right amount of sweetness and high-quality ingredients, which makes my body happy ( ^∀^) The moist and smooth dough of Shinmachi Shigure was delicious. The large chestnut was of high quality (^O^) The seasonal mango was powerful.

I visited the popular Japanese confectionery shop in Nishi-Ohashi during the day, around 1 pm. There were only 3 other customers when I arrived. The shop has a stylish exterior that doesn't look like a traditional Japanese sweet shop. I purchased two items this time. <Peach Daifuku 540 yen>: The description says, "A ripe white peach and white bean paste wrapped in soft rice cake." The peach is indeed sweet, but the size is quite small. However, the smooth texture of the white bean paste complements the fresh peach well. The rice cake is so soft and smooth that it changes shape easily under its own weight. <Framboise Daifuku 475 yen>: The description says, "A rice cake dyed with beets, wrapped around strawberries and a hint of rum-flavored white bean paste." The rice cake is slightly firmer than the peach daifuku. The flavor of framboise spreads out boldly, and the rum-flavored white bean paste enhances it beautifully. It has a strong impact and a bold approach, but I think it comes together nicely. I highly recommend the Framboise Daifuku as a standout item. Thank you for the delicious treats!

Before 11 a.m. on holidays, there is no parking available. The building is very stylish with exposed concrete walls on the first floor. The staff are all stylish women. The visuals are very colorful. They sell items like wasanbon sugar, mochi, and gyuhi. Is this a shop for foreigners?

It feels just like Kyoto!! The music, the interior, everything was very calming. The atmosphere was like an art exhibition, with rows of daifuku that were very cute. They also have an eat-in option, which was nice! The prices are a bit high, but I would like to come back again. The peach daifuku was very delicious! The raspberry was a bit sour.

It was hot, so I had a walnut mochi shaved ice. The walnut mochi coming out from under the cold ice was delicious. The warm hojicha afterwards was also great! The Japanese sweets I bought as souvenirs were cute and tasty. I went in the early afternoon, so I was able to smoothly enter the store without waiting.

Located in Shinmachi, Osaka, the traditional Japanese confectionery shop "Mochisho Shizuku" is known for its popular sweets like the Framboise Daifuku. The shop has been selected as one of the top 100 sweets shops for four consecutive terms, solidifying its reputation as a well-known establishment. Conveniently accessible from Nishi-Ohashi Station (Osaka Subway), the shop is easy to visit. On a weekday afternoon, I visited the shop and was delighted to see a neat display of various Japanese sweets. I placed my order with the friendly staff, who promptly packed the sweets from the back of the shop. Despite there being only one other customer at the time, the service was attentive and efficient. I ordered the "Shinmachi Shigure" (white kidney bean) and the "Kusamochi" (sweet rice cake with red bean paste). The Shinmachi Shigure had a soft and fluffy texture with a light taste, while the Kusamochi had a subtle sweet and salty flavor. While the sweets were not exceptionally outstanding, they were elegant and well-crafted. Overall, "Mochisho Shizuku" offers a satisfying selection of traditional Japanese sweets with a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. The prices may be slightly higher, but considering the quality of the ingredients and the current economic conditions, it is understandable. Despite not being the best value for money, the shop is still a commendable artisan of Japanese confectionery. [Foodie Rating: 3.75 at the time of visit]
