It was the only seat available, so I reluctantly sat down. If I lived nearby, I might receive the protection of Prince Shotoku in the quiet residential area beyond the Tennoji Police Station in the Shitennoji area. There were no chain stores around, not even a cafe. Local people flocked here without hesitation for morning coffee around 8 o'clock. It seemed like a Western-style restaurant that serves pasta and doria for lunch, rather than just a regular cafe in the city. The exterior looked fancy, but the interior showed its age, giving off a down-to-earth vibe. The coffee was often freshly ground and brewed in a siphon, showing the dedication to authenticity. The morning toast was meticulously prepared, toasted twice in two toasters. The master occasionally touched the bread to check the doneness, which was impressive. It was great to witness that, and I was glad I chose this seat. I don't know where the bread came from, but it was surprisingly delicious. When you think about profit, it's hard to make a living selling breakfast for only 460 yen. I realized that breakfast equals service in this shop."

As soon as I entered, I saw two types of sweets in the showcase and was seated at an unmanned counter. I ordered the Cake Set for 730 yen, which included a pumpkin pudding and a hot coffee. It took a while for my order to be served, probably because of the lunch rush. The coffee was a mild blend, with a well-balanced flavor. The pumpkin pudding had a smooth texture and a nice sweetness from the pumpkin, making it delicious.

There were more than 4 long loaves of bread and the place was quite popular with a lot of customers. This time, I ordered an iced coffee and a potato salad sandwich. While you can find potato salad sandwiches at bakeries, I haven't seen them much at cafes or coffee shops. The sandwich was made by generously spreading margarine on fresh bread and sandwiching the potato salad inside. The iced coffee was good, but the potato salad sandwich was exceptionally delicious. I often find myself satisfied after eating one or two morning sandwiches at cafes, but this time I wanted more. However, it's said that it's better to leave wanting more, as it leaves a more delicious memory, as famously said by the poet Kitaoji Rosanjin.

I go there occasionally. The lunch set with appetizer, bread, and pasta for 950 yen is reasonable and delicious. The portion is also generous, so you will be full.

When the appetizers arrived, I was asked what drink I wanted and when they should bring it. After finishing the pasta, I asked for some bread and was told they were currently baking it. The staff realized they forgot the bread for the previous customer and laughed about it. I have a small appetite so it was okay for me, but I started to feel uncomfortable and ended up leaving halfway through. It's more of a previous issue rather than the taste of the food.

Work suddenly got busy and I missed lunch, so after being turned away from a few places, I finally settled here (*^_^*) I was deciding between pasta, doria, or a sandwich, and ended up choosing an egg sandwich because I love eggs. This one is an oven-baked sandwich with a nicely browned crust on the bread ( •ω•ฅ) It was made with care and attention to detail, and the cut was clean and neat. The mayo and butter were just right. The mild coffee after the meal was also delicious (*^_^*) I have been so busy with work lately, I really want to go on a trip far away...

The coffee had a good balance of bitterness and was served promptly. The tuna sandwich was small but tasty, with a tangy flavor that paired well with the coarse ground pepper on the table.
