The restaurant I would like to introduce this time is "Chinese Cuisine. Asahi. Kokura Honten". I tried the "Crab and Egg Set Meal (1080 yen)" and the "Gomoku Kake Gohan (780 yen)". Lately, it seems like there are more Chinese restaurants and Chinese cuisine places opening up, but maybe it's just my imagination. Each restaurant has its own unique qualities, which is great for us diners, but Chinese cuisine is always delicious, right? Dishes like Ebi Chili, Tenshinhan, Sweet and Sour Pork, and Mapo Tofu are just too tempting. First, I chose the "Crab and Egg Set Meal". It's a great set where you can try a variety of dishes in small portions. The soy sauce ramen was really delicious. I liked the thin noodles and the flavorful soup that wasn't too heavy. It's nice that it's not too rich. I wish they had a larger size. The Crab and Egg dish had a bit less crab stick than I expected, but the fluffy egg and flavorful sauce were really good. I wanted to eat it on top of rice. The side dishes of Namul and Bang Bang Chicken were consistently tasty. They were a nice break between the strong flavors. The almond jelly dessert was a perfect balance, and I left feeling very satisfied and full. Next, I tried the "Gomoku Kake Gohan". I debated between this, the "Gomoku Paris Soba", and the "Gomoku Yakisoba", but I was in the mood for rice, so I chose the "Gomoku Kake Gohan". It's nice that you can choose based on your mood that day. No matter what you choose, it's sure to be delicious. Restaurant Name: Chinese Cuisine. Asahi. The parking lot in front of the restaurant is always full of cars, so it must be a popular place. I always wanted to visit, and on my first visit, I ordered a safe choice of ramen and gyoza set. I was surprised to see a variety of dishes like yakisoba, fried rice, and almond jelly lined up on the wall, all-you-can-eat style! If I had known that, I wouldn't have ordered the gyoza (lol). In the end, I had sesame dumplings and almond jelly for dessert. I'll make sure to visit on an empty stomach next time. It was an amazing Chinese restaurant with a great system.

Today, I cleaned the house and fixed the vacuum cleaner tangled with my cat's hair around 1 pm. Feeling hungry, I drove to a nearby Chinese restaurant called "旭 小倉本店" next to "ウエスト". They have a variety of lunch options, but I decided to order the grilled dumplings with salt ramen. They also offer a buffet menu with options like soup, salad, meatballs, yakisoba, fried rice, chicken tempura, and more. I enjoyed the meal, especially the juicy grilled dumplings and flavorful salt ramen. The buffet was a great deal for 880 yen, and I left feeling satisfied and a bit too full. I will definitely come back when I crave a hearty meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

Lunch buffet starting from 700 yen. Great value! First, you order one dish and then enjoy all-you-can-eat side dishes and desserts. Today, I ordered the shrimp mayo which was delicious. The buffet had salad, fried chicken, fried rice, steamed rice, sesame balls, almond jelly, and more. The crispy cabbage stir-fry was especially tasty. I'll definitely come back on a day when I want to eat a lot.

Visited a few "Asahi" restaurants in Kitakyushu for the first time. Since they specialize in Chinese cuisine, I ordered the Ankake Ramen instead of the regular ramen. I also got a side of fried rice. The fried rice was good, but the oil used to stir-fry the ingredients in the Ankake Ramen was strangely fishy and sour. In Chinese cuisine, sometimes they reuse oil to remove the edge, but I wonder if they used it for fish. It was a bit disappointing because the sauce was good. Overall, I didn't have a bad impression of the restaurant, so I've decided to include "Asahi" restaurants in my list of places to try out.

The parking lot is on the premises. There are many spacious table seats inside the store. I ordered the shrimp chili set meal for 1080 yen. I chose the Taiwan ramen as the set. I also ordered an additional corn soup. The corn soup had a light taste with a thick texture and a few pieces of corn in it. It was just the right amount for sharing between two people. Both the shrimp chili and the Taiwan ramen were cheap but delicious. As I was eating, my companion jokingly remarked, "If you think this is good, wait until you try Ajisen's ramen."

Today, I went to a ramen restaurant near the Chinese restaurant I visited last time. The ramen was mostly tonkotsu-based and quite delicious. The Chinjao Rosu was a bit bland, so I added some soy sauce to enhance the flavor, and it tasted great. I think you're supposed to adjust the taste individually using the condiments on the table. I'm still not quite sure how to use vinegar in Chinese cuisine. Thank you for the meal.

If you order the Chicken Mayo dish for 800 JPY during Sunday lunch, you will receive other dishes as a service. It's unclear if the same applies on weekdays, but it might be good for families. There are 13 side dishes included (such as fried rice, soup, almond jelly) and they also have white rice. We went in the evening at the end of June around 6 o'clock and ordered fried rice, mapo tofu, and sweet and sour pork (forgot the price). All the dishes were in generous portions, equivalent to 3.5 servings or more, and we couldn't order any additional dishes.

When I went for lunch, if you ordered a menu priced at 800 yen or more, you could enjoy unlimited rice, soup, side dishes (pickled vegetables, vinegar dumplings, yakisoba, fried chicken, salad), and desserts (almond jelly, sweet bean paste-filled fried dumplings). I had been there for dinner before, but I was surprised by this service for lunch. And all of this for only 800 yen, it's too good of a deal. Chinese food portions are usually large enough to fill you up, but this time I was so full I felt like my stomach was going to burst. The cost performance is great, so I will definitely go again!!

I visited for lunch and had the Tianjin ramen (700 yen). It came with a buffet for orders over 700 yen, which was very good value. The staff's service was polite and I am satisfied. I would like to go again.

A Chinese restaurant, probably run by Chinese people. The stir-fried dishes are delicious and the seasoning suits Japanese taste. I recently tried the Scoville Chicken, which is like a type of fried chicken, and it was delicious! Half a piece for 800 yen. The bones are well cooked so you can eat them easily.

On my day off, I felt like having Chinese food and remembered that a new Chinese restaurant had opened next to West recently, so I decided to go there. There are a few parking spaces right in front of the store. The interior of the restaurant is quite spacious and comfortable. They have several set meals to choose from, and after some consideration, I ordered the shark fin noodle soup and pork with bean sprouts noodle soup, as well as fried rice. The fried rice was ready surprisingly quickly and had a rich flavor, it was delicious. The noodles also came out quickly, but... The noodles with pork and bean sprouts had plenty of vegetables and was light in flavor. The shark fin noodle soup had quite a bit of shark fin in it, so I was scooping it up with my spoon the whole time. Both dishes had thin noodles that were delicious. I would like to try the sweet and sour pork and mapo tofu next time, so I definitely want to go back again.

I had chicken and cashew nut stir-fry set meal and vegetable grilled dumplings at Asahi's main store. Asahi is a good place to go, isn't it? I wanted to go to a Chinese restaurant in Sakaimachi, which is famous for KTQ, but there were many groups and it was full from the evening, so I was disappointed. I'm thinking of trying Asahi's dishes, but I've recently become unable to eat ramen.

Next to Kata no West, a new Chinese restaurant called "Chuka Ryori Asahi" has opened. It seems to be the branch of the Kokura main store. The congratulatory wreath displays names of familiar Chinese restaurants in Kitakyushu such as "Shikikuren," "Sho," and "Kinjo." Looking at the menu, I see photos of dishes that remind me of the Kinjo (Mizumaki branch) that I visited before (daily specials, ramen sets that are quite similar), as well as menu items like fried chicken and noodles that I remember from Emaki's "Eki Gyoza." We ordered the "Ramen Set" which includes Tonkotsu Taiwan Ramen + Mapo Don for 800 yen and the "Cumin Lamb" for 1280 yen. The "Taiwan Ramen" and "Tantanmen" at Asahi Tamachi are quite delicious, but here we tried the "Tonkotsu Taiwan Ramen" which I haven't had before. The toppings include leeks and minced meat. The meat forms meatballs that sink into the soup. It has a decent level of spiciness, but due to the tonkotsu base, the flavor feels mild. There is a slight herbal taste as well, making it quite tasty. However, I think I prefer the regular Taiwan Ramen. The portion of noodles was quite generous. The "Mapo Don" also had a large portion. It has a hint of sourness and a bit of sweetness, with a mild level of spiciness. Unfortunately, it lacked the aroma I prefer. The "Cumin Lamb" dish features lamb flavored with cumin seeds. The lamb meat was surprisingly mild in flavor and easy to eat. The unique taste and spiciness of cumin were present, making it delicious, but it felt a bit too oily and overly sweet and salty. I would like to visit again and try different dishes. The restaurant seems to have many Chinese customers, but the service was pleasant. I couldn't finish the Cumin Lamb, so when I asked if I could take it home, they brought me an empty pack, a rubber band, and a plastic bag from the kitchen, saying "Here you go!" How practical! I have to pack it myself... Of course, they also brought a cup for water and told me to help myself, which I appreciate. (I like this system) (567)
