I was in Osaka playing until a bit late, and before taking a taxi home, I found this ramen shop! From looking at the menu, I thought it would be a rich and flavorful ramen, but surprisingly it was quite light. For those looking for a heavy tonkotsu ramen from Kanto, it might be a bit lacking, but at this time, this lightness was just right! Also, the retro atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in Showa era was perfect for this time of night. The ramen was light, but the gyoza was meaty, juicy, and delicious!

Yes, I'm working the night shift today. I want to eat garlic-based food for my bike commute... I decided to head towards Taisho. I remembered a ramen shop I haven't been to yet in Sakuragawa! Sakuragawa Ramen! It wasn't very popular, but I decided to give it a try. When I entered, there was a foreign woman customer and a foreign staff member. They had various types of ramen, but I went with the default tonkotsu shoyu ramen. It arrived in about 5 minutes. It had bean sprouts, green onions, menma, and chashu. I tried the soup first... it had a unique taste that I couldn't quite describe. I slurped the noodles... they were medium-thin straight noodles with a good portion. As for the chashu... was that cinnamon? I'm not a fan of cinnamon or star anise. Overall, the flavor didn't quite suit my taste. Thanks for the meal. Ramen: 10 Udon: 1 Soba: 2 [Total: 13 bowls]

I didn't have lunch and was heading to my next appointment when I visited this place, Sakura River Ramen, for the first time. The interior had about 20 seats with 3 tables. There was one foreign customer. The recommended dish was the tonkotsu shoyu set, but they only had set menus. I didn't ask and ordered the gyoza set. It took about 7-8 minutes for the dish to arrive. When I entered, there were no other guests, but someone else who came in later got their food almost at the same time, so they must have turned on the heat for me. The ramen had chopped green onions, spinach, bean sprouts, and two slices of pork belly chashu. The soup was light with a smooth texture, not too salty, and didn't have any animal smell. It was delicious. I noticed a slightly different spice-like aroma and thought they might be using cinnamon in the chashu seasoning. The chashu had a sweet and rich flavor with little fat, making it easy to eat. The noodles were round and thin, similar to egg noodles, with low oil content but surprisingly held up well in the soup. It was a great meal! Thank you!

I visited "Sakuragawa Ramen" for lunch at the quiet Sakuragawa area. Arriving before 1 pm, I found hand sanitizer outside the entrance. Upon entering the half-open door, I noticed a goldfish tank on the left. The place was quiet with no other customers. I ordered the "Ramen Set (850 yen)" from the menu. The pork bone soy sauce ramen came with toppings such as chashu, menma, moyashi, komatsuna, and negi, served with thin straight noodles. The soup had a light pork bone flavor with a slightly unique aftertaste. The chashu had a slightly sweet seasoning. The fried rice was light and fluffy, with a mild taste. The portion size was generous, and I left feeling satisfied. The set menu had 6 options, all priced at 850 yen. There were condiments like pepper, vinegar, and chili oil on the table. The cozy restaurant had a TV and seating for 4 at the counter (with dividers) and 4 tables (1-person, 2-person, and 4-person). The place was run by what seemed like a couple. I had the place to myself from entering to finishing my meal, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely dining experience.

For dinner during a business trip, I went to Sakuragawa Ramen in Naniwa-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. It's a ramen shop located very close to Sakuragawa Station. It's great that they're open until 2 am. We came here for a meal after drinking at another place. Although it opened in 2018, it already seems to fit in well with the nighttime atmosphere of this area. Asahi Super Dry for 500 yen, let's have a few more drinks. Tamago Ramen Set for 850 yen - a set that includes tonkotsu shoyu ramen with fried rice. Despite the generous portion, the price of 850 yen is quite reasonable. The slightly clear shoyu-based soup has plenty of medium-thin curly noodles. The thick-sliced chashu with plenty of fat is delicious. The seasoned egg has been cooked with a slightly firm texture. And next to the ramen, there's fried rice. It also has diced chashu which adds a nice touch. Karaage for 350 yen - with 4 pieces in the serving, we enjoyed it as a tasty snack while drinking.

Today I had lunch here. I stopped by before going to the sauna to fill my stomach. I was looking forward to fried rice rather than ramen, so I sat down and ordered it right away. Since there were no other customers, my dish arrived in about 5 minutes. The fried rice was indeed fluffy, but the taste was completely lacking - not too salty, just extremely bland. Although I could see that it had a variety of ingredients, the flavor was just too weak. I managed to eat it by blending the condiments on the table - soy sauce, pepper, vinegar, and dumpling sauce. The owner and the staff seemed to be a couple from a different country. I wonder why the fried rice, which was not particularly cheap, turned out to be disappointing. Thank you for the meal.

Sakuragawa Station. It's an area with a famous building. After playing, we went to "Sakuragawa Ramen" nearby. The name of the restaurant is straightforward. The staff is a Chinese woman. I ordered the gyoza set. The others in the group ordered tantanmen and fried rice sets. The price is around 850 yen, so it's not expensive. The gyoza was crispy and quite delicious. As for the ramen, it was average. However, the person who ordered tantanmen praised it! I tried a bit of the soup and it was actually not bad. If you go there, I recommend ordering the tantanmen.

Hello, tonight I visited "Sakuragawa Ramen" which is a ramen shop in Sakuragawa. Their ramen is mainly based on tonkotsu shoyu broth. They offer options like chashu ramen, egg ramen, and tantanmen. I ordered the gyoza set which came with large gyoza. I dipped them in the sauce provided. The ramen didn't taste like your typical tonkotsu shoyu, it had more of a soy sauce flavor and was light. I could taste some unique flavor, maybe from star anise or something similar. It seems like they are open late. Thank you for the meal.

Sakuragawa Ramen is located at the former Tenjo restaurant, known for their garlic ramen. The soy sauce pork bone ramen costs 680 yen and has a good balance of soy sauce flavor. The noodles are from Taiyo Seimen, a reliable noodle supplier. In recent years, ramen has evolved and prices have increased, but in Osaka, around 800 yen seems to be the standard. It would be nice if prices could be kept around that range, even though I understand that rent in Minami and Shinchi is high. This place offers a set for 850 yen, which is wallet-friendly.

On this day, I went out to drink with my friend after a long time! And after a long time, I did it! Yes, I did it! I had ramen. Originally, I wanted to eat porridge, but oh well (・∀・) who cares!!!!! There's a ramen shop next to here, and since my friend has been there before, we decided to choose this place (・∀・) who cares!!!!! I haven't been to this ramen place before, so I wanted to try it out (I wanted to write about it on Tabelog - food review website) and it was just the right time. So we visited and ordered the default ramen on the top left. ● Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen (680 yen) Arrived in about 2 minutes! So fast! First, I tried the soup... Tonkotsu? Shoyu? It's more like shoyu, I guess? (・∀・) who cares!!!!! It tastes like the kind of ramen you would get at a Chinese restaurant. The noodles are thin and chewy. The bean sprouts on top were a bit slimy (・∀・) slimy!!!!! The char siu pork slices were quite large, but achumyu doesn't like fatty parts, so I only ate a little of the non-fatty part! The char siu had a sweet and savory seasoning. If you're looking for a hearty ramen for lunch, this might not be enough, so it's better as a light meal or snack. Thank you for the meal! (・∀・)!!!!!

Late night dinner in Sakuragawa. I visited this ramen shop that was open late. The Chinese staff greeted me with a friendly "Irashai". Despite the late hour, there were quite a few customers, mostly young people. I ordered the ramen set for 850 yen. The ramen had a slightly spicy soy sauce broth with no noticeable richness. The noodles were medium-thin with no distinct characteristics. The soup had a strong pepper flavor. The chashu was large and sweet-savory, occasionally tender. I left some of the dry parts. Next was the fried rice, similar to Takafuku's with a unique aroma. The frying was perfect, but the flavor was lacking. Overall, the chance of revisiting is 3%. Thank you for the meal.

Opportunity does not come waiting. You have to improve your skills to attract opportunities. These words are from professional baseball player Hidetaka Yamakawa. I personally like intense pitcher battles, like a 1-0 game. But this year's Seibu Lions with their powerful aggressive baseball style is also attractive. Manager Hatsuhiko Tsuji, who led the team to victory in his second year, shines in his player selection. Today, I visited "Sakuragawa Ramen" in Osaka. The weather was clear after the typhoon, and I made my way to this newly opened ramen shop on August 5th, which took over the location of "Tensho" that closed before I could visit. I ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen (680 yen). Although the fried rice and mapo rice bowl looked tempting, I decided to go with the basic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen. The broth was a calm brown color, not the cloudy white tonkotsu typical of Kyushu style. Toppings included bean sprouts, komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach), and menma (fermented bamboo shoots). The flavor was light and not overpowering, making it a dish you could enjoy every day. The medium-thin noodles had a smooth texture and were easy to slurp. The two slices of chashu had a Chinese-style taste with a hint of spices. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. As the saying goes, "Do your best on the way there, sneak away quietly, and have no regrets."

Around 11 PM, I arrived at the restaurant. There were two other customers. I ordered a set of ramen and fried rice. It was strange that both regular ramen and egg ramen were the same price. When the ramen arrived, it tasted like instant noodles with some raw bean sprouts on top. It lacked flavor and was not very impressive. I added some pepper to try to improve the taste. The scent of the pork slices in the ramen reminded me of Taiwan. The fried rice in the set was bland, maybe they forgot to season it? Personally, I found everything to be under-seasoned and lacked satisfaction.

Simple tonkotsu shoyu ramen. The noodles were thin and curly, and delicious.

I visited the restaurant at closing time and there were no customers. There was a goldfish at the entrance. I had ramen and gyoza. The ramen had a rich description, but it wasn't actually rich. The soup was light, the noodles were soft and stretchy, and the meat seemed like it was from a can. The gyoza was average and easy to eat.
