I ordered black sugar milk tea for the first time. It was a bit too sweet for me, but my child seemed to like it. They offer a discount for elementary school students, which is appreciated. I would like to try other varieties as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Visited Goncha Diamall Osaka for the second time. Ordered the Summer Mango Frozen Tea (630 yen) through mobile order and went to pick it up. The sweet and sour Summer Orange jelly paired perfectly with the refreshing Alishan Oolong tea frozen drink and sweet mango sauce. Previously, I thought it must be tough with only one staff working, but this time there were two staff members handling the register and drinks, working hard. They also kindly put a cute sleeve on the drink to prevent it from being too cold to hold, which was a nice touch. I would definitely want to come back again.

After finishing work at "Diamor Osaka," I visited "Gong Cha." They actually have a store in Akashi City, but I haven't been there yet. I bought a Black Sugar Milk Oolong Tea (ICED, L) for 690 yen with a topping of milk foam for 80 yen, including tax. The milk foam topping was delicious, with a balance of sweetness and saltiness that gave it a cheesy texture rather than just milk. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I went to Umeda for a dessert tour. Since it was still early, I stopped by here. I didn't know there was a Gong Cha in Diamor Osaka. I ordered the chocolate tapioca topping. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. The price is a bit high though.

I was shocked when the Taro Strawberry Milk Gong Cha's Taro Imo disappeared, but it made a comeback and even powered up by collaborating with strawberries! The comforting sweetness of the Taro Imo and the bold sweetness of the strawberries complement each other perfectly in the tapioca. The strawberries had chunks of fruit in them and were exceptionally delicious.

"I thought this one might be easier to drink." That's what I thought when I tried the sakura-flavored milk foam on top of oolong tea at this Taiwanese tea specialty shop. In early spring, you often see sakura tea, made with salted cherry blossoms, at some tea specialty shops. It is usually served in a teacup with hot water poured over it, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful appearance and flavor. Personally, I sometimes find that the saltiness is a bit strong when drinking it as tea. However, on this day in March, I found an interesting drink at this tea shop. It was the "Kumquat Soda" that I ordered along with the "Sakura Milk Foam Alishan Oolong Tea" drink. This drink features the usual tea topped with a sakura-colored and scented milk foam. While they also had milk teas with black tea and matcha, I chose the one with straight oolong tea topped with milk foam, as I hadn't seen it much elsewhere. The foam itself is flavored with both flowers and leaves, and finished with a powder made from double cherry blossoms and leaves from the Oshima cherry tree, which is well-known for sakura mochi. It had a hint of saltiness in addition to the aroma. Compared to the sakura lattes I've had at places like Starbucks, it reminded me more of sakura mochi. Yet, being a straight tea, it had a refreshing taste, making it suitable for those who don't like overly sweet drinks. As for the "Kumquat Soda" that I ordered with the sakura tea, I had previously tried a tea soda made with kumquats last summer, but this one was made by mixing kumquat syrup with carbonated water. The taste was similar to the previous tea soda, but without the tea, the flavor and acidity of the kumquat came through more. This one had a simpler taste and was priced at an affordable ¥200 for a medium size, making it a great choice for a quick mood refresh. While I'm not sure how long they'll be serving the "Kumquat Soda," the "Sakura Milk Foam" tea is available until 3/31 (except for Hokkaido stores, which will have it until late May). If you enjoy sakura flavors or refreshing drinks, I highly recommend giving it a try.

It's located next to the Herb's at Diamall. I wonder if it was recently opened? I passed by on a weekday afternoon and it was empty, so I decided to buy some for the first time in a while. During the tapioca boom a while back, I tried tapioca from various shops and thought Gong Cha was the best, but the tapioca drink I had recently was... honestly too sweet, I'm good. It's not bad, but I think I've had enough.

There are multiple Goncha stores in the Umeda area. The number of stores has increased quite a bit, so it seems like they are finally spreading out. However, there is always a line of 2-3 people. This time, I purchased the Japanese tea series.
I often drink hojicha latte or matcha latte, but this was my first time trying the Genmaicha milk tea. I had it without any toppings in the normal version. It has a refreshing flavor and is easy to drink. I think it would have a stronger dessert-like feel with tapioca. Thank you for the meal.

In May 2020, on my way home from work, I passed by Diamaru Osaka and noticed that a Gong Cha had opened there. I wondered if it had just recently opened because I hadn't noticed it before. Many stores have not yet reopened due to the impact of the new coronavirus, but this one was open. However, they mentioned that they had reduced the number of menu items compared to normal times. I didn't mind though. I decided to order my usual, a Black Milk Tea with pearls (medium size) for 529 yen. The store was not too crowded, probably due to people wearing masks because of the virus, so even an older guy like me felt less embarrassed waiting in line. I found a nearby resting area and enjoyed my drink, which was quite sweet and delicious. As for the pearls, I always end up leaving some at the bottom of the cup. I wonder if there's a trick to getting them all into my stomach. It's a mystery. I had to leave about half of the pearls this time too. It's a shame because they're so tasty. Thanks for the meal!

Finally, they have opened a branch at DeiAmo Mall! They are known worldwide, and I first tried it in Malaysia. I ordered milk tea and matcha milk tea. They were both delicious with plenty of large tapioca pearls.
