Gyoza no Osho. No doubt about it! Today, I had the set meal. What makes me happy is that the regular set meal comes with 3 gyoza, but if you ask, you can get 6 gyoza for an extra 120 yen. They also have a variety of sets like Kung Pao Chicken set and Ramen set.

Delicious! Simply delicious! And cheap! Currently, only the counter is open. Of course, it can get crowded at times, but if you go at the right time, it's not too busy, and the food comes out quickly! They have also started a stamp campaign, so there are many great deals!

Located at the end of a shopping street on the north side of Tennoji Station, I decided to visit this shop to have a bowl of noodles to finish off my daytime drinking. It was around 2:20 pm on a holiday and there were 5 customers already inside. This time, I had a specific goal in mind - to try the limited edition July menu item, the "Taiwan Ramen" priced at 750 yen. I love Taiwanese ramen, so I was curious to see what it would be like. Although they offered sets with gyoza or rice, I opted for just the noodles since I was drinking. It had been a few months since my last visit to Gyoza no Ohsho, and I noticed that there were no condiments or utensils on the table. It seems like the impact of those annoying terrorists is still lingering. Anyway, the Taiwan Ramen arrived after a short wait. It was generously topped with various vegetables. I took a sip of the soup, which had a soy sauce base and a mildly spicy flavor. It didn't seem to have garlic in it (really?). For a garlic lover like me, it was a bit lacking, but I think it's a taste that most people would enjoy. The toppings included chives, bean sprouts, onions, chopped green onions, minced meat, and wood ear mushrooms, making for a substantial portion. While the authentic Taiwanese ramen typically has a good amount of chives, bean sprouts, and minced meat, this version had a lot more. Despite not being in Taiwan but in Nagoya, it was still a tasty bowl of noodles. The monthly specials at Gyoza no Ohsho are always great. July has just begun, but I'm already looking forward to what they'll have in August. Thanks for the meal.

I went to Gyoza no Ohsho to try their limited menu item for June 2023, the Spicy Pork Ramen. This time, I visited the Tennoji Horikoshi branch in Osaka. It is located along Tanimachi-suji street, a short walk north from Tennoji Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line, near exit 7 of Abeno Harukas. I ordered the Spicy Pork Ramen on its own. The soup had a nice level of spiciness. It would have been even better with a glass of draft beer. The bowl was filled with plenty of vegetables and eggs, providing a satisfying meal. Although there were set menu options available, just the ramen alone was filling enough. This felt like a typical Gyoza no Ohsho menu item. I would like to go back to try it again before the end of this month. Next time, I would like to enjoy it with a glass of beer.

Gyoza no Ohsho is really delicious. Their consistent taste is unbeatable. I can't resist their gyoza, even though they have many other menu options. I usually order either the 2-person or 4-person servings, depending on the day. The staff is also excellent.

The first floor has a counter seat in the shape of an "I". There are also seats on the second floor. The counter seats on the first floor were about half full. All the previous customers were old men drinking beer! Despite it being before noon on a weekday, the alcohol consumption rate was 100%! It feels like the downtown area of Osaka. I sat at the end of the counter seat. There was no place to put my belongings... Food: Summer Service Lunch (fried rice + cold ramen). It's a lunch set menu with fried rice and cold ramen. A limited menu available on weekdays from 11:00 to 15:00. The soup is light with a slightly sour taste and almost no oil content. The straight thin noodles have a bit of a firm texture. The toppings include chashu, half a boiled egg, green onions, etc. I added some super spicy chili oil from the table in the middle of the meal to change the flavor. The limited-time menu at Gyoza no Ohsho, like in other branches, often feels lacking or mediocre. The fried rice had a consistent taste. Excellent! The skills of the professionals were shining. Thank you for the meal. Food eaten: Summer Service Lunch (fried rice + cold ramen)… ¥850

Shitennoji-mae Yuhigaoka and around Tsutenkaku, many individually-owned Chinese restaurants are closed during Golden Week. So, I ended up going to Gyoza no Ohsho. At first, I tried the Taishi store near the zoo, but it was crowded outside and the atmosphere was very Nishinari-like, so I rode my bike towards Tennoji. The Horikoshi store was also open during Golden Week, but only the first floor counter was operating as the second floor was closed. The manager seemed strict and was giving instructions to the staff. The Gomoku Ramen had a variety of ingredients and lots of vegetables, but it had a strange egg-like substance that was unnecessary. The taste was okay. What's even more strange is that no matter how I search on Tabelog, Gyoza no Ohsho doesn't show up when I specify the area or search by name.

The staff were shouting where customers could hear. They only let people sit at the counter, probably because they were short-staffed. I wish they would guide customers to the second floor to avoid crowding. There are no hooks or baskets to hang outerwear at the counter seats, and nowhere to hang bags. Not very helpful.

Located on the north side of Tennoji Station, around the area across from Tenshiba and the road, is this shop. I remember visiting for a dumpling lunch and decided to stop by for another lunch drink. I arrived around 1:45 pm on a holiday. The counter seats on the first floor were about half full. I sat at a seat near the entrance and looked at the menu. I had already been drinking quite a bit, so I was craving carbs. However, I remembered a conversation at work recently where we said, "I could drink as much as I want if there was leek and liver stir-fry." I really wanted to eat it. So, I ordered the following: Leek and Liver Stir-Fry for 480 yen, Dumplings for 220 yen, and a bottle of beer for 480 yen. I took a big sip of the beer that arrived first. The customer next to me ordered a double dumpling set and added an extra serving of rice. It's great to be young. After a while, the Leek and Liver Stir-Fry and dumplings arrived. What a perfect accompaniment to the beer. I don't need to say much about the taste. The liver had no unpleasant smell and was delicious. If I hadn't already been drinking so much before coming, I would have added more beer and dumplings. I might stop by again casually. Thank you for the meal.

I felt an irresistible urge to have lunch and drink at Gyoza no Ohsho, so I decided to visit this restaurant. I went around 2:30 PM on a holiday and there were 4 customers already there. I didn't just visit for the gyoza, but also to enjoy the half-price special on draft beer. It's a great deal for a beer lover like me. I ordered "2 servings of gyoza for 474 yen & medium draft beer for 310 yen tax included". Later, I also ordered a "large bottle of beer for 518 yen tax included". I started with the draft beer. It was a hot day, so having beer in the afternoon was really refreshing. I couldn't wait for the gyoza to arrive. However, it took a while for the gyoza to be served. I thought maybe the kitchen was busy with the other customers who were already eating. But then, customers who came after me and those getting takeout were served promptly. I couldn't help but ask, "Is mine not ready yet?" and the staff apologized and quickly brought out the gyoza. I don't know what happened, but I can only guess. Finally, I could enjoy the gyoza. The skin was slightly lukewarm, but the filling was piping hot. The juices from the meat oozed out, and it was delicious. It went really well with the beer. At first, I was a bit concerned about the service due to the delay in serving the gyoza. However, when I paid and handed over my loyalty card, the total was 1302 yen, but they stamped it three times, so I decided to overlook the service issue. (The stamp card costs 500 yen for 1 stamp). Thank you for the meal.

◎Osaka Tennoji Night Gyoza Feast at Gyoza no Osho◎ I was craving gyoza from Osho for dinner, so this time I headed to Gyoza no Osho Tennoji Horikoshi store located north of Hankai Shoutengai in Tennoji. While I often visit the convenient Tennoji station store, the Horikoshi store is a bit of a walk from the station, so it was a rare visit for me. Being a part of the Osho chain, I could enjoy affordable and delicious gyoza and dishes with peace of mind. The store has counter seats on the first floor and table seats on the second floor, making it a spacious and user-friendly place. They also have a "Just Size" menu, where you can enjoy various dishes for around 300 yen each, perfect for pairing with drinks or when you want to try a variety of dishes. On this day, I had gyoza, stir-fried leeks and liver, sweet and sour pork, moo shu pork (stir-fried pork and eggs), Tianjin rice, fried rice, and more, which paired well with drinks. Osho's gyoza never disappoints with its reliable taste and great value for money, making it a satisfying place to dine.

- Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen and Chinese Rice Bowl Set for 599 yen - Grilled Gyoza for 220 yen x 2 orders - Grated Garlic for free - Total including tax: 1120 yen Even though I'm a thrifty customer, I shamelessly asked for some garlic on the side and added it to the ramen and gyoza sauce. And now, it's delicious! Yummmm! #Gyoza no Ohsho #Tonkotsu Ramen #Chinese Rice Bowl #Grilled Gyoza #Tennoji

I ordered the set menu, but they said the gyoza would be delayed. However, they already served it to customers who came after me.
