I went to "Tenryuken" because it had good ratings on Tabelog. The restaurant is located in a remote area, near Kasagi Pass which divides Iizuka City and Miyawaka City. It may not be well-known to everyone, but being in such a secluded location for a long time must mean they have something good to offer. I arrived a bit late for lunch, around 2:30 pm, and was worried they might be closing soon. However, the owner welcomed me warmly and I ordered their "Negi Ramen" for 800 yen. The ramen had a generous amount of green onions and the broth was rich and flavorful. The noodles were thin and had a great texture. The chashu was also tender and delicious. Overall, I was impressed with the quality of the food and service. I would love to come back and try their Chashu Ramen next time.

After leaving "Yanmen Tei," I stopped at the edge of a supermarket parking lot to finish my draft and then checked Google Maps to decide where to go next. However, I accidentally saw something I shouldn't have seen! There were several eateries around the intersection, so I was curious about what kind of restaurants they were. When I looked at the names, I saw "Juntontsukotsu Muso Ramen." I had heard of the name before but had never been there. Normally, I should have been happy, but I was feeling lost in my current situation. I debated whether I should go or not, as it sounded delicious. In the end, I decided that I wanted to eat there. I made a U-turn and arrived at the restaurant, named "Tenryuken." It was my first time hearing about this place. The restaurant was located in a desolate area, surrounded by trees, and looked like a residential building. Despite the closed sign outside, the curtain was still up, so I entered. The interior had a counter, tables, and a raised seating area with a TV. I noticed a ticket machine on the right side and ordered a ramen set. The staff, two men and a woman, were running the restaurant. The red counter gave it a traditional ramen shop vibe. My ramen and half-fried rice arrived quickly, and I enjoyed my meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

The ramen was very ordinary. The fried rice had a well-seasoned and fluffy texture. It was delicious.

The pork bone soup was slightly different from Hakata ramen and delicious.

I stopped by because I found this ramen shop on the way to my private navigation guide. It was clearly out of place in the middle of the mountain pass, but surprisingly delicious. The ramen and fried rice set is a good deal at 800 yen. The ramen is 550 yen, large size is 650 yen, and I forgot the prices of other items. The fried rice in the set had a generous portion.

I and M from the design company "Alpaca-san" embarked on a reckless and rude start without an appointment, no plan, to take photos of ramen from a Chikugo ramen shop participating in the 3rd Kitakyushu Ramen Festival. Thanks to the generosity of the owner of "Menya Yubuki", we were able to finish taking photos at the first shop. Next, we called "Ramen Ryutaro" in Miwaka, which is close to Iizuka, and the owner also kindly agreed. We love the ramen shops in Chikugo! We set off without a clear route, relying on my internal map and M's mobile map. We passed by "Junkotsu Muso" and headed towards Yamate, and I mentioned the mysterious "Tenryuken" ramen shop in the mountains. We arrived at "Tenryuken" and were surprised to see a new signboard, indicating that the shop was still open. We were thrilled to find it open and immediately decided to eat there. We parked the car, entered the shop, and were greeted by the owner.
