Seafood Izakaya Aichi (Hankyuu Sanbangai, Kita-ku, Osaka) I went to Sanbangai for lunch after a long time and noticed a new restaurant called "Aichi." Since I didn't recognize the name, I decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a seafood izakaya offering seafood bowls for lunch. Let's check it out. In addition to rice bowls, they also offer four types of set meals. The only menu item under 1000 yen is the "Negitoro Shirasu Tsukimi Don" priced at 950 yen. However, my favorite, the "Negitoro Salmon Don" with salmon and shirasu, seemed more appealing. It costs 1100 yen. The order arrived in a reasonable amount of time after it was placed. The portion size matched the menu photos, and you can taste the salmon, shirasu, and negitoro distinctly. The wasabi was generously added. I went to the new restaurant on Sanban Street. I sat at the counter seat and ordered the Tuna Zanmai Donburi. I actually prefer lean tuna over fatty tuna, but since I was hungry, I really enjoyed it. It cost 2200 yen. I enjoyed it so much that I don't want to see tuna for a while. The miso soup with salmon on the side was also delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the seafood izakaya Aichi because I was curious about their donburi. I ordered the limited quantity Tekka-don for 1200 yen. The tuna was very delicious. The negitoro had no unpleasant smell, and I could feel that the freshness was good. The cost performance is also good, so I would like to try other items next time. Thank you for the meal.

I felt like having sushi and tempura, so I made a quick stop on my way back from the beauty salon. The tempura varies in how crispy it is each day, so I wonder how it will be today. I ordered squid and shrimp tempura. The squid was tender with a crispy coating, a good balance. Shrimp tempura is always delicious. For sushi, I had medium fatty tuna, sea bream, and salmon. Since they raised the prices, it's not as great value as before, but it's still affordable. I also had a beer, and the total came to 2,000 yen, which is not bad, right?

I used it for a daytime drink! It was around 3 pm on a holiday, and there were about 8 empty seats, with a decent number of customers. There were many items on the menu that were not listed on Tabelog or Hot Pepper, so I wonder if they have a lot of seasonal limited items? Even though the cooking was done by just one person, I was surprised at how fast the food came out. Despite cooking from scratch, the speed was amazing...I was able to eat it piping hot. However, the drinks came out slowly and the balance might be off. If they came out at the same speed, I might end up drinking more (to prevent drinking too much!?) Many of the staff members may not be very friendly. Only a very cute young lady was polite. Thank you for the meal!

I had never heard of the restaurant "Kaizan Izakaya Aichi" before, but I decided to try it because the sashimi looked fresh. I ordered a sushi roll that looked like it was filled with lots of ingredients. It cost 1,000 yen, but it was worth it because both the sashimi and vinegared rice were delicious!

I went in aiming for Happy Hour, but it turns out they don't have it anymore. The menu has gotten fancier and the prices have gone up - disappointing. The sashimi platter with 5 types of fresh fish for 780 yen was great, especially since they asked about my preferences and served a variety. The tempura shrimp for 200 yen was okay, but the chikuwa tempura for 180 yen was excellent. The quality of the tempura can vary depending on who's frying it. Overall, the value for money was good, but not as surprising as before.

I felt like having a beer, so I went to my favorite place. During happy hour, beers are only 320 yen! So cheap. For snacks, I had tuna tartare and miso cod roe with cucumber. I also added a hot sake, and the total was less than 1500 yen. I went home feeling a little tipsy.

Today it rained in the morning ☔️ I decided to have a lunch drink in the Umeda area. First stop was at Aichi, a seafood izakaya in the basement of Umeda 3rd Street. Sushi set meal for ¥1200, Aichi special for ¥550, and Poke salad with shrimp and avocado for ¥480. Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the tuna.

Aichi Special is a seafood izakaya located in the basement of Hankyu Sanbangai. The restaurant is new and clean, with a mainly female clientele. It seems to be run by the owners of Maguro-en in Kuromon Market. The Aichi Special costs 550 yen and includes chutoro, negitoro, and ikura on top of rice. The chutoro is without any sinew and has a good amount of fatty richness. Overall, the meal, including a draft beer during happy hour, came to 870 yen, which is quite reasonable.

I stopped by for a quick drink as I had about an hour until my scheduled time. The tuna is delicious. And the price is amazing!! I am very satisfied. - Tuna tartare: 420 yen Cubed tuna with tataki, topped with flavorful miso and green onions for you to mix and eat. The tuna has a great taste, and it goes well with sake. Delicious. - Tempura shrimp: 180 yen You can order just one piece! It's crispy and hot. Tastes great with tempura sauce or salt! - Shredded dried fish tempura with cheese: 350 yen The shredded fish tempura is tasty but the cheese is a bit disappointing. It's like a slice of cheese that has lost some moisture, not really melting. It's not bad, but maybe changing the grilling or the type of cheese could make it even tastier. But for 350 yen and this amount, it's a good deal. Many places offer cheap food but make up for it with expensive drinks, but the alcohol prices here are super cheap. A draft beer for 350 yen is amazing!

I had a tuna cutlet sandwich and a soft drink (Mitsuya Cider). The cutlet sandwich was crispy and hot, freshly fried. It's delicious with or without mustard. This time, I chose a soft drink because it was lunchtime and I had a companion, but I would love to have it with alcohol. The atmosphere of the restaurant was bright.

Visited after 6:00 pm. There are 20 counter seats and 3 tables in the restaurant. There were 2 groups of customers before me and 1 group after me. I confirmed that it was okay not to drink alcohol. The restaurant is bright and clean, with a wooden interior. It reminded me of a popular lunch spot at Whity. The shop card indicates that the restaurant focuses on tuna and operates as an izakaya. I ordered the sashimi set meal for 1200 yen. It was served in about 10 minutes and included fatty tuna, sea bream, octopus, salmon, and a type of white fish. It also came with miso soup, potato salad, and rice. The sashimi was delicious, showcasing good quality and freshness. However, the portion size was quite disappointing compared to the photos displayed outside. The potato salad seemed like a commercial product, and the miso soup felt like it was just added with no depth. Considering the price, it felt quite expensive. In a competitive lunch area, prices are usually in the 600 yen range. Perhaps the high price is due to the use of high-quality fish. I expect other dishes to have a great cost-performance ratio since the restaurant primarily focuses on seafood.

Negitoro Salmon Donburi ¥1100 Rare find at Hankyu Sanban-gai for dinner. A seafood izakaya that opened just last December. They have hearty donburi menu for dinner, very satisfying with a large piece of salmon! It was delicious! They also have a variety of a la carte menu items, and sushi is only 2 pieces for ¥200! Cheaper than Sushiro! I couldn't help but mutter in my mind. What's interesting is that even though it's a seafood izakaya, they have a wide range of teppanyaki menu items! From sashimi to meat, you can enjoy it all. I'm really curious about the Toro Betarata Futomaki! And also the tuna cutlet sandwich! Next time, I want to try their a la carte menu! It seems like a restaurant run by a tuna wholesaler. The tuna is delicious and the prices are surprisingly good! I passed by the front of the shop around 3 PM on a Sunday and thought, "Was there a place like this here?" It looks like they recently opened. There were a few customers at the table seats and counter, so I decided to drop in. - Aichi Special (550 yen): A plate with small vinegared rice balls topped with tuna, tuna tataki, and ikura. There are 6-7 pieces of tuna, fresh and delicious with a nice amount of fat. You can enjoy the tuna tataki and ikura by rolling them with the vinegared rice and seaweed. This is very enjoyable for just 550 yen, such a great deal! - Sushi: Tai (250 yen) and salmon (250 yen) are also cheap for 2 pieces. The salmon is delicious without any fishy taste. - Cucumber miso mentaiko (280 yen): The miso is actually crab miso. It goes well with alcohol! The mentaiko is probably from a tube and the crab miso from a can, but at this price, there's nothing to complain about! - Tempura: Ebi (180 yen) and kisu (250 yen) are crispy and light, with the shrimp being plump and the kisu being fluffy and delicious. The combination of sushi and tempura is great. The alcohol is also cheap. I came alone on a whim, but ended up staying for over an hour enjoying myself. I definitely want to come back to this place.
