Even in summer, hot pot is delicious. I tried salted tongue shabu-shabu for the first time!! It was so delicious. I'm hooked. The atmosphere in the semi-private room was also nice. The horse sashimi was also delicious and satisfying. There were various types of hot pots, so I want to try another one next time.

Last time, I had the salted garlic motsunabe, but this time I had the meat nabe! It was a slightly spicy sukiyaki-style nabe that looks great in photos and videos. In addition, we also had tomato salad, pork kimchi, bite-sized gyoza, horse sashimi, all of which were delicious.

Today, I gathered with my gourmet club members for our monthly meeting and enjoyed a warm hot pot together to combat the cold weather. The tripe hot pot we had was unique, with a clear broth similar to sukiyaki and served with ponzu sauce. At first, I thought it lacked a punch, but as I ate more, I found it surprisingly light yet flavorful, making it very delicious. The tripe dipped in ponzu with yuzu pepper was truly exquisite! I will definitely visit again.

I visited a restaurant that I have always loved, known for its delicious and hearty water-based hot pot and meat hot pot. The restrictions have been lifted, so I was able to visit after a long time. Here are some of the dishes I tried: - Special selected beef hot pot: 1800 yen - Water-based hot pot with offal: 1100 yen - Black sesame soba: 380 yen - Tomato and kimchi: 430 yen - One bite grilled dumplings: 500 yen - Motsu and egg: 1000 yen - Cold salad with SPF pork: 600 yen - Avocado and tomato namul-style salad - Appetizer: 330 yen The collagen-rich water-based hot pot with offal won the grand prize in the offal hot pot category, and the sweet and spicy meat hot pot is visually appealing. The sesame soba at the end of the offal hot pot is filled with an incredible amount of sesame. The aroma is amazing, especially when paired with vinegar sauce and chili oil. I also love the motsu and egg dish and the dumplings here. There are plenty of tatami seating options, making it a great choice for families with children. I can't wait to come back and try the tantan shabu next time.

Located in the European street of Minami, beneath a Comfort Hotel that also houses a convenience store, is Mototsugu-san's restaurant. I have been a regular at the America-mura branch, but this was my first visit to this location! The reliable motsunabe (offal hot pot) with black vinegar and yuzu pepper is still fantastic as ever. And above all, my favorite is the black sesame soba noodles for a finishing touch! I enjoyed the soba with black vinegar and chili oil, feeling completely satisfied. However, the container for the black vinegar at this branch is different from the America-mura branch, and sometimes ends up pouring more than intended, so I would be extremely happy if they could change it to a container that makes it easier to pour just the right amount! It's a matter of my own adjustment, but still (^^) Thank you for the delicious meal today!

It's cold so I decided to have hot pot again... I made a same-day online reservation and came to this offal hot pot restaurant. They mainly serve fugu or offal hot pot, but I wonder if they have any other interesting selections for hot pot. Oh, it's next to the Genpin fugu restaurant. The interior is spacious, like a family restaurant. There are families with children making noise in the back, maybe from a nursery? We were seated at a booth. We ordered the award-winning regular offal hot pot, grilled offal, one bite grilled dumplings, and assorted kimchi. It's cold so we started with a hot water toast. The appetizer, kimchi, and grilled offal arrived quickly. The grilled offal is small but tasty with a sweet and savory flavor. Then came the one bite grilled dumplings. I usually like dumplings with a filling. While we were enjoying these, the hot pot was set up and we were told not to touch it as they would take care of it. We waited until the pot started simmering, and a staff member came to mix it and told us to enjoy it with their special vinegar sauce. It seemed like a sukiyaki style hot pot. The offal in the pot was also small but good. Oh, there's some senmai attached to the offal too. It might be good for those who like horumon, but I find the visuals scary. I ended up giving all the horumon to my friend. I'll just have the offal with the vinegar sauce. It's delicious, refreshing with the vinegar sauce. The cabbage and chives are sweet too. The dumplings can also be added to the hot pot. We added dumplings, vegetables, and pork. Even though I'm full, let's order a finishing dish. They recommended noodles but I like porridge, so I ordered porridge. The staff made the porridge for us. They strangely added an egg to the pot, kneaded it until it solidified... Why do they make it in such a weird way... The porridge turned out strange but it's okay. We ate a lot. Thank you for the meal.

Motsuhiko Shinsaibashi Europe Street branch, known for its motsunabe (offal hot pot). I've always wanted to visit this restaurant. I went there for a gathering. Motsunabe course (4,000 yen): - Appetizers, edamame - A light snack to start off. - Tomato slices - Delicious with olive oil! - Steamed chicken with ponzu sauce - Ponzu sauce goes well with alcohol. - Pork belly kimchi stir-fry - Flavorful sauce with chives and kimchi, delicious with the pork fat. This alone would be great for lunch with rice. Motsunabe in sukiyaki style: There are various types of motsunabe, but I chose the recommended one. It's served with a rich soy sauce-based sauce that is delicious! Honestly, anything mixed with this soy sauce-based sauce tastes amazing! The combination of tofu, cabbage, chives, and the fat from the offal with the sauce is irresistible. Adding ramen at the end was satisfying. Grilled offal (700 yen) - I added this as an extra. The offal with the strong sauce and cabbage is a great combination! Offal and egg stew (1,000 yen) - A dish with offal, chives, and egg. The sweetness of the egg, its fluffiness, and the perfect seasoning make it irresistible! One-bite pan-fried dumplings (500 yen) - Crispy and delicious! Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended!

On a cold night, hot pot is the best! This time, I went to Motsuboshi on Europe Street in Shinsaibashi. This restaurant has won the "Motsubo Division Grand Prix"! I ordered: Special Wagyu Beef Tongue Yubiki, Motsuyaki, One Bite Grilled Dumplings, Bara Kimchi, Horse Sashimi Assortment, Tsuruhashi Kimchi Assortment, Avocado and Tomato Namul-style Salad, Water-cooked-style Motsu Nabe, and Sesame Soba as a finishing touch. The total cost was surprisingly cheap at around 5000 yen per person. The hot pot dishes were delicious, and I would love to try all the hot pot menu options. The Sesame Soba was particularly amazing. I visited a motsunabe restaurant on Europe Street in Shinsaibashi for the first time using the Go To Eat campaign. I made a reservation for the Go To Eat course, so there was no explanation and the first dish was served. Then the hot pot started. The motsunabe was average.

I decided to go eat with friends in Shinsaibashi and found this restaurant. The specialty motsunabe hot pot looked delicious, so we ordered two servings of it. You can also add extra ingredients, so we also got the recommended suigyoza dumplings. The staff takes care of everything until the hot pot is ready. While waiting, we enjoyed the ponpon appetizer menu with a toast of beer. The texture was like squid, perfect for snacking! The broth was full of flavor, and the motsu was chewy and incredibly delicious! It had been a while since I had such tasty motsunabe. For the finishing touch, we had black sesame soba, which was cooked until the broth disappeared. The black sesame melted and turned the soba completely black! It was even more delicious than I had imagined. I would love to go back and eat motsunabe again!

A friend wanted to eat motsunabe, so we decided to try this place which had good reviews on Tabelog. We ordered the motsunabe, tomato and avocado salad, and pan-fried dumplings. The motsunabe had an odd pricing where you could choose between a standard amount of motsu or double the amount for the same price. However, even the double portion wasn't that much, leaving us wondering what the standard portion would look like. The dish also included other types of hormone besides intestines, which had a strong smell and were not appetizing. The intestines were decently sized and deliciously chewy. They were cooked in a light chicken broth and served with a ponzu-like dipping sauce, along with cabbage, leeks, garlic, and dumpling skins. The motsunabe was tasty when dipped in the sauce, but it lacked bean sprouts, which we felt would have been a good addition. For the finishing touch, we chose either zosui or udon noodles. The udon noodles were cooked in plenty of black sesame until the broth reduced. They looked interesting but were not particularly special. The flavor was okay, but the broth didn't stand out much. The tomato and avocado salad was lightly seasoned, lacking the expected namul flavor. The pan-fried dumplings were not crispy on the outside and had a strong pork smell without much vegetable taste. Overall, this chain restaurant is decent for a casual meal without reservations and at an affordable price. While I wouldn't say I'll never go back, it's not a place I would actively choose. It's not a place I would recommend to friends either. It's a bit hard to give this place a 3-star rating, and it's not somewhere I would go out of my way to visit.

The meat hot pot was incredibly delicious. There are many foreign staff members, but they were all very polite. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was great, and although I couldn't quite understand the COVID-19 measures, I felt safe with the strong ventilation.

The pork was high quality and delicious. The only downside was that there was a small amount of vegetables. I thought the black sesame soba would be soba noodles with black sesame mixed in, but it was actually Chinese noodles topped with plenty of black sesame and simmered. Be careful because the black sesame absorbs the broth, so you can't add more later.

I visited the offal hot pot restaurant "Motsuhiko" on the European street in Shinsaibashi. I was curious because it had been featured on TV. I ordered the Hakata-style offal hot pot for 1,100 yen. I had the impression that offal was heavy and fatty, but this one was light with no offal smell, and only 220 calories per serving. Healthy! The one-bite grilled dumplings for 580 yen were really bite-sized, crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. The sesame soba for 380 yen was black with a strong sesame aroma, very delicious! They have a variety of hot pot options, and I want to try more. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I went to a year-end party for the motsunabe and the closing soba (laughs), but work got delayed and I arrived one hour after it started (laughs). Of course, right? I was late, so I rushed and had 3 cups, then 4 cups, then 5 cups, and it felt endless (laughs). When I ordered the closing soba, it was already time to leave, and the pressure from the staff was no joke, like "when are you leaving?" (laughs). If I hadn't ordered it, I would have had more than 4 cups, but oh well, what a shame. Until next time, thank you for the meal~
