Nakajima Taishodo, a popular sweets shop known for using Tanba chestnuts, has opened in Yodoyabashi. I couldn't decide between the classic freshly squeezed Mont Blanc and the Shortcake, so I ordered the latter. The cake had a large whole chestnut on top, giving it a lovely appearance. The chestnut was moist and sweet, with a nice natural flavor. The fluffy sponge and chestnut cream complemented each other perfectly. Even though it's still hot in September, I finally felt the arrival of autumn with this chestnut dessert. I also want to try their "Kayabuki" and "Tanba chestnut mille-feuille," as well as the Yodoyabashi store's exclusive canelé. I went around 4 pm and some popular cakes were already sold out, so it's better to go early!

I visited on a Sunday and had to wait a little because the seating was limited, but I was able to enjoy delicious Mont Blanc and shaved ice. The freshly squeezed Mont Blanc with Tamba chestnuts costs 1,650 yen including tax. It has a light cream with a moderate sweetness, and even though it's large, it's easy to eat! The Tamba chestnut and caramel for 1,320 yen including tax have a slightly bitter and fragrant caramel sauce, with sweet chestnut toppings and crispy brown rice! It's large but the deliciousness doesn't get boring. I would like to try other menu items too!

I waited for an hour, so I got takeout and had it at home. Honestly, it was mediocre and not worth the price, so I don't think I'll go back. If I had to pick, the Mont Blanc pudding was the best. The other Mont Blancs were just average. The journey to find a truly delicious Mont Blanc seems to continue.

I visited Nakajima Daishodo in Yodoyabashi. It is a sweets shop that uses Tanba chestnuts. Their Tanba chestnut and caramel shaved ice is topped with fluffy ice, Tanba chestnut simmered in its astringent skin, caramel sauce, whipped cream, and brown rice puffs. The Mont Blanc pudding features a smooth pudding topped with Tanba chestnut Mont Blanc. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

Osaka's first street-level store, "Nakajima Daishodo Yodoyabashi Store," opened on July 12, 2023 (Wednesday) and immediately became very popular. The store-exclusive shaved ice comes in two flavors: Tamba chestnut and caramel, priced at 1,320 yen including tax. First up is the dessert-like shaved ice, with a smooth texture and a light and easy-to-eat Tamba chestnut sauce. The caramel scent was strong even when it was brought to the table, and the caramel sauce's presence, along with the crunch of brown rice puffs, made it taste like an Italian dessert. It was delicious. There were finely chopped chestnuts in it, so if there were more whole chestnuts, it would have been even better. I love chestnut sweets, and in the summer, many cake shops don't offer Mont Blanc, but by coming here, you can definitely enjoy chestnut sweets! "Kayabuki" is priced at 880 yen including tax (864 yen for takeout). The Mont Blanc shaped like the thatched roof of the main store is fragrant with Tamba chestnuts brought close by! The chestnut cream is elegant like a traditional chestnut sweet. The chocolate-covered brown rice meringue at the bottom adds sweetness and texture. If you're unsure of what to order, I highly recommend trying this Mont Blanc. "Tamba Mont Blanc Pudding" is priced at 550 yen including tax (540 yen for takeout). This is my absolute recommendation! This dream-like pudding allows you to enjoy a rich Tamba chestnut Mont Blanc and a creamy pudding made with Tamba Yamabuki eggs together. Under the Mont Blanc cream, there is a thin layer of sponge cake, giving it a satisfying cake-like texture. The pudding is not too firm or too soft. I could eat this every day.

Shaved ice with Tanba chestnut and caramel for 1,320 yen. I visited this newly opened shop. I arrived at 4:30 pm on a holiday. I was lucky as there was almost no wait time, unlike the 2-hour wait earlier. The shaved ice was delicious. They also had exclusive canelés for takeout, perfect as souvenirs.

Danba chestnut freshly squeezed Mont Blanc for 1650 yen. Highly recommended for Mont Blanc lovers! Recently opened on July 12th in Yodoyabashi, Nakajima Daishodo has a takeout store in Daimaru and other locations, with their specialty being "Kayabuki" Mont Blanc made with Danba chestnuts, black beans, and sweet potatoes. This time, I tried the freshly squeezed Mont Blanc. It was a delightful experience to see it being squeezed right in front of me, making me feel happy even before tasting it. The chestnut aroma and flavor were amazing! Inside, there was fresh cream, meringue, sponge cake, and a whole chestnut, making it a luxurious treat. The crispy meringue and fluffy sponge cake texture were outstanding. I was savoring each bite, but couldn't stop myself, and before I knew it, it was gone. The Baumkuchen I took out was also delicious. I look forward to going for shaved ice during the summer. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Located on the first floor of FlexInn Hotel, this bakery called 7/12 Oven has its main store in Tango. This is their fourth branch in Osaka. Many of their sweets are inspired by Tango, with a focus on chestnut-based treats. One unique cake they offer is called "Kayabuki," which resembles a thatched roof house. The prices are reasonable and they also have a variety of baked goods available for takeout.

I went around lunchtime and didn't have to wait long to use the cafe, probably because it had just opened. They had freshly squeezed Mont Blanc, shaved ice, and limited edition pies that all looked delicious. There were also many tempting sweets to take home. I thought about using this place when I visit my parents' house.

I visited around 3pm on a weekday. There was a table available right away. There are only a few tables in the restaurant. Many customers were getting takeout. I couldn't decide between the Tanba Cream Pie and the Tanba Mont Blanc Mille-feuille, but I chose the Mille-feuille to enjoy its crispy texture. It was not too sweet and the chestnut was delicious. I was also curious about the shaved ice at the next table, but I'll save that for next time.

I visited the new store of Nakajima Daishodo, and tried their Instagram-worthy Mont Blanc dessert. The atmosphere was great with a wide variety of baked goods and cakes. I was tempted by their Tanba chestnut chocolate and Tanba Mont Blanc pudding. I ended up getting a freshly squeezed Mont Blanc and it was absolutely delicious. Highly satisfied.

I received an assortment of baked sweets from a friend! The Danba black soybean sablé is incredibly delicious. It's a taste I've never had before! Because it's made with black soybeans, it has a fragrant aroma similar to roasted soybean flour, spreading throughout the mouth. It tasted like a Japanese confectionery or rice cracker, with a hint of a traditional Japanese flavor. I really liked it! It's the first time I've been so impressed by a sablé. Very satisfying! The chestnut financer was moist and fluffy, with chestnut paste (more like a syrup) inside, giving off a subtle chestnut fragrance. It was also delicious. The pound cake has a slight aroma of liquor. The dried figs added a nice touch. The chestnuts were soft and moist, and incredibly delicious! I could eat these chestnuts endlessly. Haha. This pound cake is very satisfying! Very satisfied!

On July 12th, the first street shop in Osaka opened, Nakajima Daishodo. This shop is known for its cakes and baked goods made with ingredients from Tanba such as chestnuts, black beans, and azuki beans. One popular item is the freshly squeezed Tanba chestnut Mont Blanc, a product that was previously only available at the Tanba main store. It features a crispy meringue, plenty of Tanba chestnut cream, and large Tanba chestnuts, allowing you to savor the natural taste of chestnuts. Another exclusive item at the Yodoyabashi store is the canelé, available in five flavors including plain, Tanba chestnut, Tanba black beans, Tanba chestnut with large azuki beans, and Tanba black sesame. The "Kurimaru" is also a favorite, featuring a whole Tanba chestnut wrapped in pie crust that is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with a perfect balance of buttery aroma and chestnut sweetness. In addition to these, there are many other cakes and baked goods to choose from. The store is directly connected to Yodoyabashi Station, making it convenient for both cafe visits and souvenirs. They also offer summer limited shaved ice.
