I visited a bakery called "Ronparu" in Taisho-ku, Osaka City. While driving with my wife, the homemade divider in the car that I had made came loose, so we quickly went to a nearby Konan store to fix it. I had been using 100-yen store double-sided tape to secure the divider to the body, but it didn't hold up well. So, this time, I didn't skimp and bought strong Scotch double-sided tape to repair the divider successfully. Lesson learned - you need to use proper materials for it to work well. With the repair done, we were ready to leave, but my wife had gone to the bakery in the same area to buy bread while I was fixing the divider, so I followed her to the bakery named "Ronparu." It's a cute and cozy bakery with a homely atmosphere. The signboard outside the shop caught my attention, and I noticed that although it's a bakery, their specialty is donuts. When we entered the shop, they were finishing up making honey donuts by the register. The sweet smell of honey enveloped us, making us want to buy some. Originally, we planned to buy bread for breakfast the next day, but the fluffy and delicious-looking honey donuts tempted us, so we decided to eat the bakery's bread in the car. I bought a "Mayonnaise Roll" for 95 yen, a "Corn Bread" for 130 yen, a "Wiener Roll" for 120 yen, and a "Honey Donut" for 100 yen. First, I tried the "Mayonnaise Roll." It was fluffy, soft, and nostalgic. It's a simple bread with just mayonnaise spread on top, a bread that used to be commonly sold in local bakeries 20-30 years ago but is now hard to find. The simple combination of mayonnaise's oil and acidity soaking into the bread made it delicious. Next was the "Corn Bread." Another nostalgic choice that I used to eat a lot during my student days, although not from this shop. The corn inside was cooked, adding sweetness, and it was irresistible. The bread was fluffy and light, and the sweetness was just right. Then, I tried the "Wiener Roll." It was incredibly soft and fluffy, with a slightly sweet dough. The dough was light and delightful. Lastly, the "Honey Donut." This was the shop's specialty item, and it did not disappoint. The warm, freshly made donut was generously coated with honey syrup. The dough was light and fluffy, and the honey syrup had a gentle sweetness that wasn't overwhelming. It was easy to eat multiple donuts because of the light texture. The honey flavor was rich, and for just 100 yen, it was a steal. This was truly a special treat. Despite the unexpected trouble that led us to this bakery, we were delighted by the gentle and delicious taste of the honey donuts, and we look forward to coming back again. Thank you for the meal.
