Located near Hankyu Umeda Station, this is a shop I have visited several times. Among the various shops in the area, I particularly enjoy the freshly fried cutlets at this shop. This time, I ordered the classic cutlet curry. The rich curry sauce pairs perfectly with the cutlet. The pickles served on the side are also delicious. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back again.

I arrived just before closing time with a growling stomach. The atmosphere at the counter was calming, and the staff kindly offered me an extra chair for my bags. I felt excited by the unusual condiments like pineapple and cucumber pickles. After a short wait, a piping hot plate of katsu curry arrived. The curry was spicier than I expected, but it paired perfectly with the sweet condiments. The crispy fried cutlet was the ideal partner for the curry. I devoured the delicious meal in no time! It was a feast for both my stomach and my heart.

I visited a curry shop called "San Marco Hankyu Sanbangai Store" located on the 2nd basement floor of Hankyu Sanbangai, just outside the ticket gate at Osaka Umeda Station, on a weekday in August 2023, a little after 3 pm. The shop had a cozy atmosphere with only two other customers present. I sat at the counter and ordered the Hayashi Rice for ¥850. A female staff member brought a set of condiments and cabbage pickles. After a short wait, the Hayashi Rice was served, garnished with green peas in the center, creating a nice color contrast. I first tried the Hayashi Rice with the condiments - peanuts, pineapple, raisins, and pickled cucumbers. The dish had a perfect balance of richness, acidity, and a hint of sweetness, with a unique and delicious taste from the demi-glace sauce. The green peas added a nice touch. I enjoyed the pickles with their balanced acidity and sweetness alongside the Hayashi Rice. The combination of flavors was exquisite, especially when paired with the raisins. The dish was not too filling, so I finished it quickly. It was truly a flavorful and addictive experience. San Marco's Hayashi Rice never disappoints, offering a taste of Osaka that makes you want to come back regularly.

When looking at the menu, there are many options to choose from. Today, I had the shrimp fry curry. It came with 3 pieces of delicious shrimp fry. I don't like raisins, but whenever I come to this restaurant, I always ask for raisins as a topping to make the spiciness milder. I actually prefer it with raisins. I also recommend the eggplant curry, it is very delicious.

I never get tired of my favorite eggplant curry. The combination of minced meat and eggplant is perfect. Adding freshly fried pork cutlet to it is luxurious. It's the best dish. I think pineapple would go well as a garnish for the pork cutlet.

I ordered the eggplant curry. I have tried various menu items, but the eggplant is my favorite. The raisin topping sometimes helps to mellow out the spiciness and makes it even more delicious. The cabbage pickles are also delicious, refreshing my mouth and I enjoy the crunchy texture, so I often get takeout as well. It is recommended for quick service at counter-style restaurants, perfect for lunch when you are alone and short on time.

I used to frequent San Marco often, but it had been a while since my last visit. This time, I tried a different dish as I couldn't find the spinach egg dish that was a favorite of mine. I ended up ordering a spinach and poached egg curry, along with a green salad. The salad was served first and I finished it before the curry arrived. The curry, with a soft-boiled egg instead of poached egg, had a mild flavor but was still delicious. Next time, I'll make sure to order two salads.

It seems to be a curry restaurant from the KYK Group. The restaurant has a circular counter seat, making it easy for even one person to enter. Once you place your order, it is promptly served. Perfect for a quick lunch during work hours. The menu is extensive and I had a hard time choosing, but I ended up going with the classic Beef Curry with a soft-boiled egg on top. The curry was served on a large plate and filled to the brim. I thought it might be too much, but I ended up finishing it all in no time. The beef was well-cooked and delicious. There were free toppings available at the table, such as raisins, pickled cucumbers, peanuts, and pineapple. I tried them all and was surprised to find that pineapple actually goes well with curry. It was delicious, so be sure to give it a try!

I was craving for katsu curry and found this restaurant, which offered a 50 yen discount on katsu curry that day! Lucky me! The dish arrived in about 5 minutes. The curry sauce was mild and sweet, but had a bit of spiciness afterwards. The katsu was crispy and delicious, as expected from a curry restaurant by KYK. It came with pickles, but I couldn't handle the sourness. Thank you for the meal! ★

On January 16, 2023 (Monday) around 9:05 PM, I tried Nasu Curry for the first time, and from that day on, love bloomed... For me, the Nasu Curry at San Marco is that kind of curry. I really like it. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I visited San Marco. I tried the "Honey Mustard with Melty Cheese" for 850 yen and added diced tomatoes for 50 yen. The combination of plenty of cheese, honey mustard, and curry was surprisingly delicious. The mustard wasn't overpowering, and the strong honey flavor made it suitable even for kids. However, the tomato topping and mixed spices were a letdown and didn't complement the dish well. I didn't use the lemon as it didn't seem like a good match. This restaurant has some tasty limited edition curries, so I recommend trying those instead of the regular menu items.

This is my first visit. I ordered the Big Katsu Curry at KYK Group, which has a strong visual impact. The curry was served separately from the rice. The curry had a mild spiciness and was a classic European-style curry that was safe to eat. The taste was standard and nothing stood out. As for the katsu, personally, I found it delicious. It was well made to complement the curry, crispy on the outside, not too greasy, and easy to eat. Another thing I appreciated was the service. In addition to the pickles served with the meal, there were additional toppings like pickles, pineapple, raisins, and peanuts on the table for customers to use as they pleased, allowing for flavor variation while eating. The staff were polite and attentive, which I appreciated. They also had their own stamp card system and offered Hankyu S Point rewards, making the overall experience very satisfying. Thank you for the meal.

I have been in the Nishiumeda area for 4 months now, exploring the dining scene. I have completed all the restaurants in the New Umeda Food Street except for a couple of chain restaurants. I am now moving on to the last restaurant in EST Food Hall, except for cafes and desserts. There are still around 100 more restaurants to explore in Umeda Food Halls, including Umeda Food Hall North and South. Recently, I visited a curry restaurant with a friend who loves curry. We tried their new dish, the "BIG Katsu Curry," which was visually stunning with a crispy katsu on top of colorful vegetables. The curry sauce was made with chicken bone broth, aromatic vegetables, beef, and a blend of over 20 spices. The curry was rich and flavorful, and the katsu was juicy and crispy. I personally added a lot of pineapple to make it less spicy and enjoyed the meal. The portion size was not huge, but the katsu added a good amount of satisfaction. I would like to try their omurice next time.

I always rely on the KYK group, so I thought there wouldn't be any disappointment with the cutlet, and since my first visit, San Marco has become the go-to place for cutlet curry. The colorful cutlet curry with toppings like paprika and eggplant looks great. The curry is spicy and delicious! The spices really stand out. The cutlet alone is delicious. The spicy and tasty curry sauce on top is the best. Of course, the beef curry and vegetable curry are also excellent.

It is a memorable curry that my mother used to buy for me when I was still in elementary school. I happened to come across it on Sanbangai and was drawn in. The interior of the restaurant is bright, spacious, and clean. I ordered the Winter Vegetable Curry, which contains over 10 seasonal vegetables, making it colorful. The curry roux also contains shield lactic acid bacteria, which is delicious and allows you to consume lactic acid bacteria. You can adjust the spiciness with spices to suit your taste. I also ordered the BIG Katsu Curry, which is indeed BIG. The katsu is crispy and juicy, with just the right amount of vegetables for a good balance of colors. The curry roux has the same nostalgic and addictive spiciness, and I finished it in no time. There are habanero sauce, pineapple, and raisins on the table for flavor variations. The perfectly tangy cabbage pickles are also delicious. Nearby, there are Indian curry and Kusaka curry, making it a fierce battleground for European-style curry, but this is a restaurant I highly recommend visiting. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, I have been eating lunch at Hankyu Sanbangai B2F a lot, and I have passed by this shop a few times, so I decided to give it a try. The curry was a good balance between chain restaurant and home-cooked, with a familiar taste. The staff inside the counter were energetic and refreshing. The prices are quite reasonable considering the location. The tonkatsu was not too heavy and easy to eat. They offer free self-service toppings like cucumber, raisins, and cashews, allowing for some variety in flavors. I might stop by again if I feel like it.

This is a shop located in Hankyu Sanbangai in the basement of Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station. I visited for a solo lunch on a weekday afternoon. I ordered the Cutlet Curry and Fried Oyster Curry for 1050 yen (including tax) after some hesitation. The dishes were served in about 5 minutes. The curry had no special taste but was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It is located on Sanbancho Street. It has been around for quite a long time. The seating arrangement is now spaced out at the counter due to COVID-19 precautions.
Shrimp and mozzarella cheese curry - ¥970. The curry comes with a large shrimp fry and a dollop of cheese. They offer raisins, pine nuts, and peanuts for you to add as much as you like. I particularly enjoy adding peanuts as it adds sweetness and texture, enhancing the aroma. The curry itself is slightly spicy, not overly so. The portion is generous, with a thick and rich curry sauce. Thank you for the meal.

Curry is now a national dish with many famous restaurants. The choice is up to you. The taste, spice level, and even unique menu items vary. It's common to be disappointed after visiting a restaurant that was hyped by the media. I believe that the taste of famous chain restaurants is generally well-received and delicious. One such famous chain is San Marco. I didn't specifically aim to go there, but I stopped by because I was drawn to the photo of their "Winter Vegetable Curry". First of all, the colorful vegetables are beautiful. Spinach, broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots are shaped like flower petals. The deep-fried lotus root stands out with its three-dimensional shape, showing off their skills! The taste is mild with no strong individuality, but there is a subtle spiciness that makes it delicious. The cabbage appetizer is also delicious with a sweet and sour taste. There are four types of condiments provided - pineapple, nuts, cucumber, and raisins, showing great attention to detail. It's amazing how this chain restaurant continues to pursue even higher customer satisfaction without resting on its reputation.
