I received a message from my curry friend in Fukuoka that a new curry shop by the name of "Curry Uncle" has opened in Nakasu. When I visited Fukuoka, I made sure to go there. There are many Curry Uncles out there now, but when I first started calling myself Curry Uncle ＼(^o^)／, there were no others to be found. But I digress. The curry at this shop is a Japanese-style motsu curry, which is a Fukuoka specialty. The flavor of the fried motsu permeates the gravy, creating a delicious curry. You can choose the amount of rice in a cup, with C cup being 200g. The cups increase by 50g increments, which is very Nakasu-like. This shop also serves as an information center for Nakasu, but you can visit without needing any information. I personally went just to enjoy the curry, and I had a great conversation with the staff about curry. By the way, the staff knew who I was. I chose the A cup size for rice, but I didn't mind having no rice at all. That's perfectly fine.

Friday morning (April 7th) breakfast was here. Last night, I drank at Sushi Karashima, so I wanted to eat curry. I found this place that serves curry in the morning as I was searching. I visited Fukuo Curry Ojisan's cafe and information center along the Kokutai Road, as a walk from Hakata Station. I arrived at 8:12 AM, and the small shop has a counter with 6 seats. There were no other customers, and the round-bearded man, probably the famous Carl Ojisan, welcomed me. The menu consists of Nakasu Curry and Carl Toast (2 slices of bread, salad, fried egg, drink) only, both priced at 500 yen. You can also add toppings and drinks. I ordered the Nakasu Curry. You can choose the amount of rice from 200g E cup to 700g L cup in 8 levels, all for the same price. It would be reckless to go for the L cup in the morning, so I asked for the 250g F cup, and they served warm rice. The curry is a mild, homey curry with chunks of potatoes, carrots, and beef tripe.
