Today, I went shopping in Umeda and stopped by niko and ... COFFEE at Hep Five for a cafe break. This cafe is located inside an apparel shop called Niko and, and it seems like their specialty is coppe bread. The bright and open interior operates on a self-service basis, where you order your drinks before finding a seat. I ordered an iced cafe latte (440 yen) and, of course, a coppe bread with red bean and margarine (310 yen). The coppe bread was generously filled with red bean paste, perfect for red bean lovers. The cafe latte had a refreshing taste that paired well with the red bean. My companion didn't enjoy the blueberry coppe bread, so I ended up eating most of it myself. The coppe bread was quite large, equivalent to about 1.7 regular-sized coppe breads, so it really filled me up!

First visit! I went to try the limited-time Meiji Essel Super Cup Smoothies. The menu I tried included: ☑︎ Coffee Smoothie ¥550 ☑︎ Vanilla Smoothie ¥550 Each smoothie comes with a whole Super Cup! Sweet smoothies, you can guess the calorie count ( ◜࿀◝ ) haha It's delicious, no doubt! It was my first time visiting, but I was surprised to find they have Wi-Fi and outlets, which was nice! In between shopping, I decided to take a little break and went to this shop that has a cafe attached to it. You can enter the cafe from both the apparel shop side and the street side. I visited on a Saturday at around 1:45 pm and there were 12 customers inside with only one empty table available. There were 3 people waiting, and some had to give up and leave because of the slow turnover rate. I was planning to just order a drink, but ended up adding a Umeda store limited menu item - the Niko Pan Tamago Cheese Curry (440 yen) with a Berry Smoothie (440 yen). Even though I had other plans afterwards, I couldn't resist adding the bread as well. The service was a bit slow, but the Niko Pan was thick and fluffy with a delicious combination of tangy and spicy curry, sliced boiled egg, and cheese. It was warm and satisfying. On the other hand, the Berry Smoothie was extremely cold to the point that it gave me a headache when I took a sip. Maybe the extreme contrast of warm bread and cold smoothie was too much. However, the mix of berry acidity and cream sweetness was tasty. Overall, it's a good place for a quick break if there's seating available.

I used to pass by this cute shop and it caught my attention. It's a cafe attached to nico and… shop, specializing in specialty coffee and fluffy coppe bread. They had over 10 varieties of coppe bread. Since I had already eaten at home today, I gave up on the coppe bread and just had coffee. - Cold Brew Iced Coffee ¥330 Refreshing taste with a strong flavor of the beans, delicious coffee. Today was hot like summer again, so a delicious iced coffee is the best! The shop is not very spacious, but the stylish brick and wood interior is cozy. When you feel a little hungry, you can find a wonderful shop where you can enjoy delicious coffee and bread at a reasonable price.

Lunch at niko and... COFFEE in Hep Five. The fashionable atmosphere seems to require a sense of style. I tried the special Niko Pan, a sandwich with ingredients sandwiched between special Coppe bread. The "Hirekatsu Tartar" is easy to imagine from its name. Today's soup is a soy milk pumpkin soup set. Having bread and soup for lunch at a cafe feels like being abroad. The tartar sauce doesn't overpower the taste, allowing the cutlet to shine. The soft Coppe bread paired with the soup is a reasonable price of 720 yen. Don't underestimate it...the bread is quite large. As for the soup, the pumpkin's unique texture is transformed into a thick soup with the addition of soy milk. The slices of pumpkin are a nice touch that complements the bread perfectly.

In the area, there seems to be a boom in "Coppepan" (bread rolls) recently. When I hear "Coppepan," it brings back nostalgic memories of the school lunches I had as a child, but now it seems to refer to stylish sandwiches made with various ingredients. niko and ... COFFEE is known for their specialty "Nikopan," made with additive-free Coppepan. I have always been curious about it because I like Coppepan, so I decided to give it a try. The cafe is located on the first floor of Hep Five, right next to the niko and ... shop. The stylish interior feels like an extension of the shop, with a corner sofa in moss green leather and a woody, natural vintage atmosphere. You order at the counter. The menu offers sweet and savory Nikopan sandwiches. I planned to try the hot dog, which was sold as a set with a plain hot dog and broccoli mashed potatoes. I ordered a hot coffee as my drink, for a total of 1040 yen. As I sat on the sofa waiting, the hot dog arrived – it was huge! The sausage was so big that it stuck out of the tray. The bread was not the rough Coppepan I had imagined, but rather a soft, slightly sweet butter roll. The sausage had a firm, rich flavor, enhanced by fried onions, mustard, and ketchup. The coffee was light, and the broccoli mashed potatoes provided a refreshing break for my palate. As expected, I couldn't finish it all, but the staff kindly offered to wrap up the leftovers for me at no extra charge. I had wondered about the quality given that it's an apparel cafe, but I was completely satisfied with both the food and service.

After finishing work at "HEP FIVE", I wanted to try the bread here. The store has a cool Brooklyn style, as it is operated by a fashion accessories brand. I bought Tiramisu for 300 yen, Fruit Whip for 300 yen, Blueberry Rare Cheese for 300 yen, and Egg Salad for 282 yen (excluding tax), getting two of each. The staff make the bread after you order. The large, glossy bread is slightly sweet and soft. The Tiramisu tastes just like the cake itself. Both the Fruit Whip and Blueberry Rare Cheese are filled with cream. The Egg Salad has a smooth and rich egg filling. Each bread pairs well with the ingredients and is quite filling. My wife said she was full after eating just one. I visited around 2:30 pm on a regular Tuesday. There were seats available at the counter, but due to the current situation, there was an unspoken agreement to leave a space between customers. The female staff was very polite and provided excellent service. I tried the limited edition curry egg bread. It was quite filling, especially for a woman. The taste was okay, nothing special, just your average curry egg bread. The bread was fluffy, but nothing extraordinary. The atmosphere of the shop was relaxed and pleasant. I also bought a donut to take away as a snack. It was also just average. However, it did have a nostalgic taste, just like the shop's slogan says, "traditional donuts."

The first floor of Hep Five is not a place for old men to go. While reminiscing about the Hankyu Five era, I aimed for the Nico and shop but ended up at a trendy cafe tucked away in a corner of the spacious store. The cafe can be accessed from outside as well, so the impression may vary depending on which way you enter. The cafe latte was nice and hot, and the chili dog with large sausages sandwiched between chili beans was satisfyingly filling. The Andonuts lacked creativity, which was a bit disappointing, so I felt like trying a sweet sandwich instead. I relaxed on the flashy American-style interior and fluffy sofas.

The title says it all - I love Niko Pan and visit it multiple times! It's located in HEP FIVE so it's easy to get to. They have a variety of sweet and savory options. You can choose your ingredients on the spot and they make it right away. I always go for the cookie cream, and occasionally the egg salad. I also tried the blueberry cheese once. Niko Pan is big and the coppe pan is delicious. It has a sweet taste and is fluffy, perfect for sandwiching ingredients. They pack the fillings generously! The "cookie cream" has cookie cream and Oreos on top, a guaranteed deliciousness. The "egg salad" has a gentle sweetness and is light to eat. The parsley adds a nice touch. The blueberry cheese is similar - all the sandwiches are filled generously. The fluffy coppe pan is satisfying and delicious, so I will definitely visit again.

Mango Smoothie ¥432 The taste is more like a mixed juice than mango. It's more sweet than refreshing. It comes with whipped cream and mango sauce on top, recommended for those who like sweet flavors! The store is connected to niko and, with plenty of seating, making it easy for even solo diners to enter!

On my way back from Demelra Bakery in Nakazakicho, I happened to pass by this cafe and couldn't resist going in. Feeling like having a smoothie, I ordered the Berry Smoothie. I had been curious about it for a while and finally got the chance to visit! A cafe called Niko and Coffee, which mainly serves coppepan from the apparel brand niko and..., located on the EST side of HEP FIVE facing the street. The cafe has around 10 counter seats and about 4 tables and sofa seats. It's not a very big place. First, you choose your seat and then go to the counter to place your order in a self-service style. They offer both sweet and savory items, and after some thought, I decided on the Chicken & Beets (380 yen) and a Cafe au Lait (400 yen)! The coppepan ranges from 280 to 380 yen (+tax). After ordering, they bring your food to your table. The size of the coppepan is huge!!! It's overwhelming if you're used to the size of bread from elementary school days (it's as big as a tissue box, haha). Let's dig in! The bread itself has a slightly sweet taste, probably from using plenty of milk. The outside is nicely crispy, while the inside is soft and moist. It has a nostalgic and gentle flavor. The chicken is mixed with mayonnaise, and the beets are classic shredded pickled in vinegar. The creaminess of the chicken with mayonnaise and the acidity of the beets, along with the texture of the beets, create a delicious combination. However, the chicken is chopped quite finely, so it doesn't feel like you're eating chicken very much... considering that, 380 yen seems a bit much... but it's still tasty, haha. The Cafe au Lait has a strong coffee flavor that doesn't get overshadowed by the milk, it's the type of Cafe au Lait I like. They have power outlets and wifi, making it convenient, and the atmosphere is pretty good too! Next time, I might order something sweet!

I came to Nico's cafe, which I was interested in because of its stylish atmosphere. It was lunchtime, so I ordered the most filling dish, the pork cutlet tartar Nico bread, with today's minestrone soup set. There was only a drink menu available, and although the chocolate drink seemed to be their specialty, I chose a regular cafe latte. The pork cutlet bread that arrived looked much more delicious than in the menu illustration! The bread was fluffy and substantial, just the way I like it. I'm glad it wasn't dry and hard like a plain roll. The soup was a bit spicy but had plenty of ingredients, which made me happy. The drink was also delicious in a standard way. I'm happy to see more cafes making good coffee these days. Perhaps it's due to advancements in coffee makers. The front door had a step, so strollers have to enter from the back, which I had missed before, but I'm glad I made the effort to go. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, during lunchtime, the direct sunlight coming through the windows was a bit bothersome, and the passing trains outside caused some flickering light. Thanks to the sunlight, I was able to take some good photos. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.
