Today, I was a bit nervous as a diver. My wine-loving boss, A, heard about this place and came all the way from Nagoya for a business trip. It's rare to have this kind of business trip nowadays. Our company seems pretty cool. They paired 2 types of sparkling wines, 2 whites, 3 reds, and a sweet Tokaji wine for dessert with the dishes. I definitely drank at least 1.5 bottles alone. I'm so drunk. The food is the reliable Santa Monica course! Starting with tofu, and ending with garlic fried rice, you can enjoy elaborate and delicious dishes. If the price was high, it would be a bit disappointing, but it's just an additional 500 yen on top of the regular all-you-can-drink price! I had a great time for only 6000 yen including tax. Since the management is a wine importer, they can source good value and delicious wines from around the world. Pairing them with the food at this price felt like a bargain. I will definitely come back here♪

Former colleagues from my previous job gathered together after a long time. There were 4 men (middle-aged) and 2 women, totaling 6 people at our alumni reunion. The restaurant I chose as the organizer is one that consistently impresses us, so we end up going there quite often. We opted for the casual course priced at 5,000 yen with all-you-can-drink, offering a step up in the quality of dishes. On this day, all the members were extremely satisfied with the food. The menu included: - Assorted sashimi - Grilled salmon and citrus salad - Teriyaki chicken pizza - Fish & chips - Barbecue pork - Shrimp jambalaya - Vanilla ice cream and seasonal fruits. Repeatedly returning to a place brings good things, like them remembering your preferences. For instance, since I'm not a fan of raw fish, they always start with cooked fish for me. The salmon turned into grilled salmon, which was incredibly delicious. The salad with grilled salmon was also exquisite, blending the sweetness and acidity of oranges perfectly with the wine. The pizza was not Neapolitan but crispy Roman style, with the unique umami of teriyaki and the sweetness of mayonnaise being irresistible. The fish and fried potatoes were a great pairing, leading to a switch to red wine with the rich barbecue pork. The spicy jambalaya that followed was perfectly complemented by the red wine, as was the vanilla ice cream. We managed to finish everything with just wine after toasting with beer, which was a pleasant surprise. The wines we had that day were: - Edda 2021 San Marzano, an Italian Chardonnay that was light, well-balanced, and had a strong green apple flavor. - Il Pumo Negroamaro San Marzano 2021, also from Italy, with a pleasant spiciness and a rich berry aftertaste that was not overwhelming. Besides the delicious food, this restaurant stands out for its high-quality wine selection, with the option to substitute if a bottle on the all-you-can-drink menu is unavailable. It was a fantastic time with great food, wine, and wonderful friends, all while overlooking the night view of downtown Osaka. We settled the bill quickly with PayPay. Located on the 10th floor of LUCUA, it's strange that even though it's a new restaurant, there are often empty seats while other places are crowded on weekends. The restaurant specializes in Japanese cuisine, particularly fish dishes. The taste is average, the prices are average, and the service is average. Even though they have a rule of a 2-hour limit when it's busy, they seem to have a confident attitude despite not being very popular. The dessert, a baked marshmallow, was delicious! But I probably won't come back again.

It was around midday on Saturday and things had calmed down a bit. I ordered the 4-color rice bowl. The price was reasonable. I started by eating it with soy sauce, but about halfway through, I turned it into ochazuke. There is a small flask of sea bream broth, and when you open it, it has a nice smell. I like dishes that you can enjoy by changing the taste, so I didn't get tired of it until the end.

This popular restaurant gets crowded after 11 am, so I recommend arriving early. By 12 pm, it's usually full and you'll have to wait in line to get in. I came here to try their famous Staircase Set Meal, which includes 7 side dishes. The eel kabayaki is soft and delicious, so I ordered the eel bowl. The sashimi platter with 3 types of fish is just the right size, so I got the seafood bowl. The beef steak is as tasty as roast beef, so I went for the steak bowl. The ikura (salmon roe) and salmon are irresistible, so I ordered the ikura bowl. Of course, I couldn't resist the negitoro (tuna and green onion) and avocado, so I got the negitoro bowl. The tempura with 3 types of ingredients is freshly fried and delicious. The uni (sea urchin) on top of the grilled sea bream is heavenly, so I had the uni bowl. The rice is also delicious, making it easy to eat a lot. They even provide everything you need to make ochazuke (rice in tea) - seaweed, rice crackers, and broth. With a variety of bowls to choose from, I left feeling very satisfied. The seafood was excellent, and the recommended wine looked tempting, so I want to come back for dinner next time. Limited to 20 servings, the staircase lunch is exquisite and luxurious in appearance. From the top, there are three types of sashimi, roast beef, salmon roe and yam, tuna and avocado, pork belly, tempura trio, and eel with egg. Each dish is carefully seasoned and goes well with rice. Personally, I highly recommend the pork belly and eel! You can choose between regular or large portions of rice, and there is no additional charge for a large portion.

Masayan and his wife went shopping in the Umeda area and visited a restaurant called "Chotai" because other famous chain stores had long lines. The lunch in Osaka is like this, right? Each dish was served one by one, and we enjoyed eating them. You could have unlimited refills of rice and red miso soup, which were delicious, so I had a little more of both. The red miso soup for refills was warm and tasty. I poured the salmon roe and grated yam over the rice to make a bowl. My friends were also happy, so I'm glad. I want to go again. It was good that we could make a reservation. It was nice to see customers coming in one after another. There was also furikake available, so it's okay even if you have children with you. You can refill your rice, so I felt they were considerate. Adults might also want to try the furikake. Next time, I will come with my daughter and grandchildren.

On the weekend, I strolled around Lucua. Since everywhere was crowded, I went into a less busy shop. I ordered a limited quantity lunch, and each dish was explained to me. I went for lunch around 1:00 pm and the limited menu item I was interested in was sold out. I ordered the simmered dish lunch for 1,000 yen. The simmered fish changes daily, and today it was simmered Spanish mackerel. It was delicious, the restaurant was clean, and there were people with babies in strollers too! There are sofa seats and chair seats, so it's definitely easy to go even with a stroller! The grilled fish also changes daily for 1,000 yen? Weekly maybe? On this day, the grilled fish was grilled sea bream with salt! The rice and red miso soup were free refills. I was so full that I couldn't get seconds. There was a packet of furikake placed on each table too!

We were so busy enjoying the food that we didn't even have time to take photos. The standout sakes of the day were Hinata and Harada. Hinata was light and easy to drink, perfect for sipping throughout the meal. Harada had a strong sweetness, which complemented the acidity of the tomatoes on the menu perfectly. With a great selection of sakes like Hinata, Tanosake, and Kudoki Jozu, this place offers excellent value for sake lovers. I had heard about a popular "Staircase Meal" in Kitashinchi, but I couldn't go for a while. Then, I noticed that the restaurant had moved to the restaurant floor of Lucua. I ordered the Staircase Meal! The meal is served in a staircase-like arrangement, which is visually appealing. There is furikake on the table - noritama, sake, okaka. Feel free to add it to your rice. By the way, you can have unlimited refills of rice and miso soup. With furikake, you can eat as much rice as you want (laughs). The meal includes eel and rolled omelette, tempura, braised pork, green onion and avocado, sea urchin, grated yam with salmon roe, and sashimi. A menu that makes you want to eat more rice. The miso soup is red miso. It was delicious. The visual presentation is enjoyable. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation and visited on a regular day for a gathering with my colleagues from work. We reserved the "LUCUA" course (with premium all-you-can-drink) for 5,500 yen, which included 6 dishes. The restaurant is located on the 10th floor of LUCUA, making it convenient and close to the station. We had a window seat, so the view was beautiful. The drinks were ordered by adding the restaurant's LINE account and ordering ourselves, which was convenient as the restaurant was quite busy. However, it was a bit confusing to differentiate between the regular drink menu and the all-you-can-drink menu. We opted for the premium all-you-can-drink, so there was a wide variety of drinks available. The dishes were lacking in volume and were disappointing for the price. Therefore, I only have a photo of the first carpaccio dish... Despite the variety of drinks in the all-you-can-drink option, I felt that the cost performance was not good with these dishes. Although the location and atmosphere were nice, I felt a little disappointed.
