I had a work meeting in Minato Ward. Before my afternoon appointment, I was wondering what to have for lunch. What about "Curry Udon with Rice"? It seems like curry udon with rice in it. After a short wait, the "Curry Udon with Rice" arrived, boiling like magma. There was a separate bowl next to it, maybe for that reason... I transferred it to the bowl and started eating. Wow, the noodles were smooth, and the curry and broth were perfectly combined, making it delicious to gulp down. When I crushed the egg yolk and stirred it in, it became slightly milder. The tempura shiso was crispy, and the minced fried vegetables were also good. There was quite a lot of beef in it. After finishing the noodles, it was time for the rice. The curry rice with broth was also very filling. All of this for ¥920 is a great value. There are many other types of udon on the menu, so I would like to try more in the future.

Last time I came here, I couldn't forget the delicious "dashimaki tamago" that the person next to me was eating... So I came back during lunch time. I immediately ordered the dashimaki tamago and a beer! First, the bottled beer arrived! Since the dashimaki tamago takes a bit of time, they brought cabbage pickles as a snack! It was quite tasty! I was eagerly waiting for it to arrive, and finally the dashimaki tamago came! It was a beautifully made dashimaki tamago without any burnt edges, just like a Kabuki actor! There was a large dashimaki tamago on the plate, surrounded by overflowing dashi broth! I took a bite... it was even more delicious than I expected!!! The beer also tasted even better!!! Maybe it's because of the delicious dashi broth? After that, I ordered the nabeyaki udon with tempura shrimp on top! It was also delicious! Many people seem to be drawn to the deliciousness of this place! Thank you for the meal!!!

A few years ago, I had been curious about this restaurant but had never visited. They have a menu item called "Curry Ojiya," which is curry udon with rice on the side. I visited the restaurant at 1:00 PM on a Tuesday. The interior was spacious and clean, with a bright and lively atmosphere. The service was efficient and friendly. I ordered the Curry Ojiya for 850 yen. The dish was served in a hot pot and the curry broth was flavorful. The udon noodles were thin and had a good texture. Overall, the curry udon was delicious and well-balanced. Despite being located in a less convenient area, the restaurant was still attracting customers. I would give the curry udon a rating of 89 out of 100.

Last time, the curry at Curry Ojya was shockingly delicious, so this time I ordered it with tempura shrimp on top! The freshly fried tempura shrimp enhances the hot curry even more! When I tried it, it was delicious as expected! Someone nearby is eating dashimaki tamago. As a big fan of dashimaki, I am drawn to it. It looks visually appealing and incredibly delicious! Next time, I want to drink beer with dashimaki first, and then try the curry at Curry Ojya! Thank you for the meal!

Friday is curry day. For lunch today, I went to Sanpuku in the middle of Minato Ward Office and Asashiohashi Station. I had the curry udon with rice at the bottom, known as curry ojiya, for 850 yen. It was served in a hot pot, with thin and smooth noodles that didn't get soggy till the end. The curry was a bit sweet but had a good dashi flavor, not just curry powder mixed in. The tempura udon for 680 yen came with a separate tempura side. The dashimaki tamago for 440 yen was also delicious with a rich dashi flavor. It's no wonder there's always a line at this place, it's a great restaurant. #OsakaGourmet #OsakaLunch

When I asked my coworkers where they had a delicious lunch, the first place they mentioned was Sanpukuya. The restaurant had been closed for a while, but today it was open, so I decided to give it a try. The highly recommended dish was the "Curry Ojiya," so I ordered it without hesitation. What arrived was a boiling pot of curry udon that seemed like it came straight from hell. I took a bite, and the curry udon was incredibly delicious! When the udon was gone, rice appeared from the bottom of the pot. It was indescribably delicious! When I arrived, the restaurant was relatively empty, but it quickly filled up with customers, and more than half of them ordered the Curry Ojiya. The name of the dish may be a bit questionable in my opinion, but the Curry Ojiya was incredibly delicious! It was a delicious shock, like when I first encountered curry udon! Thank you for the meal!

This is a popular udon restaurant in the Minato ward. It had been closed for a while, with a sign at the storefront saying "Inari will be taking a break due to a shoulder injury." The owner must have been injured. I heard that there are long lines during lunchtime, so I usually avoided going, but today I passed by and saw some empty seats, so I decided to go in. The restaurant had partitions set up for COVID-19 prevention and was bustling with customers. I sat near the entrance and ordered the "Curry Ojiya for 850 yen." After about 10 minutes of waiting, the piping hot Curry Ojiya was served. It came with an apron to prevent splatters, a ladle, pickled radish, and Chinese cabbage side dishes. It also had chopped fried tempura, vegetable tempura, raw egg, and green onions on top. The curry thickened with potato starch had a strong dashi flavor but wasn't too spicy, which was perfect for curry udon. The vegetable tempura wasn't crispy as it soaked in the curry, which was a bit disappointing. The udon noodles weren't too firm but were hot and mixed well with the curry. I cracked the egg halfway through, making it milder. I found the rice at the bottom, wondering where it was. After finishing the noodles, I mixed the rice with the remaining curry, and the chopped fried tempura and beef did a great job at the end. It was hot until the last bite, and I finished eating while sweating. In the end, I didn't use the ladle and apron for sharing. It was a delicious meal.

Katsudon for 700 yen including tax. The pork used for the katsu in the katsudon is very tender and delicious. They are mindful of social distancing, with acrylic dividers between seats, and only allow people who came together to sit in the same row. Of course, they also thoroughly disinfect with alcohol, making it a safe place to enjoy a meal!

Draft upload. Popular udon restaurant "Mifukuya" in Bentencho. I often visit because there is a helpful association nearby. How many times is this now? This time I chose the set with Kinoha Don. The taste is always reliable no matter what you eat. It seems that the landlady's health is not good, but I hope she takes care of herself and works hard to be healthy in the future! Thank you for the meal!

Visited the long-established udon restaurant "Sanpukuya" in Minato-ku, founded in 1967, on August 11, 2020. A popular spot loved by locals for a long time, it's always packed with regulars and repeat customers during lunchtime. After parking my car at a nearby coin parking lot and entering the restaurant, I noticed that the tables inside were set up in a way that sitting face-to-face was prohibited, and everyone had to sit side by side. This seemed to result in longer waiting times than usual, and I was finally seated at the end of the counter after about 15 minutes. On the counter, there were unlimited toppings of tenkasu, shichimi, and white sesame. I ordered the "Curry Udon" and a small portion of "White Rice." The hand-made noodles made from wheat from Kagawa Prefecture were slightly thin, with a good chewiness and a smooth texture. The curry had plenty of meat and a good viscosity that coated the noodles nicely, making it delicious. They provided a paper apron, the pickled cabbage side dish was quite tasty, and the staff were friendly, all of which made it easy to understand why this place has been loved by the locals for so long. The "Curry Ojiya" with rice included in the curry udon also looked delicious, so I would like to try that next time. #Bentencho #Udon #Sanpukuya

Beef soba for 640 yen. Dining while facing the same direction to maintain social distance! It's important in the age of Corona! Today marks my 100th visit since posting Sanfukuya on Tabelog. I usually arrive around 1:30 pm, but often have to wait as it's always full!

I usually avoid eating out, but today I decided to treat myself. I usually go for curry udon, but this time I tried curry soba instead. It was just as delicious as the udon. I wish they had a half & half option with both curry udon and curry soba together. Like a mixed zaru soba dish.

On June 25, 2020 (Thursday), I had the Curry Ojiya for ¥850 (tax included). It contains udon, rice, beef, onions, spinach, chopped fried tofu, green onions, and egg. Recommended Curry Ojiya from February 1, 2019 (Friday) also for ¥850 (tax included) with similar ingredients. Another recommended option is from January 22, 2019 (Tuesday) and January 11, 2019 (Friday) with the same ingredients and price. On November 6, 2018 (Tuesday), the Curry Ojiya was ¥850 (tax included) with a slightly different rating. Lastly, on October 18, 2018 (Thursday), there was a meal set consisting of Niku Soba and Tamago Don for ¥900 (tax included).

I went to Sanpuku-ya, a udon restaurant near Asashio Bridge, for a revenge visit after they were unexpectedly closed last time. I decided to try the recommended curry ojiya (850 yen) and dashimaki tamago (440 yen) by regular customer M. The curry ojiya was delicious! It had rice at the bottom of the curry udon, making it very filling, so if you have a small appetite, you may want to ask for a smaller portion. The dashimaki tamago was also tasty with a flavorful broth. They seem to have occasional temporary closures, so if you plan to visit, it's best to check beforehand. Thank you for the meal!

Niku Soba (Meat Buckwheat Noodles) for 640 yen. I had Niku Soba for the first time in a while, and it was delicious as always! The Niku Soba at Mifukuya has a perfect balance of meat and broth flavors, bringing out the deliciousness of the buckwheat noodles. It's also nice that they kept the price the same even with the increase in consumption tax. The staff at the restaurant are all kind and friendly.

On Saturday morning, I remembered that there was a curry restaurant called "Curry Ojiya" near Asashio Bridge, so I visited around 12:30. Surprisingly, there were 4 people waiting outside and several more inside. I decided to come back later. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed on Sundays and doesn't open at night on weekdays, so my chances were limited. I returned home and came back around 1:30. This time, there was no line outside, but inside, there were 12 people waiting. I had to wait for 25 minutes before being seated. I ordered the Curry Ojiya for 850 yen. It took another 20 minutes for the dish to be served. The curry was served in a pot, with a boiled egg on top. The curry soup was like the one used in curry udon, flavorful and mild. The udon noodles were homemade and had a nice chewy texture. I added some shichimi spice for extra heat. After finishing the udon, I transferred the remaining curry to an empty bowl and enjoyed it with rice. It was a bit thick, like curry rice. Overall, the food was delicious, but the wait time was quite long. I would consider revisiting if I have the chance to go early. The restaurant also offers a tasty katsudon, which I might try next time.

For lunch on this day, I had the popular curry udon at a well-known udon shop in Bentencho. It's a local favorite, a bit far from the station, but always lively during lunchtime. I ordered the set with curry udon and egg rice bowl. The popular curry was as expected, hot and flavorful with a mild spiciness and a hint of Japanese dashi broth. The udon noodles absorbed the curry well and had a nice irregular thickness, indicating they were hand-made. The egg rice bowl had sweet and well-cooked eggs, a classic diner taste. I have a lot of errands in the neighborhood, so I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal!
