I found [CURRY&NAAN YOUSAF ZAI], a sister restaurant of YOUSAF ZAI, a Pakistani cuisine restaurant in Tannotsu in Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City on the map and eventually a reviewer also posted a review. I visited after viewing a special exhibition at the Kyushu National Museum in Dazaifu. They close at 3:30 PM for lunch. The service was limited in English, and I couldn't find the special Biryani curry that I saw on Google and other sites. The location is in front of Wakamiya Post Office, close to the only restaurant I know, [Rairai-ken]. The exterior is plain, so you might miss it. There is a flag flying with the catchphrase "World Famous Naan Curry," which made me a bit skeptical. The menu includes 1 curry + naan + rice + salad for 500 yen, with an additional 150 yen for each additional curry. This seems to cater more towards Japanese tastes. They also offer Chicken Karahi for 1000 yen and Mutton Karahi for 1200 yen, with naan and salad. I ordered Chicken Karahi, B Set (2 curries), and Mango Lassi. The spiciness level was not asked. The Chicken Karahi seemed a bit mild and lacked depth in flavor. When I asked if this is how Pakistanis eat it, the answer was that they add more spices. The Vegetable Curry was refreshing with a tomato base and not oily, with a good aftertaste. The Mung Bean Curry had a simple taste but lacked impact. The naan was crispy and not too sweet, while the Mango Lassi was unique with a carbonated twist. Overall, the restaurant seems to cater more towards Japanese tastes rather than offering authentic Pakistani dishes. If you want to try Biryani or other Pakistani dishes, it's best to call ahead and inquire.

Well, this time I went to the second branch of a restaurant in Fukuoka. As always, they have super cheap menu items. The mutton had a Pakistani touch and was incredibly delicious.
