We visited the restaurant at night with two adults. It specializes in bird dishes, and upon entering, there is a long counter with group seating in the back. We started with a toast with beer, which was very cold and delicious. The standout dish was fried chicken skin, crispy and sweet, which went well with the beer. For the main course, we had Caesar salad, charcoal-grilled local chicken, grilled offal, stir-fried offal with bean sprouts, and assorted grilled chicken skewers. The charcoal-grilled chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy. The chicken skewers were also juicy and flavorful. Lastly, we had chicken rice porridge, lightly seasoned and delicious on its own, but even better with a little garlic soy sauce from the table. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, making it easy to enjoy the meal.

Unfortunately, I gave a harsh review here. There are many salarymen at the Kurosaki branch. However, the service is slow and disorganized. I tried ordering a course menu first, but the timing was all over the place, and I ended up waiting a lot. Quite disappointing.

The "Tobata branch" is close to the company and we enjoyed delicious food and drinks with a lively atmosphere. Knowing that there is a local Orio branch, I decided to have a drink alone after work this time! However, all the menu items I wanted to eat were set for 2-3 people, so it's not easy for a salaryman to have a drink on the way home. If they offered half-sized options for the local chicken menu, even if not half the price, maybe around 2/3, I think they would attract more customers. In Kitakyushu, a car-oriented area, it seems that the menu content does not reflect the idea of having a drink alone after work. In the end, I ended up eating the appetizer and cold tofu alone. With sake and sweet potato shochu, it cost around 1,700 yen, which is reasonable, but the solo menu options are lacking. At this point, the main branch is better suited for a lively group visit.

A few years ago, I used this place once and the notable thing was that it was cold. I didn't post about it. I think it's a good place for student parties or large company gatherings. There are plenty of dishes to choose from, but each dish is quite large so it's better to go with three people or more. The taste was average for a typical large izakaya, but the specialty chicken dish was a bit disappointing. If that's what they're promoting, I would like them to put more effort into it. It was a weekday, but the place was quite busy so I think it's a popular izakaya. This time, it wasn't cold (lol).

The taste was as good as the reputation ^-^ I made a reservation based on a friend's recommendation and entered the restaurant! Even though it was a Thursday, the restaurant was almost full. There were counter seats and tatami rooms, all of which were sunken kotatsu style. I'm not a big fan of sunken kotatsu (I had a bad experience with dust and dirt in a different restaurant before...) but this time my companion wanted it, so we went for it. However, the restaurant was spotlessly clean, including inside the sunken kotatsu. Since the restaurant was full, we were seated at a small table in the tatami room as there were only two of us. The dishes we ordered this time were: 1) Grilled local chicken using charcoal called "Hakata Jidori". It was a signature dish and very delicious. 2) Crispy salad. It was quite a large portion for two people. 3) Assorted skewers including pork belly, heart, sausage, and meatball. The saltiness of the pork belly and heart was a bit light for my taste, but each skewer was large so we were quickly satisfied. The food was satisfying, but it was a shame that they didn't have any cocktail options. Also, the speed of service could be improved, considering the small table. The staff and we were struggling to find a place to put the dishes, which made us feel uncomfortable. One more thing! If they make improvements, I would like to go back again! Anyway, it was cold! It was especially cold inside the restaurant, making it hard to focus on conversation and food. However, the food was delicious, and I'm curious about trying the hot pot, so I would like to visit again.

I moved here alone due to a job transfer and decided to casually visit this place on a Sunday around 7pm, which I had been curious about. But to my surprise, it was fully booked! I was so disappointed. I really wanted to try the charcoal-grilled chicken here, so I asked how long the wait would be, and they said about an hour. I waited on an empty stomach until after 8pm. When I finally got a seat at the counter, I felt relieved. I started with a draft beer, cherry blossom meat yukhoe, chicken yukhoe, and the eagerly awaited charcoal-grilled chicken. The hot and flavorful aroma of the charcoal-grilled chicken stimulated my appetite. I took a bite as it was, and the juicy meat juice spread in my mouth, followed by a wide range of flavors! I quickly took another bite. This time, I tried it with the recommended garlic soy sauce from the restaurant. The combination of the chicken's umami and the garlic soy sauce was also delicious. The garlic soy sauce doesn't have a strong smell, so it's not a concern at all!
