I think it's a relatively new restaurant. The exterior looks expensive, so it may be intimidating to enter, but once inside, it's a modest, ordinary eatery run by a Chinese couple. There is a TV on the wall, making it easy to dine alone without feeling out of place. The place has mostly 4-person tables and one 2-person table, so if you're dining alone, it's best to avoid peak times to not inconvenience the restaurant. I ordered the Chinese rice bowl, which was packed with ingredients - 2 large shrimp, pork, cabbage, bok choy, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, and quail eggs. The taste was not your typical Chinese rice bowl, with the flavor of pork and cabbage standing out, more like a stir-fry. It was delicious, and at 680 yen (excluding tax), it's quite affordable considering the generous portions. All dishes here are reasonably priced, with a slight increase in price making them seem more standard. Other dishes like Kung Pao Chicken, Liver and Chive Stir-Fry, Chicken Karaage, Mapo Tofu, XO Sauce Stir-Fry with Squid, Shrimp, and Scallop, and Shrimp Chili are all priced similarly. The Liver and Chive Stir-Fry had a tasty but slightly salty sauce, which may be acceptable to some. The Mapo Tofu had a unique sweet and savory miso flavor. I recommend trying the Sura Tangmen, a noodle soup with large shrimp and plenty of other ingredients, with a strong scent of chili oil. It's quite spicy, so be careful while slurping it down. About 30 minutes after eating, you'll feel warm and flushed, possibly due to the chili oil. Despite the great value, I worry about how they can sustain this pricing. Definitely worth a visit.
