I ordered the Samgyupsal course again this time. It was delicious with homemade kimchi, chijimi, and sundubu included. The staff were also Korean, which created a great atmosphere! They had spicy ramen and instant noodles in the store, so I recommend it for Korean food lovers!

Revisited after 4 years at "Ken-chan Shokudo". Last time it was empty, but this time it was almost full even on the weekend (it's a popular place). Prices have gone up slightly, but we ordered the same items as last time for everyone in our group. We ordered the domestic Samgyeopsal course (2728 yen), which included handmade kimchi, Sanchae set, domestic Samgyeopsal, thinly sliced pork called Tepe Samgyeopsal, Chorogi salad, Jijimi, Sundubu, and rice. This time, the Samgyeopsal was not cooked on a hot plate, but served in a stone pot (with lots of garlic) after being cooked (it was cut up for easy eating). Enjoyed the Jijimi & Sundubu and Korean cuisine! Also ordered the Geuramari with mentaiko (Korean-style rolled omelette), which was fluffy and delicious. Had beer, Black Nikka highball, Kurokirishima on the rocks, and Choum Chorum (Korean shochu 16%) to accompany the meal. A Korean restaurant in Awa-za where you can enjoy good food. "Thank you for the meal".

I ordered the 1980 yen Samgyeopsal course. It included domestic Samgyeopsal, Tepe Samgyeopsal, Sanchu set, Choragi salad, kimchi, chijimi, sundubu jjigae, and rice. The Samgyeopsal is cooked by the staff before being served. The portion was generous for the price, and the staff were very friendly. It was a comfortable and pleasant restaurant to dine in.

This year is coming to an end in just two days. I have been attending drinking parties non-stop and my liver is screaming. To avoid gaining weight, I am adjusting by running. Located about two minutes south of Awa-za Station on Shin-Naniwa Street is "Ken-chan Shokudo." My family doesn't like spicy food, so we had been avoiding this nearby restaurant. However, since it seemed empty from the outside, we decided to give it a try. The menu had a variety of options with generous portions. We ordered the Samgyeopsal course (1980 yen) which included: domestic Samgyeopsal, Tepesamgyeopsal, homemade kimchi, Sanchu set, Chorogi salad, Jjim, Sundubu, and two servings of rice. The Samgyeopsal was cooked by the staff in a special pot, then cut and served. We enjoyed it by putting the meat on Sanchu, adding green onion salt sauce, and topping it with garlic. The Sundubu had oysters and clams, making it a warm and satisfying dish. The food was not too spicy, making it easy for us to enjoy. It was a meal that even the two of us could finish. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I had the lunch set of Samgyetang. It was satisfying in terms of portion size, and the chicken in the Samgyetang was tender with a delicious broth. The various side dishes were also tasty.

I visited after a long time and had samgyetang. It was delicious because it was hot and the weather had cooled down a bit. ^o^

You can enjoy authentic Korean home cooking at this restaurant, and the atmosphere is great with all the staff smiling. I always want to order all the menu items, but I have to be selective to avoid overeating because everything is so delicious. The Kimbap is amazing. The salt sauce that comes with the Samgyupsal is delicious, so I always order the Teppesamgyupsal to enjoy it! I have tried almost all the menu items besides the course meals, and they are all delicious. You can savor the gentle flavors. I love this place so much that I always wish it was my home! I visit almost every week!

Lunch set with stone bibimbap and samgyetang. It's amazing. Stone bibimbap main with mini samgyetang on the side♪ When the bibimbap comes in front of you, eat a little as it is, then add a small amount of gochujang and mix it and let it sit for a bit♡ I love the crispy rice at the bottom. Delicious and the amount for this price is great. Also, the atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming for solo diners. When I'm with friends, sometimes I wish they would lower the volume of the K-POP music videos a bit. ( ˊ̱˂˃ˋ̱ )

I stumbled upon a Korean restaurant and decided to order the recommended Ken-chan course, along with Teppesamgyopsal on the side!! The Ken-chan course came with tofu salad and 6 side dishes (namul and kimchi assortment). The Teppesamgyopsal was cooked in the kitchen and brought to us... Teppesamgyopsal is thinly sliced meat that is very easy to eat... It's quite popular in Korea. I might like this one too lol. After that, we had Bulgogi and Rabokki. The Rabokki here is different... it's served without soup. Rabokki is tteokbokki with ramen inside, but the soupless version was a first for me. It was spicier than I expected. Lastly, we had Kimbap and seafood Sundubu... every dish was delicious and we left feeling full. I would like to come back again. Thank you for the meal.

The Samgyetang here is the most delicious! The lunch portion is generous, which some may find a bit too much for girls. However, I highly recommend the set with Samgyetang and Bibimbap. The Bibimbap is packed with plenty of meat and namul, with a punchy flavor in a sizzling stone pot. It really boosts your energy! At night, the Samgyupsal and Japchae are also delicious. For the Samgyupsal, I recommend the thick cuts of meat rather than thin slices. When near Awaza, this is a place you might feel like stopping by while walking along Chuo Street.

I visited Ken-chan Shokudo, a Korean restaurant in Abazu. Despite the Japanese name, it was a traditional Korean restaurant. The staff were Korean and friendly, and the interior had pictures of Korean celebrities. I tried various dishes like vegetable side dishes, mung bean sprout namul, leek pancake, and stone pot bibimbap. The bibimbap was a bit watery but flavorful with a special spicy seasoning. Overall, it was a good Korean restaurant with mostly Korean customers. Highly recommended for those who enjoy authentic Korean cuisine.

When I was looking for a nearby open restaurant because I had to work late at night, I found a Korean restaurant that I had been curious about. I was relieved to hear that they were open until midnight. Without hesitation, I went in and looked at the menu, but there were many dishes like Sundubu and Teppesanggyopsal that I didn't understand as a beginner in Korean cuisine. There was a man in the kitchen and a girl in the hall. The girl was very friendly and cute. When I asked about the menu, she kindly explained it to us. Even though my companion hesitated, I insisted on ordering Bibimbap and Bulgogi, which I like. We also ordered a half-size portion of Chijimi and Samgyetang (there was a mini size available). In the end, my companion couldn't stop talking about how delicious the Bibimbap and Bulgogi were on the way home. And today, we are making our second visit to the restaurant in a row.

After finishing some business at the Nishi Ward Office, I was in lunch mode and wandering around Nagahori-dori and Shin-Naniwa-suji, probably looking for a new restaurant. It seemed like a hassle to register, but eventually, I found a cafe-style place with a bright yellow awning in a mixed-use building 250m north of the Hankai Nishinagahori exit. The interior was long and narrow with 5 seats and 4 tables, serving 12 lunch options including soup, rice, and 3 side dishes. The menu featured dishes like Bibimbap, Yukhoe Bibimbap, Mochi and Gyoza Soup for ¥750, Seafood Sundubu, Kimchi Sundubu, Pork Bulgogi, Bibim Noodles for ¥800, Beef Bulgogi for ¥850, Stone Pot Bibimbap for ¥900, and Half Samgyetang for ¥950, as well as a daily special for ¥680. The food was delicious, with the Pork Bulgogi being a standout dish. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience despite the unassuming exterior.
